The stick format allows for application without getting your hands messy, though you might need to use your fingers to blend it in some areas. Still, it's less messy than regular sunscreens. After application, it leaves a matte finish, which is great even for my super oily skin. Most other sun sticks tend to be quite greasy, but not this one. I also love that it doesn't leave a white cast. Being a waterproof sun stick, it's bound to be a summer essential for water activities. It goes on clear and has good adherence and staying power. It seems more suitable for the body than the face, to be honest. If you use it on your face, you'll definitely need to follow up with base makeup. - tw*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 7, 2025
I have sensitive combination dehydrated skin that tends to be dry. I used Koh Samui's body and face sunscreen for water activities. Unfortunately, when I wore white clothes during water activities, the UV rays penetrated and my skin got quite tanned. I bought this because Je**x claimed to have UV protection, but it didn't work as expected. On the bright side, I didn't experience any blemishes, redness, or tingling sensation. The sunscreen absorbs well, gliding on smoothly without feeling sticky, which my husband also appreciated. We both applied it generously on our bodies and faces. It even held up well against beard friction. We were surprised to use it all up in just 4 days! This just goes to show how well it absorbs and how pleasant the non-sticky texture is. *My skin type is yellow-toned and tends to tan rather than redden when exposed to sun. ***I used this product overseas, not in Korea*** - Despite claims of being waterproof, the back of my hands, which were exposed to sunlight, got very dark even after applying the sunscreen. - My face fared better, probably because I reapplied more frequently and it had less contact with water. However, I wouldn't recommend using this in foreign waters. - il******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 17, 2025
This sunscreen stick is so convenient to apply and leaves your skin feeling fresh and non-sticky. Even when reapplying, there's no pilling or clumping! The slim design makes it perfect for carrying around. So far, I've been using it without any particular complaints. - ky************Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 12, 2025
First off, I absolutely loved the advantages of this sunstick! Its portability and non-sticky, powdery finish make it perfect for summer use. I especially appreciate that it's waterproof, so I don't have to worry about it washing off when I sweat. There is a scent, but it's not overpowering, which was fine even for someone like me who's quite sensitive to fragrances. I mainly used it on my body rather than my face, and found it less of a hassle to reapply compared to other products. The downside isn't really specific to this product, but rather a limitation of sunsticks in general. They tend to provide less UV protection compared to cream formulations. Because of this, I'd be hesitant to use it on days with intense sun exposure or in places with strong UV rays. - se*****Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 10, 2025
Sunscreen stick for dry skin It's not sticky, but has a rich feel that's perfect for those with dry skin! The scent is refreshingly pleasant It doesn't apply with good adherence, so you need to use some pressure when applying it. Also, after application, it leaves quite an oily finish, which might be challenging to use in summer - lh*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 9, 2025
+Leaving a quick review as I haven't used it for long+ > Powdery finish For someone with combination skin leaning towards oily like me, this is absolutely fantastic! I mainly buy stick-type products to apply on my neck and décolletage area. It doesn't transfer onto clothes at all and absorbs quickly, leaving no trace! > Light and compact size It's so light and small, making it perfect to carry around. I plan to always have it with me for summer festivals and outings! > Those with dry skin might find it quite drying > The scent is a bit strong... It might be hit or miss for some. For me, it's a tolerable fragrance? - tk*********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 8, 2025
First off, it applies incredibly smoothly. It glides on your face effortlessly, with almost no friction. It leaves a matte finish, making it especially great for summer use. Being a stick type, it doesn't get on your hands and is super portable. You can easily pop it in your bag and reapply whenever needed. It's waterproof, so it holds up well even on sweaty days with minimal breakdown. When first opened, there's a slight typical cosmetic scent. Personally, it didn't bother me much, but those sensitive to fragrances might find it a bit noticeable. While it's fine for oily skin, those with dry skin might find it a bit too matte. It might be better to apply skincare or a hydrating product first for dry skin types. Applying a thin layer after your skincare routine but before foundation helps prevent base makeup from breaking down and provides solid sun protection. It's particularly effective to reapply on areas that get more sun exposure, like the bridge of your nose or cheekbones. I found that reapplying it lightly on my T-zone in the afternoon when oil starts to surface helps control shine and works wonders! - je**********Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 7, 2025
I was really impressed that even after sweating buckets while hiking, it didn't melt off but stayed put on my skin, keeping it matte. It's absolutely fantastic that I could reapply during the hike without it feeling uncomfortable or thick. What's even better is that it's not just a matte formula, but it actually absorbs the existing oil on your face. Before, I used to cake on powder right after applying the recommended amount of sunscreen, but with this, there's no need for that! It's a bit harder to apply than oily sunsticks, but you can gently melt it with your facial heat. Anyway, I'd definitely recommend those with oily skin to give this a try! - dl**********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 31, 2025
✓ Perfect for oily skin - If you've been overwhelmed by sunscreens that make your skin feel greasy, you can use this one with confidence. ✓ Matte finish - It sets like a base makeup, leaving skin feeling comfortable without any deep dryness. ✓ Provides deep hydration - While providing ample moisture during your skincare routine, it's not heavy, so you can use it without worry. ✓ Convenient stick format - If you dislike getting product on your hands, this is the answer! It's so easy to apply, even around the neck area. Definitely considering repurchasing. If you're cautious about choosing sunscreens due to oily skin, you'll likely be very satisfied with this one! - If you prefer a dewy skin look, this might not give you the effect you're expecting. - It might be slightly less ideal for those with dry skin. - je*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMar 31, 2025
The powerful sun protection and convenient stick format in a portable size are great features. What I loved most was the non-greasy, powder-like finish. It glides on smoothly and thinly when applied to the skin. Even with reapplication, it stays lightweight and applies neatly. There was no white cast, and it seems to contain powder that controls oil well. It also had a slight blurring effect, as if the skin was softly filtered. Over time, it didn't become very oily, and I was really satisfied with the light, powder-like feel without any stickiness. Being waterproof, it's strong against humidity and has good staying power, so I think it'll be especially useful in summer. Personally, I prefer unscented sunscreens, so the fragrance might be a matter of individual preference.
