I once tried a liquid blush hoping for hydration, but the color payoff was so intense I barely managed to salvage my look. With this product, I don't think I'll have that worry. It creates a beautiful pink glow while letting your skin shine through, giving a dewy, plump finish. As my skin gets drier in colder weather, adding this after my base makeup gives me that skincare glow plus a healthy flush. I absolutely adore the Hince brand and have tried most of their product lines. I'm so glad I got to test this! Being a stick balm, I think it'll really shine in winter!!!! Additionally, the tiny shell-shaped puff is super cute, and the pastel pink-lavender packaging just puts me in a dreamy mood. Note: The photos were taken under fluorescent lighting. I took shots in two different locations as the color can vary with lighting. I've also included swatches alongside other light-toned blushers for my fellow cool-toned friends to compare :)
ConsThis balm texture might not suit: - Those who want intense color payoff - Those who prefer a matte skin finish
TipDepending on your base makeup, applying the stick directly to your face might cause pilling. Instead, use the adorable mini puff to control the amount, then gently pat it on for a beautiful finish! It works perfectly when applied to the cheek areas where you'd normally highlight✨.

ConsIf you apply it directly on top of makeup, the balm can get messy and cause pilling, so I absolutely recommend using a tool to apply it!

My skin also has texture around the nose and cheeks, plus some blemishes. The product comes with the main item and 3 mini puffs. I was surprised by how intense the color looked at first, but when applied, it goes on sheer and looks amazing. If you suit lighter makeup, you'll love this and reach for it often! My skin isn't great, so I was worried about how it would look. But when I applied it between my cheekbones and the textured areas around my nose and cheeks, it didn't emphasize texture and gave me a beautiful Inner Glow. This was my favorite part! I usually use liquid formulas for a dewy look, but they often cause my base makeup to pill. This balm formula doesn't disrupt my base at all. Instead of an intense shine, it gives a subtle, light-reflecting glow that's absolutely stunning. Since the color is sheer, you can use it as a blush for lighter makeup or as a highlighter for more intense looks.
ConsThere's a bit of transfer when applying directly to the skin, but it doesn't remove the base makeup, so it's not a big issue. However, some might find it annoying to wipe off the foundation that transfers onto the product each time. The sheer color might be hit or miss for some people.
TipI found that instead of using the puff to apply, it works better to gently press the product onto desired areas and then blend with the puff. This gives better color payoff! It looks gorgeous when applied as a blush, then lightly tapped on the nose, cupid's bow, and chin. It's especially beautiful on the cupid's bow.

I have large pores and dry skin on my cheeks, so powder blushes always ended up caking and flaking. But with Hince Radiance Balm being a moisturizing type, I don't have to worry about that! The Shelly Pink shade is great not just for cheeks but also for lips. I feel like applying this alone on bare skin would give such a lively look!
ConsIf I had to point out a downside, it's that while it's moisturizing on the lips due to its balm-like nature, it tends to transfer easily, which is a bit disappointing.

With the current trend of dewy, glowing makeup and blushers that give an Inner Glow, this product is a must-have! If you're looking for something like that, you can't go wrong with this. It applies naturally with a subtle color, but the way it creates a hydrated complexion is simply amazing! Apply it to your cheeks, nose tip, and chin for a soft and adorable makeup look. It's convenient to carry around, and being a stick format, there's no excess powder like with regular blushers. It's especially great for use during the dry autumn and winter months! The color is true to its name - a soft pink, just like a rose.
ConsSince it's applied at the end of your base makeup, it might be tricky to get the color to show up as it can mix with your foundation. It's also unavoidable that some foundation gets on the stick, which is a bit of a downside.
TipInstead of applying it directly over your base makeup, I recommend using a blusher puff to pick up the product and then gently pat it onto your skin.

It feels like a combination of blush and balm, so it's super convenient for busy mornings or quick makeup looks when you're in a hurry. The color seems to be a cool-toned pink, but when applied to the cheeks, it transforms into a natural pink hue that would work well for both cool and warm skin tones. The pink tint isn't overpowering, it's subtle, and the balm effect adds a glow. Even when used over sunscreen, it makes your skin look healthy and vibrant.
ConsIf you apply the balm stick directly onto skin that's already oily, it might cause your base makeup to pill. For those looking to use it as a blush replacement, the color payoff might be a bit disappointing. (Personally, I prefer a natural-looking tint, so I'm very satisfied with it.)
TipInstead of applying it directly to your skin, try warming up the product on the back of your hand or palm to soften the texture, then pat it on with a puff. This method prevents pilling and allows you to add a glow exactly where you want it. If you have oily skin, you might want to lightly dust some powder first to reduce excess oil, then apply with a puff. I highly recommend this for those who prefer a natural, 'no-makeup makeup' look or for anyone who wants a quick solution for busy mornings!
