It applies lightly and absorbs rapidly, leaving a fresh finish. Having used various pore products like MTS, needle shots, and air shots, I'm accustomed to them, so I didn't find it particularly stinging on my skin. Compared to other products, I felt it was less irritating. The needle sensation lasts until the next day's cleansing, and after washing, my skin texture feels smoother, and makeup applies better than usual. It was more effective for pores than needle shots or air shots, with noticeably reduced pore size. My skin looks brighter, and even those bothersome blemishes seem slightly faded. While it's effective, it's actually less irritating, and it even helped calm skin bumps and redness. My skin feels firmer, and my overall skin condition has improved.
ConsThere weren't any major drawbacks with the product. In fact, I used it so satisfactorily that I wish there was a larger size available!
TipMoisturizing after application is essential. For those with super sensitive skin, it's better to adjust the frequency of use to 2-3 times a week rather than daily.

Its low viscosity allows it to penetrate without any sticky feeling, resulting in a light and comfortable application. Benefits Users report that it effectively manages pores, visibly reducing their appearance, and provides a brightening effect that evens out the complexion! While I haven't personally noticed significant changes in my skin yet, it seems to regulate excess sebum production, making it suitable for oily skin types.
ConsDrawbacks For those with dry skin, using this product alone may not provide sufficient hydration. Especially for extremely dry skin types, you might need to pair it with additional moisturizing and soothing products. If you have super sensitive skin like me, I'd recommend patch testing first. I experienced quite a bit of tingling, and noticed my face becoming red during application.
TipOverall Assessment This product is primarily suitable for oily and combination skin types looking for pore management and complexion improvement. It's recommended for those who prefer a fresh finish! If you typically respond well to niacinamide, you're likely to be satisfied with this product!

The product absorbs well and feels light on the skin.
ConsThe scent isn't great... I wish they had made it fragrance-free. However, it's not overpowering, so I've gotten used to it now.

It has a lightweight emulsion-like texture. The scent is sweet and familiar, though I'm not sure if it's pleasant or not - to me, it doesn't smell like ginseng. After application, there's a temporary brightening effect. It seems to help fade blemish marks quickly.
ConsPerhaps due to winter, the product feels light and slightly more drying than other spicule products. Those with dry skin might need to layer a moisturizer on top. It's a toner-essence-emulsion (cream) hybrid. The ginseng ingredient might contribute to its higher price point. While I've gotten used to the tingling sensation from other products, I still feel it every time I apply this one.
TipThe spicule size is larger than Wellage but similar to or slightly smaller than Daiso's.

No stickiness or heaviness. The fragrance-free formula was inoffensive. Experience: It feels stronger than the Daiso 300. I used it once every 5 days and noticed improved pore elasticity and healing of troubled skin! The next day, I definitely felt a smoother texture. Even with my sensitive skin, I had no issues, likely due to the good ingredients.
ConsThere aren't really any cons, but if I had to mention something: Tingling: As mentioned earlier, it tingles a bit more than Daiso 300. It's best to start with cheeks or nose area, and if it feels okay, apply to the whole face. Quantity: The product comes out in small amounts, so I needed to pump 2.5 to 3 times. (The photo shows one pump.) While it might seem pricey for the quantity, I'd likely repurchase after finishing it.
TipI always follow up with a mask after using this spicule treatment. It feels like the mask ingredients penetrate better, and I've heard it's important to moisturize well afterwards. I recommend using the spicule treatment at night rather than in the morning, followed by a mask! I spaced out my treatments to every 5 days, but using it every 3 days should be fine too.

Texture: Not drying and non-sticky. Feels like a very light gel (lighter texture than other brands' Riddle Shot 100) 👍 2. Application: True to its name as an essence, it absorbs lightly 👍 3. Blemish-calming effect: No new blemishes appeared when using this product. Feels generally suitable 4. Packaging: Good grip. Solid transparent lid. Pump dispenses easily with minimal pressure 👍
Cons1. Pore-refining effect: Minimal effect on tightening pores. (This might vary individually, but my pores are quite large so I didn't notice much difference) 2. Hydration: The light texture provides quick hydration, but for combination dehydrated skin types, additional moisturizing is needed soon after 3. Sensitivity: Less tingling than other brands' 500, but more than their 100. Might be challenging for those with super sensitive skin
TipNot recommended for those who find other brands' Riddle Shot 100 tingling For combination dehydrated skin, suggest using as a night treatment paired with a rich cream

