The spicules mentioned in the product name are pure natural extracts processed from deep-sea sponges in pristine waters, with a needle-like structure. It was my first time using spicules, and being super sensitive skin, I was worried about potential reactions. Fortunately, my skin didn't react negatively! After using it for a week, the best part was seeing visible dead skin cell removal without irritation, and my skin texture became incredibly smooth and soft.
ConsI didn't have any particular downsides, but for those with super sensitive skin, I'd recommend not using it daily. Instead, establish a routine with regular intervals.
TipSince it exfoliates dead skin cells, make sure to replenish your skin with plenty of hydration after cleansing!

I was a bit nervous when I heard it was 100% spicules, but I was surprised that I felt nothing when I applied it directly to dry skin. For reference, I have thick skin. Perhaps due to the BHA that's good for dead skin cell removal, my face definitely looks brighter after washing. The spicules themselves create micro-injuries on the skin, promoting self-healing and allowing skincare products to penetrate deeply, which has improved my skin texture. While I can't say it's solely due to this product as I've changed many cosmetics recently, it's non-irritating and I like it.
ConsI absolutely recommend using this at night. It's better to give your skin time to recover from the micro-injuries caused by the spicules, so nighttime is preferable to morning! Also, sunscreen is a must the day after use!
TipMany say this product alone has good cleansing effectiveness, but since it contains spicules, using it immediately after makeup could potentially push uncleansed cosmetics deep into your skin, which isn't good. I strongly recommend doing your primary cleansing first, then using this as a second step.

However, with this product, I feel completely clean even with the same routine. Its cleansing effectiveness is excellent, leaving no residue behind. The texture is easy to squeeze out of the tube, not too heavy, and spreads smoothly. It's amazing how quickly and easily it lathers up in your hands, becoming light and airy. On the face, it applies with a satisfyingly rich texture. They recommend pressing it firmly into the skin, which I tried. There's hardly any stinging sensation, though I felt a slight tingling on the delicate skin of my neck, but nothing bothersome. Despite having extremely dry skin, I didn't experience much tightness after washing. Usually, effective cleansers leave my skin feeling tight and dry, but this one doesn't, which is great. I'd recommend this product for all skin types, even those with super sensitive skin, as it's gentle enough for daily use. My favorite part is how easily the foam rinses off with water.
ConsI'm not sure if it's the cica scent, but while it's close to being unscented, the faint smell it does have isn't my preference. It's a bit like the scent of a cheaper cleansing foam. However, the smell disappears completely after washing, so it's not a big issue.

Recently, with the weather fluctuating between cold and mild, my skin has been dry, full of dead skin cells, and prone to patchiness. Cleansing effectiveness: Passes as a daily cleanser! I used it as a second cleanse after makeup, and when I followed up with an exfoliating toner, there was no residue left. User experience: Although it contains spicules, there was absolutely no tingling sensation! If you typically find the 100ml Real Barrier cleanser to be gentle, you'll likely be fine with this one too. My skin had been super sensitive, so I was initially worried about a reaction, but there were no issues at all. Personally, I'm not a fan of cleansers that leave your skin feeling squeaky clean, but this one was just right! Usually, my skin feels like a desert if I don't immediately apply toner after cleansing, but this cleansing foam managed to maintain some hydration! Unlike products that make me rush to apply toner, this one left a nice finish. Highly recommended!
ConsWhile the foam is soft, it doesn't create an abundance of lather.

The product contains spicules and cica ingredients, allowing for gentle cleansing without irritating sensitive skin. It worked well even on my super sensitive skin. While it may not have strong enough cleansing effectiveness to remove makeup on its own, it's great for clearing pores of impurities and calming the skin. Plus, the 10 types of hyaluronic acid hydrate the skin, keeping it moisturized even after washing.
ConsThe fine particles of the spicules might cause a slight tingling sensation, so those with sensitive skin should use caution when applying.

