* User skin type - Sensitive/Dry * Product texture - Liquid cream * Recommended for - Sensitive/Dry/Combination dehydrated skin * Review - Great as a base with sunscreen functionality. No brightening effect, but has a pearlescent finish. Creates a hydrated look! It's not ideal to use alone, but when mixed with sunscreens or foundations that I found drying before, it works wonderfully. Suitable for use year-round, except perhaps at the height of summer. The quantity is too small, making it not very cost-effective as a sunscreen or base substitute... Applying with a brush makes your skin texture look improved. - ki**********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJan 24, 2025
After its release, it was sold at a great price as a set with a brush. Etude is part of the Amore Pacific group, and it's always been a brand that delivers value beyond its price point, so I didn't hesitate to purchase it. With SPF50+/PA++++, it's great that the sun protection factor is higher than many other sun bases that often have PA+++. This suggests it offers better protection. It's described as a sun base with a pearlescent effect, but it's closer to a dewy, hydrating emulsion texture rather than having obvious shimmer. You could say it gives a nice glow, or from another perspective, it has a bit of shine to it. As for tone-up effect, it doesn't dramatically whiten your skin, but gives about a half-shade brighter look. At first, I was disappointed by the subtle tone-up, but as I used it more, I realized this was actually a plus. Since it's meant to be used as a sunscreen, if it whitened too much with just a small amount, it would be hard to apply the proper amount for sun protection. Oh, and it's not drying, which is great for winter. In my case, even in January, I need to use powder with it. If you apply a matte cushion foundation over it, you can achieve a dewy look, but on its own... well! While Etude targets a younger demographic, this base seems more suitable for dry, aging skin. The official website promotes that it contains 72% skincare ingredients. In summer, the moisturizing, slightly shiny finish of this product might feel a bit heavy. - ho******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedOct 21, 2024
The color is similar to foundation, making it easy to apply. It's packed with hydration, so it spreads smoothly and feels moisturizing. The adherence to the skin is also great! In my opinion, the texture is a bit runny. When I applied it with my hands, it felt like the product was dripping. I wish the consistency was a bit thicker. I usually don't like makeup that's too glowy, but if you set it lightly with powder, it creates a beautiful skin finish! - so*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedOct 10, 2024
You can apply it by patting it onto your face with your hands, or use the complimentary multi-base brush to spread it thinly. After applying a suitable amount on the back of your hand and spreading it thinly across your face, you can finish with a puff to eliminate any brush marks. Alternatively, you can gently pat it with the flat side of the puff to remove brush streaks. I used it without experiencing any dryness or blemishes. While watching Etude's Naver Live, the most common question in the comments was about the difference between the Nymph Glow Volumizer and the Glow Fix Brightening Moisturizer. The Nymph Glow Volumizer doesn't contain pigments, while the Glow Fix Brightening Moisturizer, as the name suggests, contains tone-up ingredients and has color. You can think of them as completely different products. Both products provide a glowing and hydrating finish. This product gives an intense glow, so make sure to apply it in thin layers. I found that using a brush to apply it worked better than using my hands.
