I've been using this every evening, and it's surprisingly drying! However, since it's a tube-type balm, when you spread it and massage it into your face, it quickly transforms into something like a cleansing oil. The cleansing effectiveness is very good, which might be why I feel some deep dryness afterward! You need to wet your face thoroughly and emulsify the product to really feel like it's cleansing. There's a bit of a lingering oily sensation? But since I always follow up with a second cleanse, I don't find it particularly bothersome. The emulsification process is different from other oils and balms. It's a bit slicker and requires more time to rinse off. While some might find this bothersome, I actually liked this aspect. The longer emulsification process encourages a more thorough cleanse! Moreover, oils and balms can easily cause blemishes if used incorrectly, but with this product, I experienced fewer breakouts! It's incredibly gentle on the skin. Controlling the amount can be tricky, and the quantity feels a bit limited. As mentioned in the pros, the emulsification process is longer. You need to repeat it 3-4 times to reduce the slippery feeling, but with the balm on your hands, it's challenging to create a good lather with a cleansing foam. This often leads to double cleansing. Also, it feels a bit stiff before adding water! So you end up squeezing out more than needed. While it seems there are more cons than pros, I still used it all up and repurchased it without hesitation. Instead of squeezing out a lot, use a small amount and gently massage it on your face. As someone with extremely dry skin, I didn't feel any extra dryness after using this product. It's a game-changer! My waterproof eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara are all essential for my look, but this cleanser removes everything effortlessly. It's such a relief to have one product that does it all so effectively! I'm not sure if the product is particularly oil-rich, but it takes quite a bit of product to work up a good lather. No eye irritation! When using cleansing oils or balms, eye irritation can be a deal-breaker. This one doesn't cause any discomfort, which is fantastic. The tube packaging allows for clean and hygienic use! I've used many with spatulas, but this tube format seems much more sanitary. Removes makeup thoroughly without a separate eye makeup remover. I use cleansing balms to avoid using a separate remover, and this one effectively deep cleanses even waterproof makeup! Doesn't cause any blemishes! I was drawn to this product because it claimed to leave no oily residue. True to its word, after cleansing, there's no greasy feeling, and it doesn't cause any breakouts. A little goes a long way for effective cleansing. Its rich texture means you only need a small amount for thorough cleansing. Sometimes it's difficult to dispense from the tube. Although they've widened the opening to 10mm, occasionally the product clumps inside. When this blocks the opening, no amount of squeezing helps. You might need to use something pointed to clear the opening for the product to come out smoothly.

I'll briefly summarize the key points. - I purchased it because a famous YouTuber recommended it as a product with good ingredients. - It's gentle. There's no eye irritation. - The color cosmetics are also cleansed well (I don't normally wear heavy makeup). - It's a tube type, so it's easy to store and hygienic. - It has good spreadability and causes minimal irritation. The amount seems a bit small. It's a bit runny compared to the type that is applied by spreading, so the Hwahae does not get completely resolved. The areas with abundant sebum, such as the chin and nose, were cleansed more thoroughly by using the cleansing oil again or a different one. This resulted in less irritation and the effective removal of whiteheads.

The cleansing balm did not rinse off well from my face, and after washing for a long time, it was rather more irritating to me. The makeup on the back of my hand washed off well, but it just wouldn't come off my face... I really wonder if the Makeup Prem people had even tested this on someone's face before releasing it. Hwahae or not, especially avoid irritants! The emulsion is not great either It just makes my skin hurt..
