  Spicules are all the rage these days, so I've tried various products, but this is my first time using a spicule foam cleanser! I was a bit nervous when I heard it was 100% spicules, but I was surprised that I felt nothing when I applied it directly to dry skin. For reference, I have thick skin. Perhaps due to the BHA that's good for dead skin cell removal, my face definitely looks brighter after washing. The spicules themselves create micro-injuries on the skin, promoting self-healing and allowing skincare products to penetrate deeply, which has improved my skin texture. While I can't say it's solely due to this product as I've changed many cosmetics recently, it's non-irritating and I like it.

  I absolutely recommend using this at night. It's better to give your skin time to recover from the micro-injuries caused by the spicules, so nighttime is preferable to morning! Also, sunscreen is a must the day after use!

If you typically find the 100ml Real Barrier cleanser to be gentle, you'll likely be fine with this one too.