My skin doesn't usually get blemishes from treatments or ampoules containing spicules. This was my first time trying a spicule cleanser, so I was worried about how my skin would react, but I didn't get any blemishes at all! I needed an alkaline cleansing foam, and I was lucky enough to win this, so I'm using it well. After using gentle products or slightly hydrating, mildly acidic cleansing foams for a while, this reminded me of products I used when I was younger - both in texture and scent. It made me feel nostalgic! This cleansing foam is definitely not for dry skin, but it seems perfect for oily skin types. I expected a slight tingling sensation from the spicules, but I didn't feel anything due to my thick skin. Just be careful not to get it in your eyes - it really stings! Overall, it works well for me, so I'll continue using it for my evening cleanse!
ConsNot recommended for dry skin! It leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean. The scent might be hit or miss for some people.
TipI strongly advise against using this both morning and night. It's best to use it only in the evening! Also, a little goes a long way - it lathers up really well, which is great.

That's when I discovered the Duenitis Spicule Cica Foam Cleanser. When choosing a cleansing product, my top priority is finding something gentle yet effective at deep-cleansing pores. After trying this product, I found it suited my skin quite well. My skin is a combination of sensitive, atopic, and combination dehydrated. Even slightly irritating products can quickly lead to dryness and redness, and when my skin's not at its best, I tend to get inflamed acne around my chin and forehead. Plus, my T-zone has large pores and excess oil, which is always a concern. I'm prone to developing small bumps from even minor buildup in my pores, so I'm extremely cautious when selecting a foam cleanser. This product has a really rich, creamy texture. It feels dense when dispensed, and with just a bit of water, it creates a soft, luxurious lather that glides over the skin without irritation. On days I wear makeup, I use this after my cleansing oil, but even on bare-faced days, using this alone leaves my skin feeling refreshed. It provides a squeaky-clean finish without drying or tightening, striking a great balance. What I particularly loved was how effectively it cleared out pores and impurities. After using it consistently for a few days, I noticed a significant reduction in the small bumps I usually get, and my skin texture felt smoother overall. My makeup applied better, and there was less emphasis on flaky skin, which was really satisfying. Thanks to the cica and spicule ingredients, there's no irritation at all. In fact, it even has a calming effect post-cleanse, making it suitable for use even on sensitive days. I was initially worried about the spicule ingredient based on past experiences, but this product caused no discomfort and was fine for daily use. Above all, I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a gentle yet thorough everyday cleanser. It's especially suitable for those with sensitive, combination dehydrated, or acne-prone skin! To sum up: - Suitable for sensitive, acne-prone, and combination dehydrated skin - Gentle cleansing with rich lather - Clears pore impurities, reducing small bumps and improving texture - Leaves skin moisturized without tightness after cleansing - All-in-one daily cleanser for soothing, exfoliating, and hydrating I'll definitely repurchase! It's perfect for those times when my skin feels sensitive, and I think it'll be a staple in my daily routine going forward.
ConsIf I had to point out one minor drawback, it would be the product size. Because it lathers so well and feels so good to use, I find myself using it twice daily, which means I go through it quite quickly. In seasons like this with high pollution levels, when I might cleanse two or three times a day, I wish there was a larger size option available. Also, while the product's gentleness is a major plus for sensitive skin, it might initially make you wonder, 'Is this really cleansing my pores thoroughly?' due to its lack of noticeable sensation. However, after a few days of consistent use, you'll notice a visible reduction in small bumps and smoother skin texture. That's when you realize, 'Ah, so this is why it's effective despite being so gentle.' So while you might initially doubt if it's 'too gentle,' you'll soon discover that it's a product that comforts your skin while delivering noticeable changes. This realization actually increased my trust in the product and is why I keep reaching for it. In conclusion, despite these minor quibbles, the satisfaction and effectiveness of this product far outweigh any drawbacks. At this point, my only real concern is that I use it up too quickly, making me think, 'I should stock up on the next one in advance!'
TipFor those with sensitive, atopic, and combination dehydrated skin like mine, even just cleansing can make or break our skin condition. That's why I always use this foam cleanser with a 'foam net.' While the product itself has a rich texture that lathers well even with just hands, using a foam net creates an even more abundant and fine foam. This significantly reduces the physical contact between your hands and skin, which is crucial, especially when dealing with acne or sensitive skin. Also, instead of rubbing all over, I focus on my T-zone (nose and cheeks) where I'm most concerned about oil and pores. I gently massage these areas with the foam for about 1-2 minutes. This noticeably helps in clearing out blackheads and excess oil. Another tip: after cleansing, wait 10-20 seconds before applying your skincare products to check your skin's condition. This cleanser maintains a good oil-water balance without causing dryness or tightness, so your skin feels comfortable even without immediate moisturizing. Unless my skin is extremely dry or irritated, I simply pat on a soothing ampoule after cleansing, followed by a hydrating cream. This simplified routine has actually reduced the occurrence of small bumps and made my skin less reactive. Key points: - Foam net is a must! → Reduces irritation and creates rich lather - Spend extra time gently massaging areas with pores/excess oil - Check skin condition post-cleanse before applying skincare Following this method, I've noticed my skin stays in a more stable condition just from proper cleansing. Since the effectiveness of a product can vary greatly depending on how it's used, I highly recommend trying this approach, especially if you have sensitive or acne-prone skin!

