This is my honest review of a product I purchased with my own money! As the weather gets hotter, many of you are probably concerned about your makeup melting off, right? Especially now that we're spending more time without masks, the staying power of our base makeup has become even more crucial. The TAG Velvet Setting Fixer is a product you spray on as the final step of your makeup routine. It covers your entire face with a light, fine mist. It leaves your skin feeling moisturized, while giving it a velvety, matte finish on the surface! ✔️ 100ml size ✔️ Fine mist spray ✔️ Available at Daiso for just 5,000 won I noticed that my makeup lasted much longer, especially when I focused on spraying areas prone to oiliness in summer like the forehead, nose bridge, and jawline. It also reduced makeup transfer onto my mask! (The effect is really good) [Fixer Pros] 1. The fine mist allows for irritation-free application 2. Velvet finish gives a texture between matte and dewy 3. Unbeatable value for money (typical Daiso quality) 100ml beast of a size, lasts all summer 4. Suitable even for those sensitive to fragrances [Fixer Cons] 1. For very sweaty summer days, a powder + fixer combo might work better than the fixer alone [Repurchase Intention (5-star rating)] 5 out of 5 stars! Yes! I'd repurchase this as a summer staple and backup fixer to keep in my bag It'll be especially essential for outdoor events or long days out For very sweaty summer days, a powder + fixer combo might work better than the fixer alone. TIP: Spray lightly 2-3 times from 20-30cm away from your face - that's enough! I noticed that my makeup lasted much longer, especially when I focused on spraying areas prone to oiliness in summer like the forehead, nose bridge, and jawline. It also reduced makeup transfer onto my mask! - vt******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJun 20, 2025
I initially bought this because it was cheap and wanted to give it a test run, but I ended up really liking it. My makeup stays put without smudging until late afternoon, which is impressive. Among all Daiso cosmetics, this is the product I'd recommend the most. The spray isn't terrible, but I prefer a finer mist for more even application. I actually transferred it to another bottle with a finer spray nozzle so I could get a more delicate, even coverage. It's great to find affordable products that perform well. This one seems to work hard at keeping makeup in place throughout the day. For those who are particular about application, you might want to consider using a different spray bottle for a finer mist, which can help achieve that coveted even complexion. - ye*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedJun 10, 2025
Summer Essential for Oily Skin As someone with combination dehydrated skin that's an oil slick, I can't imagine doing my makeup in summer without this product! It's not about stopping oil production, but rather preventing your makeup from caking, peeling off, or breaking down in an unsightly way. It's an absolute game-changer! I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who wants their makeup to fade gracefully, regardless of skin type. If you've struggled with makeup that deteriorates badly, please, I beg you, give this a try! Makeup Longevity: I tend to apply my base makeup quite heavily. When using this product, even in hot weather during outdoor activities, while some oil does come through, the base itself doesn't crack or melt as much. I noticed a significant improvement, and it truly helps your makeup fade beautifully. Plus, I usually apply several thick layers of mascara, which used to smudge on my eyelids over time. Since using this product, that issue has completely disappeared, leaving me absolutely thrilled! Irritation: Despite having rather sensitive skin, I didn't experience any noticeable blemishes or irritation after using this product, which was another huge plus for me! Value for Money: Can you believe the amount you get for this price?! I think it's a legendary value setting spray, and I'm baffled as to why it's not more popular... The one and only drawback was the spray nozzle... The packaging is clearly on the cheaper side, so the spray distribution isn't the best. It doesn't dispense evenly, so you need to spray quickly in succession to get somewhat even coverage. That was the only slight disappointment. You know those fine mist spray bottles they sell at Daiso? If you transfer this product into one of those, the spray distribution becomes perfect. With this hack, you won't need any of those fancy setting sprays from Olive Young. This one product is all you need!!!!! - he********Normal SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 9, 2025
The foundation's staying power is surprisingly good. I used it during a sweltering Bangkok trip, and it held up for a couple of hours even when I was drenched in sweat! The spray mechanism isn't great. I've transferred it to a mist spray bottle I bought from Daiso, which works much better for me. The foundation's ability to withstand heat and humidity is impressive, making it a reliable choice for tropical climates. However, the packaging could be improved to enhance the application experience. - kc*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 24, 2025
As a fixer, it's fantastic for the final touch or as a base. It works well regardless of skin type. Even in bright sunlight, your makeup stays put without breaking down! However, there's a slight downside - it can smudge a bit when first applied. Also, it can feel a bit heavy and stuffy, so it's crucial to have a solid skincare routine before applying makeup and then using this. Still, using a generous amount tends to yield better results! It's great to spray it on your makeup puff when doing your base! Also, for enhanced staying power, try spritzing it between makeup steps. - hc*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 23, 2025
I didn't expect much because of the low price, but it turned out better than I thought! The fixing power is pretty good, and the scent is so lovely that I keep wanting to smell it. It's a great option for those looking for an affordable product. The fixing power isn't extraordinary - I'd say it's more of a moderate level of performance. It works really well when sprayed on a cushion puff - definitely worth trying! - tj*********Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 20, 2025
I've been using the All Day Fixer for a while, but let's be honest, even though it's cheaper, it's still a bit much for a student's budget. Then, just at the right time! Daiso released their Tag Fixer, and the reviews were fantastic, so I decided to give it a try. And wow... it's really great! There's definitely a noticeable difference in how long my makeup lasts when I use it compared to when I don't. It helps prevent my makeup from separating or breaking down, and the best part? It's only 5000 won! I think this would be perfect for students to use on school trips or when going out with friends. Occasionally, the spray doesn't come out in a fine mist as it should, but rather in small spurts. If this happens, just give it a good shake and try again. This affordable setting spray from Daiso is a game-changer for budget-conscious beauty lovers. It works hard to keep your makeup in place, giving you that coveted Inner Glow without breaking the bank. Perfect for combination dehydrated skin types, it helps balance oil and moisture while ensuring your complexion stays fresh all day. Remember to layer it as the final step in your makeup routine for best results! - se*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresMay 20, 2025
It feels soft and powdery without any strange scents, which is great. It holds up well for about 5-6 hours, but after that, it gets a bit oily. No worries though, a quick touch-up with some powder should do the trick. It causes blemishes. While it doesn't feel heavy on the skin, I'm getting small bumps around my chin and nose - might be an allergic reaction or tiny pimples. Be careful when using this... - eh******Dry SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 19, 2025
When sprayed, it is moist and absorbs to become fluffy. For 5,000 won, it's not bad. It seems to prevent the need for touch-up makeup, which is good. The lasting power is also good, so I think I'll use it well in the summer. The lack of a mist sprayer is disappointing. I've been using it by purchasing and inserting another sprayer, and it's been working well. - ki************Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedMay 17, 2025
It will take 4-5 hours, with a feeling of going up to 8 hours. It is maintained even when water is applied. It actually becomes a bit more radiant. It was horrifying when the makeup I applied kept peeling off. I thought maybe I had used it incorrectly, so I looked into it from various sources, but... it seems the product just doesn't suit my skin type.😅
