It applies very smoothly, just like a serum. With a thinner consistency than a moisturizer, it's a very watery formula somewhere between a serum and a moisturizer. Immediately after application, it feels very hydrating and refreshing on the skin. But unlike a typical hydrating serum, it also leaves a slightly oily feel over time. For me, in the slightly chilly early spring weather, the moisturizing yet non-drying effect was satisfying.
