Update: Initially, I gave this product 5 stars as its benefits seemed more prominent at first. However, I've revised my review as the drawbacks have become more noticeable over time. The main advantage is its instant cooling effect, which temporarily alleviates facial heat and redness. As someone prone to facial flushing, especially on my cheeks, I noticed the redness would briefly disappear after applying this product. Also, being a simple mist, it didn't cause any blemishes. 1. Causes stinging and itching Oddly, while my cheeks were fine, the neck, jawline, and ear areas stung considerably when sprayed. Though there was no visible redness initially, the discomfort led to scratching, which then caused redness. The stinging was so bothersome that I couldn't resist scratching. 2. Only temporarily matte, oil returns faster As someone with oily skin, I initially loved how it left my face matte and oil-free. However, after a short while, it felt like a film formed on my skin and oil started to resurface. It seemed to make my skin produce excess oil even faster, as if overcompensating for extreme dryness. 3. Extremely salty when it gets on lips Unlike Avene products, this mist tastes intensely salty, like seawater. I suspect this saltiness might be the reason for the stinging sensation on the skin. The cooling effect is superior to Avene's, and I would have continued using it if not for the stinging sensation. Additionally, as it seems to accelerate oil production, I won't be repurchasing. However, if you don't experience any stinging when testing it in-store, it might be worth trying. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMar 21, 2023
The spray mechanism is quite effective. It disperses the water evenly and mists nicely. It's marketed as a hydrating and soothing mist, but it doesn't soothe at all. When I use this alone, my face stings and turns red. I thought it was just me, but my family members also complained of a tingling sensation, so it's now sitting unused. - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 8, 2022
The spray power is excellent, and it provides a nice temporary cooling effect There were times when it felt a bit tingly, and the hydration wasn't particularly impressive - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 30, 2021
As an 18-year-old with super sensitive skin that gets extremely dry after cleansing, I've found a gem! I bought two 300ml bottles during a buy-one-get-one-free sale at Olive Young. It's perfect for a light spritz. Whenever my skin feels parched, I just give it a quick spray. Being a mist, it instantly provides that much-needed hydration. For me, there was a very slight tingling sensation, but it was so minimal I barely noticed it. Apart from that, everything else about this product seems great! Just a heads up - you're not supposed to shake this product before use! It could potentially burst if you do. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 3, 2021
It's great to spritz on when your face feels hot or when you're too lazy after cleansing Maybe because of the hot spring water ingredient, it can feel a bit salty. When my skin is dry, sometimes it stings if I only use the mist - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 11, 2021
To be honest, I wasn't thrilled with it, but if I had to say something positive, the value for money was decent. It was supposed to be gentle, but for some reason it didn't agree with my skin. After applying, it would sting a bit, and there was no hydration at all - my skin felt as dry as the Sahara desert. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 15, 2020
It's great to spray this when your skin feels super dry after washing. I especially love that it's thermal spring water, which seems to instantly replenish hydration. I'm not sure if it's because my skin is dry, but it can feel a bit tingly at times. Also, if you accidentally spray too much and it gets in your mouth, it's a bit salty! Spray it immediately after showering! But be careful not to overdo it! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 18, 2019
Nothing particularly special. It's just an average mist, nothing more. I decided to try this after using Avène mist. When I sprayed it on after cleansing, my cheeks suddenly started stinging. Curious, I tasted a bit near my lips with my tongue and was shocked by how salty it was. I thought I hadn't rinsed my face properly, but it turns out the mist itself is salty. That's probably why my face felt irritated. Also, the smell when spraying is really unpleasant. It's an indescribable odor. I think I'll just go back to using Avène. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 20, 2019
I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and I'm using this as a toner replacement. I found that I don't need a separate toner anymore. In fact, when my skin is sensitive, even toners marketed as gentle can cause stinging and irritation. So, I just spray this instead of toner. It provides great hydration, prevents blemishes, and works well for me. They often have buy-one-get-one-free promotions, so you can purchase it without breaking the bank. As the saying goes, too much of a good thing can be bad. There's no need to spray it excessively or multiple times. Just once or twice after cleansing is sufficient. When my skin was particularly sensitive, I found that applying multiple layers made it feel tingly and even somewhat dry. It's really great when you spray it once after washing your face, let it absorb, and then apply your skincare routine when your skin feels adequately moisturized. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 28, 2018
Great value for money, especially when bought in a 2-for-1 deal. The generous amount is a plus. It's a safe choice that's excellent for cooling down and soothing the skin. Possibly due to the minerals, it might cause a tingling sensation if sprayed directly on skin with active blemishes.
