It was my go-to for brightening. Despite the cautionary ingredients, it worked well for me without causing any blemishes! I mainly applied it under my eyes for dark circles, and I felt it really evened out my complexion. The fact that it's been around for over 10 years without being discontinued shows that there must be quite a few people like me who've made it a staple in their routine. I've deducted one star because of the cautionary ingredients, but I'd still repurchase it! The price is absolutely wicked! And it's disappointing that it contains ingredients to be cautious about. I was using it just fine, but now knowing about these ingredients makes me feel uneasy. Wish I hadn't looked! For dark circles or discoloration around the mouth, if you apply it consistently, it seems to even out the skin tone nicely! I've been using this since 2002. After a year of use, it's like my skin cells are reflected in the mirror. My complexion becomes incredibly smooth and even. It seems to be effective for brightening. I think it's better than the white version... When considering brightening alone, it's probably the next best thing after Shiseido's Melano Laser. Parabens! I've tried everything recommended for my dark spots, but nothing seemed to work. Then I started using Lancome, and I've been using it for over 3 years now. It might be pricey, but one bottle lasts me about 10 months. Isn't that great? I've recommended it to people around me, and it's helped fade their dark spots too. It even worked on my freckles. I've definitely seen results. Just remember, you need to apply it consistently, morning and night! It absorbs smoothly and leaves my skin feeling hydrated. I love using it! Surprisingly, even my blemishes seemed to disappear by the next day. While I'll need to use it longer to fully assess its brightening effects, I've noticed my dark spots appear slightly faded. I'm definitely considering repurchasing. The quantity is a bit small, and if you squeeze it directly onto your face, it tends to run, causing you to use more than intended. After using it for a week, I was amazed at how quickly it brightened my skin. It was so effective that I wondered if it might be too harsh or if it was just concealing with tint-like ingredients. I started using this because my skin is on the darker side and looked dull. It absorbs lightly without causing any deep dryness, which is nice... I'm not sure about its effectiveness yet. Maybe it's because I've only used one bottle, or perhaps it's due to the hot weather...
