  I honestly can't think of a single positive thing to say about this product.

  The pads are incredibly stiff and irritating. While they feel moist to the touch, when applied to the face, it's like wiping your skin with a rough washcloth - either due to the pad texture or the awkward essence distribution. I wouldn't buy this even if it were $5. I purchased it because of the good reviews, but now I realize they're all from The Hwahae Testers. This is the first time I've felt misled by their reviews. If you have sensitive skin, steer clear of this product.

  Pros

  As a loyal user of Hwahae and a repeat buyer of Hue:Calm's Houttuynia Cordata Foam (now on my third bottle!), I'm excited to share my honest review of their new exfoliating pads made with the same star ingredient. I had high hopes for this product, and while it didn't quite meet all my expectations, there are still some positives worth mentioning: ✓ Simple, user-friendly packaging ✓ Convenient storage with included tongs ✓ Free from harmful ingredients according to the Hwahae app ✓ Innovative use of Houttuynia Cordata for exfoliation

  Unfortunately, there were a few drawbacks that left me feeling a bit disappointed: • The pads are thick and stiff • There's a very limited amount of essence The pads have a thick, non-woven fabric texture that feels quite rigid and rough. Combined with the minimal essence, this made the pads feel quite harsh on my skin. The thickness and lack of flexibility mean they can't be used as a leave-on treatment for dissolving dead skin cells. While they're meant to be used as an exfoliating toner, I found the material and lack of essence made them unsuitable for this purpose as well. Despite containing Houttuynia Cordata, the concentration seems quite low, which was another letdown.

  Tip

  Due to my dissatisfaction with the pad material, I plan to try squeezing out the essence and applying it like a serum instead. I really wish the formula had a higher concentration of Houttuynia Cordata and more hydration overall. It would make for a much more pleasant exfoliating experience!
