I bought this foundation-free product out of curiosity after seeing it trending on Instagram. They even included a free puff applicator! I apply a thin layer with a spatula, then use a slightly damp puff with some mist to help it absorb. It gives me a natural brightening effect and feels lighter than my usual cushion foundation. The product size is smaller than I expected, but since I only use about a fingernail-sized amount each time, it should last quite a while. It's convenient for going out since I don't need to apply sunscreen separately - this one product does it all! Although it's a cover cream, it's inevitably less effective at concealing compared to cushions or traditional foundations. Blemishes like acne scars are still somewhat visible. Personally, I find that applying a thin layer with a spatula prevents pilling and helps it blend seamlessly. For areas needing more coverage, I gently pat the product to build it up, then add another thin layer or two where needed. If you have dry skin, it might look patchy, so I always use a puff dampened with facial mist and gently pat it in. This technique really helps with the absorption and gives a smoother finish. - yu**********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 16, 2025
For shades 22-23, it beautifully evens out the skin tone! The staying power was impressive, and it absorbs well into the skin. As for coverage... it fell a bit short of expectations. The complexion enhancement wasn't as stunning as I had hoped. Ironically, a light layer of skincare seemed to work better. This brightening moisturizer works hard to enhance your complexion, but it may not provide the level of coverage some users desire. It's best suited for those looking for a subtle, natural-looking glow rather than full coverage. - 49********Dry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 16, 2025
Unlike other brightening moisturizers with SPF, this one achieves a natural finish with just a small amount while providing decent coverage! For a brightening sunscreen to have good coverage, it usually becomes thicker and harder to spread. But for my dry skin, this had the perfect balance of spreadability and coverage! I'd like to use this current size as a travel version and wish they'd release a larger size! Applying it thinly and broadly with a spatula, then gently patting with a puff seems to make it less drying! Afterwards, I found it works well to dab concealer on areas that need more coverage. While this is marketed as a sunscreen with coverage, if you're expecting foundation or cushion-level coverage, I'd recommend something else! - sm*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 15, 2025
It's moisturizing and provides better coverage than expected. Plus, it doesn't come off easily. For someone with shade 19 skin, it's quite dark to use on its own. There's also a slight emphasis on dead skin cells. It looks beautiful when mixed with a brightening moisturizer sunscreen. - be*******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJun 14, 2025
First off, it leaves my skin feeling fresh and provides great coverage. The consistency is just right - not too thin or thick. I usually have a slightly yellow complexion and use shade 23, but this evens my skin tone so beautifully that I hardly need to use powder anymore. There's some stinging and irritation around the eyes. My teenage child was using this, but due to potentially harmful ingredients, I've switched to using it myself and found an alternative product without those ingredients for my child. Remember to shake well before use. After applying, I finish by spraying some mist on a beauty blender and gently patting it over my skin. - tn********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRednessJun 14, 2025
Since it's foundation-free, it can cover blemishes to some extent and it's convenient as you only need to apply this one product. After using it for the first time, I cleansed my face thoroughly and went to bed. The next morning, I woke up with my entire face swollen as if I had an allergic reaction. My eyes were especially puffy. The following day, pus-filled blemishes appeared mainly on my forehead and cheeks. This was the first time I've had such a severe allergic reaction to a cosmetic product, so I had to visit the doctor. It seems this product just doesn't suit me. For those with super sensitive skin, I recommend carefully checking the ingredients before purchasing. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I was hoping this product would help even my skin tone and provide hydration. Unfortunately, it caused significant irritation and redness. The burning sensation and tingling were quite intense. If you have sensitive skin or are prone to allergic reactions, it's best to patch test this product first or consider alternatives that are gentler on the skin. - kn********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsDead Skin CellsJun 13, 2025
It adheres perfectly to the skin, effectively covers pores, and leaves the skin feeling hydrated. It seems to cause blemishes, and there's a significant increase in oil production, making it unsuitable for long-wearing makeup. - mi*****Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedJun 9, 2025
I've been using this for about 3 months now, and I love how it doesn't leave my skin feeling heavy or congested. The shade might be a bit dark, so if you have fair skin, you'll need to mix it with a brightening moisturizer or use one underneath for the best results. - mi************Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 7, 2025
It felt like applying something between a foundation and a BB cream. From my experience, I'd recommend using your hands to apply it rather than a puff. It seemed to cling a bit to dead skin cells, so if you have dry skin, make sure to do a thorough skincare routine beforehand. - p8********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 4, 2025
•Skin type: Combination dehydrated/Combination (T-zone, forehead) •Shade: 21 •Concerns: Freckles, uneven skin tone -Both photos are of my right cheek taken with a regular camera (mirror image) In the first photo (before use), you can see my freckles and uneven skin tone quite clearly. Looking at the second photo (after use), it's evident that the freckles are significantly covered, and my complexion looks much more even! -The best part was how well it covered imperfections while still feeling incredibly lightweight and adhering perfectly to my skin. I used a spatula to apply it, but I also tried applying it with my fingers later, and there wasn't much difference. -Another great point is that even though my face tends to get oily as time passes, this foundation works well even without extensive skincare prep. Usually, my skin is so dry that makeup flakes off if I don't wear sunscreen, but this went on smoothly even without a thorough base. -As someone with shade 21 skin, which is neither too light nor too dark, the color matched my skin tone perfectly and looked very natural. If you're not skilled at applying foundation, you might find it a bit challenging to use. Even though it goes on well, you still need to apply it thinly and evenly for the best results. I recommend learning how to use a spatula for application - it could really improve your results!