Skin type: Atopic, blemish-prone, extremely dry Scent: A fresh, herbal scent? It has that distinctive aroma typical of cica products. Texture: Some foam cleansers barely lather, but this one produces a decent amount of foam, though not excessively rich, even with a small amount. Cleansing effectiveness: It doesn't leave your skin feeling squeaky clean, but it's adequately effective. When I used it alone (without cleansing oil) to remove concealer-based makeup, it worked well. After using an exfoliating toner, there was no residue. Post-cleanse, my skin didn't feel overly tight.
ConsFunctionality: I didn't notice any significant exfoliation. Also, I didn't experience any noticeable soothing effect on blemishes. Irritation: The product label states, 'A slight tingling sensation due to spicules is a characteristic of this product. This beneficial stimulation helps maintain healthy skin.' I didn't notice it at first, but later felt a slight tingling. While it wasn't intense for me, those with super sensitive skin might find it more noticeable. After using this product, I started seeing small bumps appear one by one, which seemed to spread gradually. While I can't definitively blame this product alone, since I always use the same skincare routine, it made me think this product might not be suitable for my skin.

It felt gentle enough that even those new to spicule products could use it as an introduction to this ingredient. ✔️Having combination dehydrated skin, I usually prefer products with good cleansing effectiveness that thoroughly remove excess oil. This product satisfied me with its rich foam texture that cleansed thoroughly even with just one wash. ✔️I typically look for products that exfoliate dead skin cells and care for pores, but I often avoid peeling gels or wash-off formulas as they can be cumbersome to use. In contrast, this product's big advantage is that it allows for easy dead skin cell removal and pore care during the basic cleansing routine.
ConsWhile I was generally satisfied with the product, I felt the price was slightly high compared to the amount you get.

I'm so glad I got the chance to try it. With 0.00 skin irritation and containing centella asiatica extract, it's great for soothing and well-known for pore management. It's incredibly popular! Even with just a small amount, it creates a rich, creamy lather that's so satisfying. The scent is pleasantly refreshing. The spicule effect is said to provide exfoliation, and after cleansing, my skin feels so clean and refreshed that double cleansing isn't necessary. This low-irritation cleanser that tackles both pore care and exfoliation - I highly recommend the Newtinys Spicule Cica Foam Cleanser!
ConsThe price seems a bit high for the amount you get. I wish they'd come out with a larger size!
