When I first saw the actual product, the color seemed too dark, but when I applied it, it went on smoothly and brightly, which was surprising. I think people who suit light-colored cosmetics will like this and reach for it often! Since my skin is not in the best condition, I was worried about how it would look on my skin, but when I applied it around my cheekbones and the butterfly-zone unevenness, there was no emphasis on the unevenness, and it seemed to give a inner glow, which I found really pretty. This was the part I liked the most! It gives a shimmery effect without making the base slip, which is common with liquid formulas. Since this is a balm-type, the base doesn't peel off. And the subtle, reflective glow, not a glaring wet look, is just gorgeous...๐ฅน The light color means it can be used as a blush for lighter makeup looks, and as a highlighter for more intense makeup, to add a nice pop of highlight.
ConsWhile using it directly on the skin, there is a slight transfer, but it's not to the extent of the base peeling off, so it's fine. However, I thought that having to wipe off the transferred foundation every time could be a bit of a hassle. The coverage is on the lighter side, so it may be a matter of personal preference.
TipIt seemed like tapping and spreading it with a puff worked better for the color payoff than using it buried in puff. The blush was most intensely pigmented, and gently pressing it on the nose, cheekbones, and chin also looked really, really pretty, especially on the cheekbones. ๐ฅน๐ฅต๐ค๐ป๐ป๐๐ซถ๐ป

It wasn't too heavy or burdensome. I also have large, dry pores on my cheeks, and powder blushes would always clump up and lift off later. But the Hince Radiance Balm is a moist type, so I don't have to worry about it lifting. I chose the Shelly Pink shade and found that it works great not just as a blush, but also for my lips. Just applying this one product gives me a vibrant, fresh-faced look, even without any other makeup.
ConsIf I had to pick, I'd say it's a night-type, so there's nothing I can do about it, but when I apply it to my lips, it does feel moisturizing, though it's a shame that it all rubs off!
