Update: Initially, I gave this product 5 stars as its benefits seemed more prominent at first. However, I've revised my review as the drawbacks have become more noticeable over time. The main advantage is its instant cooling effect, which temporarily alleviates facial heat and redness. As someone prone to facial flushing, especially on my cheeks, I noticed the redness would briefly disappear after applying this product. Also, being a simple mist, it didn't cause any blemishes. 1. Causes stinging and itching Oddly, while my cheeks were fine, the neck, jawline, and ear areas stung considerably when sprayed. Though there was no visible redness initially, the discomfort led to scratching, which then caused redness. The stinging was so bothersome that I couldn't resist scratching. 2. Only temporarily matte, oil returns faster As someone with oily skin, I initially loved how it left my face matte and oil-free. However, after a short while, it felt like a film formed on my skin and oil started to resurface. It seemed to make my skin produce excess oil even faster, as if overcompensating for extreme dryness. 3. Extremely salty when it gets on lips Unlike Avene products, this mist tastes intensely salty, like seawater. I suspect this saltiness might be the reason for the stinging sensation on the skin. The cooling effect is superior to Avene's, and I would have continued using it if not for the stinging sensation. Additionally, as it seems to accelerate oil production, I won't be repurchasing. However, if you don't experience any stinging when testing it in-store, it might be worth trying. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 30, 2023
It's wonderfully moisturizing. When applied in summer, it leaves a slightly rich feeling on the skin. It really aggravates skin blemishes. So itchy... so very itchy... unbearably itchy! - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 23, 2021
The spray power is out of this world! It's a fine mist that covers a wide area, and you can feel the incredible hydration with every spritz. The taste is salty... it's a bit unpleasant. Compared to Avène, it evaporates like plain water. My skin feels slightly itchy, with bumps like mosquito bites, so I'm only using it on my hands now. When your face is thirsty, spraying this is incredibly refreshing. But the taste... it's like seawater. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 1, 2021
It's not expensive when on sale, but pricey at regular price (keep an eye out for those sales!) I prefer mists with good spray power, so this product works for me, but those who like a gentler mist might not be fans. It feels incredibly hydrating when sprayed (though that hydration doesn't last too long) While it feels moisturizing at first, that sensation disappears quickly, leaving skin feeling even drier... I experienced some itching a while after spraying... As someone who's used Avène mists before, I'd say it's better to spend a bit more and go for Avène. Won't be repurchasing... It's best to spray this right after showering! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 5, 2021
The spray power and cooling sensation were not bad. My skin completely flared up, and I had to visit a dermatologist. At first, I thought it might have been due to another product I used for a day, but after spraying this, the itching returned. I was diagnosed with contact dermatitis and prescribed medication. Those with sensitive skin should be cautious. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 16, 2019
It's refreshing and has great spray power. The price is affordable. I always pick this up at Olive Young. Sigh... After using this, my skin broke out in tiny inflammatory bumps and hives. I didn't realize this was the cause and kept using it, which made things much worse. I mistakenly changed all my other skincare products instead. It's a type of blemish I've never experienced before, and it's so itchy too. If you feel it doesn't suit you, stop using it immediately. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJan 6, 2018
The volume is incredible... and the spray power is as good as mosquito repellent! I have dry and sensitive skin. When I spray this on without drying my face with a towel after cleansing, I feel a stinging and itching sensation. Also, after applying makeup, I notice some dryness. When I spray it on, my face feels even drier once it dries. Those with dry skin should keep this in mind. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 31, 2017
It becomes moisturized when applied and the foundation makeup absorbs well haha I keep feeling a slight itchy sensation ㅠㅠ But this feeling is something I've also felt when using Evian?other mists, so I'm not sure if this is just how mists normally feel... - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 16, 2017
It is quite moisturizing... ? The spraying power is pleasing. I don't know why, but even though there are no bad ingredients, when I just spray this, my skin starts to itch and turn red ㅠㅠ I kept telling myself 'No, that can't be it' and tried it a few times, but the itchiness was definitely caused by this ㅜㅜ - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2017
I bought this because I have sensitive skin and wanted to use it instead of a regular skin toner. I just bought it without worry since I've tried other products before. Avène seems to be just like water, but this product had a salty taste, like seawater. So I'm not sure if that's why, or if it's because my skin is so sensitive, but it felt a bit itchy. I'll have to try it again, but I'm worried it might do the same thing.
