I've been battling acne for over 15 years, starting from my school days. My skin is so oily on the surface that I can't use rich products, leaving my skin super dry underneath but greasy on top. I'm also super sensitive, so I have to be really picky about products. I have a mountain of unused skincare that didn't work for my skin... it's frustrating! - Blemishes The best thing about the Ruby Lab Exosome PDRN Ruby Spi-Shot is that it didn't cause any blemishes! I was curious about the hype around microneedling serums, so I tested a few popular products from Olive Young before buying. But when I used them on larger areas for a few days, they made my skin a bit itchy, so I had to stop. With this product, I used it only at night for over a week, and there was no irritation or itchiness. - Texture The consistency is like a serum-cream hybrid that doesn't drip when squeezed onto your cheeks. A little goes a long way - I could cover large areas with just a small amount. One 'syringe' lasted me a week. - Irritation and Feel There's a slight tingling sensation. It feels a bit like when you're at the beach and you rub dry sand on your skin - that kind of gentle abrasion. It's not painful enough to make you wince, so I didn't mind applying it. The first day, my face felt a bit sensitive even when washing it the next morning, but I got used to it and only felt the tingling during application. My skin does get a bit red right after applying.
ConsAs for the wrinkle improvement and brightening effects the product claims, I'm not sure yet... I might need to use it longer than 1-2 weeks to see results. Still, I'm satisfied that this active ingredient-packed product didn't cause any blemishes.
TipAt first, gently massage the product in, then press it into your skin. Don't rub too much or it'll hurt because of the microneedles. The syringe format makes it super easy to control how much you use each time. It's best to squeeze it directly onto your face.
