It's a clay mask with little green bean granules embedded in it. I scooped it out with the spatula that came with it and applied it thickly to my face. After 10-15 minutes, I used the flat spatula to wipe off the clay. I would put it on my face on special occasions. It didn't harden and dry out over time, so I could keep it moist until the end.