There's no particular scent, and the texture is similar to regular essences. After applying toner or serum and letting it absorb, you can feel a slight tingling sensation immediately -> If you apply a generous amount of serum and then this product right on top, there's no stinging even when you rub it in. Also, if you just apply a light layer of toner and then this product, you won't feel much irritation if you don't rub your skin -> Actually, you might feel more tingling when applying cream afterwards. Due to my severe redness, I avoided the center of my cheeks and forehead, and applied it separately to areas with dark spots on my cheekbones, butterfly zone, jawline, chin with whiteheads, and pores on my nose. 1. Dark spots on cheekbones > Even after professional treatments, there were still traces, but they definitely seem lighter now. 2. Butterfly zone > It actually seems to have made small blemishes more noticeable, so I'll need to use it more consistently! 3. Jawline > No changes 4. Chin with whiteheads > They're still visible when I stretch my chin, but my skin looks smoother in its normal state! 5. Pores around nose > After skincare, they seem to have shrunk so much that my skin looks completely smooth! Makeup also applies well without pilling! Surprisingly, it didn't cause blemishes, and instead of a burning sensation, it felt refreshingly cool, which was interesting. Compared to other essences, it feels more like a treatment, so I plan to use it consistently, alternating with my other essences every other day.
ConsIt might feel too harsh to use on its own, and it lacks hydration. It seems it would be less irritating and more hydrating if used with a serum rather than a toner, and with a mask rather than a cream. Due to the nature of the product, you'll inevitably feel a stinging sensation if you lie down on the pillow on the side where you've applied it (the next day, areas where the mask touches also sting).
TipChoose specific areas you want to treat. Use it immediately after toner and serum, before they're fully absorbed. Apply it by patting it on rather than rubbing. Use a mask before the product is fully absorbed. On days when I only wear sunscreen, I follow up with cream and carrot pads. On days when I wear makeup, I use a full-face sheet mask afterwards for additional care!

Despite being a needle essence, it applies smoothly and doesn't feel burdensome to use - Irritation: Hardly felt any strong irritation. There's a slight tingling during application, but personally, it wasn't very painful After using it in the evening, I could feel my skin becoming softer and having a subtle glow the next day
Cons- Price point The effects like improving elasticity or skin regeneration can be noticeably felt only with consistent use. Satisfaction might be low with short-term use, so long-term care is needed, but the price point might be a bit burdensome for some - Needle residue While most of the needles dissolve and absorb into the skin, you might occasionally feel a slight residue. This might be felt more strongly especially if you have dry or sensitive skin, so it's better to use it after applying a light base
Tip1. Make sure to apply a regenerating cream after using the product. If you don't have one, a regular cream or emulsion works too 2. Gently roll to help the needles absorb well into the skin. The more you do it, the better 3. As skin sensitivity can vary, I recommend doing a patch test with a small amount first

I was initially concerned about pain or side effects due to my sensitive, redness-prone, and blemish-prone skin. While the first day was quite uncomfortable, the discomfort gradually reduced to a slight gritty sensation with continued use. After a week of application, I noticed a significant reduction in dead skin cells, resulting in smoother skin texture. My sebum production decreased, giving my face a softer, more supple feel. While I didn't see noticeable improvements in pores or firmness, I'm satisfied with the enhanced skin texture.
ConsAs someone with naturally super sensitive skin, I'm susceptible to various irritants (friction, UV rays, temperature changes, oils), and my poor immune system due to a chronic condition doesn't help. Complex products with multiple active ingredients often don't agree with my skin. When I first applied this product, the discomfort was so intense it kept me awake at night. After skipping a day and reapplying, the pain gradually subsided, though a slight tingling sensation persists. I don't use toner, and applying this directly on bare skin felt a bit rough. So, I started using a shake-type first essence (like Charmzone) as a base, applying this product while my skin was still slightly damp. This method reduces product usage and makes application less painful, almost like a dilution effect. After applying and gently patting it in, I press my palms against my face to aid absorption before applying moisturizer. The recommended toning cream wasn't available, so I tried a hydrating cream, but it left my skin feeling dry with a burning sensation. A richer black caviar cream helps with the dryness and heat, but it's a bit heavy for my combination dehydrated skin, occasionally causing whiteheads even with minimal use. For my skin type, it seems this product might not be effective in reducing blemishes and pores.
TipIt's better to gently press the product into your skin with your palms rather than rubbing or patting excessively. When used with very lightweight products, it seems to potentially cause dryness. However, this could be due to my naturally sensitive, easily flushed combination dehydrated skin type.

However, by gently pressing it into my skin and repeating the absorption process several times, the tingling sensation disappeared. It's said to deliver its benefits deep into the skin, helping to restore the balance of compromised skin. It should only be used in the evening. While it doesn't feel particularly rich or hydrating enough for the current season, it seems to be more of a lightweight application. I think it would be great to layer a moisturizing ampoule or cream on top.
ConsThis was my first time using a product like this, and I was really surprised at first. When I applied it to my face, it stung so much that I thought there might be something wrong with the cosmetic. Those with sensitive or super sensitive skin should carefully read the instructions and test it gradually, applying small amounts at a time.
TipAfter toner, you should apply the ampoule by gently pressing it into your skin with your hands to help it absorb. You can't just apply it and pat it in, as it stings too much to tap. The method seems to be lightly pressing it in with your palms while helping it absorb.
