It absorbs well and is a gentle product that doesn't cause blemishes So far... I'm not really sure if it has any noticeable effect on pores! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinApr 19, 2025
This is truly amazing - it's the retinol cream for oily skin types. When you first apply it, it feels super rich, making you wonder if it's okay. But then it absorbs completely, leaving your skin feeling soft and matte. There's absolutely no heavy or itchy sensation. If you have oily skin and couldn't use barrier creams or retinol before because they were too greasy, give this a try! It would have been better if they called it a retinol cream instead of a pore cream. Pores are kind of inevitable, aren't they? While it does improve skin texture and pores look slightly better, it's hard to say that's the main effect. It's a shame it's not very popular, so there aren't many places offering big discounts on it. If you have oily but dehydrated skin, make sure to use a hydrating serum with this. The moisturizing effect is only about as much as you'd get from an emulsion. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinApr 3, 2025
Skin type: Combination dehydrated, Mixed Oily T-zone with widespread small blemishes across the face. Regular exfoliation of dead skin cells needed. Dry cheeks causing foundation to separate. Skin concerns: Acne, pores, blackheads, flaky skin Even slight imbalance in oil leads to small bumps. Constant presence of small blemishes, occasional inflammatory acne. Large pores in butterfly zone and nose. Redness present. Preferred texture: Light, non-sticky formulas with high hydration and low oil content. I was able to test this serum and cream for less than 3000 won as part of a welcome deal. Although the sample size was smaller than expected, not allowing for a full effectiveness test, I still wanted to share my experience. Oil-moisture balance: ★★★☆☆ As someone whose skin reacts to even slight oiliness, I always scrutinize the oil content in creams. Most pore creams I've tried have been too rich. This one is also slightly on the richer side. While it might be good for pores, it's perfect for causing breakouts, unfortunately. I won't be able to use it long-term. Pores and skin texture: ★★★☆☆ Honestly, I didn't notice any significant reduction in pore size or improvement in skin texture from this product alone. Quick review: A pore cream that's a bit heavy for oily skin types Would I repurchase: No - Heavy texture Might be too much for oily, acne-prone skin. I applied it with a serum mainly on my butterfly zone after blackhead removal, but didn't notice any significant pore-minimizing effects. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 1, 2025
It didn't cause much irritation and had great hydration and absorption, making it easy to use without any issues. It was a bit underwhelming as it didn't show significant effects on pores or blemishes. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 7, 2025
The texture is quite dense, almost like a sunscreen that feels a bit stiff when applying. However, it absorbs well, so there's not much of a lingering sensation on the skin. While I haven't encountered any issues like blemishes yet, I'm a bit concerned that the stiff texture might actually cause problems for pores, contrary to its intended purpose of improving pore elasticity. I think long-term use will be necessary to really know for sure. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinDec 27, 2024
When I wake up the next morning, my skin feels firm and supple. Both the absorption and application are excellent. I haven't noticed much effect on my pores. I think I'll need to use it for a bit longer to see results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 21, 2024
I bought this after seeing it on YouTube, and it's not bad. I've only been using it for two weeks, so I'm not sure about its effect on pores yet, but it doesn't irritate my acne-prone skin. As expected, products for pores don't show dramatic visible results. It doesn't cause pilling when applied before makeup. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 29, 2024
[Skin Type] - No major blemishes - Excess sebum all over the face, especially in the T-zone - Many acne scars from 10 years of dealing with acne - Enlarged pores in the T-zone [Texture] - When first applied, it has that characteristic heavy feel of a firming cream - However, you can feel fine particles absorbing into the skin, and as you pat it in, it gets absorbed over time - Initially feels heavy like other high-performance creams, but absorbs relatively quickly - Fragrance-free - When used with Esnature Aqua Toner, Serum - Fation Pore Firming Cream - Goodal Houttuynia Cordata Calming Sun Cream, there was no feeling of excess oil - No issues when wearing makeup either! [Performance] - Honestly, these types of pore-firming creams can be intimidating for blemish-prone skin (because it's anxiety-inducing to skip even a day of soothing products), but I felt reassured using this as it seemed to calm blemishes too - Comparing photos of my T-zone from day 1 to today, I don't feel like my pores have visibly reduced in size... - Sunscreen is a must when using this during the day! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 29, 2024

I use many Fation products, so I was thrilled to be selected as one of The Hwahae Testers! This cream has a similar texture and feel to their existing blemish cream, allowing even those with oily skin to use it comfortably without feeling greasy. While the original cream was more effective for soothing, this one has a slightly firmer texture. That's probably why they named it 'Pore Firming'. I used it until the last day of the testing period to see the pore-firming effects, but there wasn't any dramatic change. It doesn't have a cooling effect, so there were no visible improvements on pores. However, as someone with oily skin in summer, I often experience pilling and blemishes when applying cream on hot days. This one, though, was non-greasy and firm, so I could apply it well. I think it might be more effective if used with the serum from this line. If it feels a bit heavy, you can improve the feel by using blotting paper to remove excess oil.
