I consider "UV protection" to be the most important factor when it comes to sunscreen. As I've entered my 30s, I've become more conscious of the need for strong!! anti-aging protection, so I prefer sunscreens that provide physical UV blocking, especially those containing "zinc oxide".
The downside of zinc oxide is the poor spreadability and white cast... I thought these were unavoidable issues.
However, I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly the Hwahae sunscreen applies!!! It almost doesn't feel like a physical sunscreen. Yet, it's not overly moisturizing and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy or dry with flaky patches like other zinc oxide physical sunscreens.
The tone-up effect seems to utilize the white cast of the zinc oxide, but it looks natural after about 5 minutes. The smooth application also prevents any unevenness or patchiness.
The gentle formula makes me confident in continuing to use this sunscreen going forward.
I'd highly recommend this to those with delicate, fair skin who prioritize robust UV protection.

Using a generous amount of product requires extended application and results in an overly pale appearance. Over time, it can feel tight and lack sufficient moisture, which may be unsatisfactory for dry skin.

I used it for about 2 weeks. Compared to chemical sunscreens, it applies smoothly and a little goes a long way in providing a tone-up effect. As a vegan sunscreen, it has a gentle feel. I recommend it for both normal and dry skin types.

Among the mineral sunscreens I've tried, this is the gentlest one. When using mineral sunscreens, I always felt a slight stinging sensation in my eyes and irritation on my skin, but this one doesn't have that!! The scent is truly unscented. The characteristic metallic smell is also less pronounced.
