Update: Initially, I gave this product 5 stars as its benefits seemed more prominent at first. However, I've revised my review as the drawbacks have become more noticeable over time. The main advantage is its instant cooling effect, which temporarily alleviates facial heat and redness. As someone prone to facial flushing, especially on my cheeks, I noticed the redness would briefly disappear after applying this product. Also, being a simple mist, it didn't cause any blemishes. 1. Causes stinging and itching Oddly, while my cheeks were fine, the neck, jawline, and ear areas stung considerably when sprayed. Though there was no visible redness initially, the discomfort led to scratching, which then caused redness. The stinging was so bothersome that I couldn't resist scratching. 2. Only temporarily matte, oil returns faster As someone with oily skin, I initially loved how it left my face matte and oil-free. However, after a short while, it felt like a film formed on my skin and oil started to resurface. It seemed to make my skin produce excess oil even faster, as if overcompensating for extreme dryness. 3. Extremely salty when it gets on lips Unlike Avene products, this mist tastes intensely salty, like seawater. I suspect this saltiness might be the reason for the stinging sensation on the skin. The cooling effect is superior to Avene's, and I would have continued using it if not for the stinging sensation. Additionally, as it seems to accelerate oil production, I won't be repurchasing. However, if you don't experience any stinging when testing it in-store, it might be worth trying. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMar 21, 2023
The spray mechanism is quite effective. It disperses the water evenly and mists nicely. It's marketed as a hydrating and soothing mist, but it doesn't soothe at all. When I use this alone, my face stings and turns red. I thought it was just me, but my family members also complained of a tingling sensation, so it's now sitting unused. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 19, 2022
I chose this product because of its great ingredients and renowned reputation. Being a hydrating type, it's not sticky and cleanly replenishes moisture. I apply the emulsion, and when my skin feels dry after some time, I spray this before applying makeup. I bought this as a 1+1 deal, but both bottles had spray issues. The first 1-2 sprays were fine, but after that, the spray would split vertically, only coming out in specific areas. It was frustrating to use... When I tried to spray it on my face, it would end up on my hair and neck. I thought I might have made a mistake with the first bottle, but when both were like this, it's clearly a problem... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 18, 2021
I bought this on a 1+1 deal at Olive Young after finishing my Avène product, as it's more affordable. The ingredients are basically just thermal spring water, so I thought it'd be gentle to use. The spray power was decent too. It had a slightly salty taste, but I figured that's just how thermal water is, haha! It's just a thermal water mist, but it didn't agree with my skin. Instead of small bumps, it was more like hives? Or mosquito bites? It spread all over my face in an instant. I even tried spraying it on my neck and chest, thinking it couldn't be that bad, but it spread there too. I quickly washed it off with water and the reaction slowly subsided. I'm not sure if it's just this mist that doesn't suit me or if my skin was already inflamed due to the changing seasons. Either way, I don't dare use the rest. I guess brands like Uriage and Avène just don't work for my super sensitive skin. I'm planning to try the remaining product on my legs. If that doesn't work out, I'll use it on my feet as a last resort! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 5, 2021
The spray power and cooling sensation were not bad. My skin completely flared up, and I had to visit a dermatologist. At first, I thought it might have been due to another product I used for a day, but after spraying this, the itching returned. I was diagnosed with contact dermatitis and prescribed medication. Those with sensitive skin should be cautious. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 25, 2020
When I spray this after showering, my makeup applies so much better. For my normal skin type, it felt like it balanced the oil and moisture levels perfectly. I think the thermal water doesn't agree with my skin. As soon as I applied it, my skin had a burning sensation and turned red like I was flushed. If you're sensitive to thermal water, it's probably best to avoid this product. When you spray it after showering, it's like your skin feels refreshed and put together, you know? Yeah, that's the feeling I get. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 2, 2019
What I liked was its high hydration level and excellent spray power. I have acne-prone and oily skin, and after using this, I noticed acne appearing on my nose exactly where I sprayed it... I'd recommend not using it. I feel like I shouldn't have bought it. I should've gotten the smaller size... Use it when your body is dry, like a body mist... I guess? - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 16, 2019
It's refreshing and has great spray power. The price is affordable. I always pick this up at Olive Young. Sigh... After using this, my skin broke out in tiny inflammatory bumps and hives. I didn't realize this was the cause and kept using it, which made things much worse. I mistakenly changed all my other skincare products instead. It's a type of blemish I've never experienced before, and it's so itchy too. If you feel it doesn't suit you, stop using it immediately. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 18, 2019
Nothing particularly special. It's just an average mist, nothing more. I decided to try this after using Avène mist. When I sprayed it on after cleansing, my cheeks suddenly started stinging. Curious, I tasted a bit near my lips with my tongue and was shocked by how salty it was. I thought I hadn't rinsed my face properly, but it turns out the mist itself is salty. That's probably why my face felt irritated. Also, the smell when spraying is really unpleasant. It's an indescribable odor. I think I'll just go back to using Avène. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinSep 23, 2018
I was so shocked after using this that I can't find any positives. I'm not sure which ingredient is the problem, but I was really taken aback after spraying it on my face, haha ;; I bought this because the ingredients looked good and the reviews were positive. But within about 5 minutes of spraying it, my face swelled up like I'd been bitten by mosquitoes wherever the mist touched. I've used many other products, but this is a first. I thought about returning it for a refund, but I just threw it away. I can't say it's the thermal water that doesn't agree with me because I've never had this reaction with other products. I was truly shocked when I saw my face. I definitely don't recommend this for those with super sensitive skin.
