The stick format allows for application without getting your hands messy, though you might need to use your fingers to blend it in some areas. Still, it's less messy than regular sunscreens. After application, it leaves a matte finish, which is great even for my super oily skin. Most other sun sticks tend to be quite greasy, but not this one. I also love that it doesn't leave a white cast. Being a waterproof sun stick, it's bound to be a summer essential for water activities. It goes on clear and has good adherence and staying power. It seems more suitable for the body than the face, to be honest. I have sensitive combination dehydrated skin that tends to be dry. I used Koh Samui's body and face sunscreen for water activities. Unfortunately, when I wore white clothes during water activities, the UV rays penetrated and my skin got quite tanned. I bought this because Je**x claimed to have UV protection, but it didn't work as expected. On the bright side, I didn't experience any blemishes, redness, or tingling sensation. The sunscreen absorbs well, gliding on smoothly without feeling sticky, which my husband also appreciated. We both applied it generously on our bodies and faces. It even held up well against beard friction. We were surprised to use it all up in just 4 days! This just goes to show how well it absorbs and how pleasant the non-sticky texture is. *My skin type is yellow-toned and tends to tan rather than redden when exposed to sun. ***I used this product overseas, not in Korea*** - Despite claims of being waterproof, the back of my hands, which were exposed to sunlight, got very dark even after applying the sunscreen. - My face fared better, probably because I reapplied more frequently and it had less contact with water. This sunscreen stick is so convenient to apply and leaves your skin feeling fresh and non-sticky. Even when reapplying, there's no pilling or clumping! Being a stick type, it doesn't get on your hands and is super portable. You can easily pop it in your bag and reapply whenever needed. It's waterproof, so it holds up well even on sweaty days with minimal breakdown. When first opened, there's a slight typical cosmetic scent. Personally, it didn't bother me much, but those sensitive to fragrances might find it a bit noticeable. While it's fine for oily skin, those with dry skin might find it a bit too matte. It might be better to apply skincare or a hydrating product first for dry skin types. Applying a thin layer after your skincare routine but before foundation helps prevent base makeup from breaking down and provides solid sun protection. It's particularly effective to reapply on areas that get more sun exposure, like the bridge of your nose or cheekbones. Before, I used to cake on powder right after applying the recommended amount of sunscreen, but with this, there's no need for that! The powerful sun protection and convenient stick format in a portable size are great features. What I loved most was the non-greasy, powder-like finish. There was no white cast, and it seems to contain powder that controls oil well. It also had a slight blurring effect, as if the skin was softly filtered. Over time, it didn't become very oily, and I was really satisfied with the light, powder-like feel without any stickiness. Being waterproof, it's strong against humidity and has good staying power, so I think it'll be especially useful in summer. Personally, I prefer unscented sunscreens, so the fragrance might be a matter of individual preference.
