I've been using this for about two weeks now! My first encounter with d'Alba was their White Truffle Mist(?), which I absolutely loved and sparked my interest in the brand. This toner feels like the toner version of that mist. 

The consistency is slightly more essence-like than a pure water toner. I'd say it's about 90% water toner and 10% essence feel. 

As someone with very dry skin, water toners usually leave my skin feeling tight, but with this product, even when used alone, I don't experience any tightness even after some time. It primarily provides hydration, but I also felt a slight hint of oil. However, it's definitely not oily, so no need to worry. It seemed to balance the oil and moisture in my skin nicely.

I prefer to apply toner directly to my face for absorption, but the container was inconvenient for this method. Unless you pour it into your hand, a lot of the product tends to drip down the sides of the bottle.

Skin Type
I have type 23, dry, acne-prone skin. Dryness and diet (excessive sugar intake) are the main causes of my acne. Currently, my skin concerns are red and brown acne marks (hyperpigmentation). When I neglect skincare, I tend to develop hard, difficult-to-extract acne.

Purchase Motivation and Usage Period
I've used D'Alba cream before and was satisfied, so I decided to try their toner through The Hwahae Testers. I used it once daily in the evening for about 10 days consistently.

Review After Use

The texture isn't completely watery, but has a slight viscosity. It applies smoothly and feels moisturizing without being sticky. For my extremely dry skin, it felt somewhat light, but I compensated with additional skincare (cream).

As with the D'Alba cream I used before, I noticed an overall brightening of my complexion with this toner. 
My main concern is acne-related hyperpigmentation rather than freckles or blemishes. While the acne marks didn't disappear completely, they seemed to fade a bit as my overall complexion brightened. Considering the short usage period, I think the effectiveness is impressive!

The fragrance seems to be polarizing, but I personally liked it. The luxurious scent made me feel like I was getting a professional treatment.

Additionally, I didn't experience any blemishes during the usage period, and it felt gentle on my skin.

When your skin feels particularly dry, you could soak cotton pads generously with the toner and use them as a quick mask.

My skin is closer to dry in winter and combination dehydrated otherwise. This toner absorbs quickly while leaving a rich finish. Interestingly, when I first tested it, changing only the toner, I got a few blemishes that disappeared after a few days. It might be too heavy for oily skin types in summer. Also, I'm not sure if it's just mine, but the cap leaked every time I used it, requiring constant cleaning. If they improve the cap, I'd consider repurchasing for seasonal changes or winter use.

Usage period: 10 days immediately after receiving the product
Texture: While it's a water-like toner, when applied it feels like an ampoule toner with both hydration and a rich feel.
Application: The oil and moisture balance makes it glide on very smoothly, leaving a moisturized finish.
Absorption: True to its 'serum toner' claim, it helped with deep dryness and kept the skin surface very hydrated.
Scent: If you're a fan of the Dalba mist, this has the same fragrance. It's not overpowering, but might be hit or miss for some.

Overall, I was satisfied. I felt a slight tingling sensation once or twice in the beginning, but with daily use, I noticed my skin becoming smoother, which I really liked.

As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I was overall quite satisfied with this product. It's sufficient as a base skincare step, and I loved how it made my skin feel smoother.

The water-like texture made it easy to apply. After cleansing, I just pat it on quickly, which has sped up my morning routine.

2. Absorption & No Stickiness
I usually apply it right after washing my face, and I was surprised at how quickly it absorbs without any stickiness. As someone with oily skin, especially during humid, rainy days, I hate when my hair sticks to my face due to skincare products, but this wasn't an issue at all.

3. Skin Improvement
Even though it's a serum toner, I didn't have high expectations, but I've noticed my skin improving lately. Despite my oily skin, I was amazed at how smooth my skin felt after cleansing. Since I only changed my toner in my routine, I'm planning to repurchase this when I run out.

4. Other Satisfying Points
At first, I was confused about how to dispense the product, but I love how the nozzle pops up when you press the top. It's not a container that leaks easily, which is great. It's convenient to use as much as I want by simply pressing the bottle.

This seems like a great base product for times when the weather fluctuates between dry and humid, like nowadays.

Here's a tip: if you chill it slightly and use it as a toner pack, it gives your skin an amazing glow and hydration boost! Follow up with a thick layer of cream before bed, and you'll wake up to beautiful skin! I highly recommend trying this method if you have this product.

If I had to nitpick, I'd say the scent is a bit strong. I usually use fragrance-free or very lightly scented products, so this was noticeable. However, it's not an unpleasant smell, so it didn't bother me too much while using it. Plus, since it's a toner-type product, the scent doesn't linger for very long.

I absolutely love how this product absorbs into my skin, making it feel so plump and supple! The application experience is fantastic. It creates a nice base that seems to hold whatever you apply on top really well. For those with oily skin, I think you could just apply a moisturizing sunscreen over this and be ready for makeup - the texture and hydration level are that good. It made my skincare routine so much easier! Despite having sensitive skin, I experienced no irritation at all, and it didn't cause any blemishes to appear. My husband, who has dry skin and atopic dermatitis, also tried it. He said it didn't sting or irritate his skin at all. In fact, it absorbed so well that he ended up using it more often than I did!
