At dermatology clinics, they always follow heat treatments or toning with a cooling pack to bring down the skin temperature. Following this principle, I added hydration with the cool moisturizer.

It's not exactly budget-friendly, so using it regularly might be a bit of a strain on the wallet.

Don't apply it to your neck...
While it worked wonders on my face, my neck turned red the day after use, and I had an itchy, red rash for two days. The instructions said to apply it to both face and neck, so I did, but it seems the delicate skin on the neck was too sensitive for this! So if anyone's thinking of using it on their neck, please learn from my mistake and test a tiny amount on sensitive areas first to check for any adverse reactions!
