Great hydration. I love that it's fragrance-free. No added chemicals. I used to buy it at duty-free shops, but they don't sell it anymore. No other complaints. - pr*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 7, 2020
For 10 years, I've battled adult acne that fluctuated between better and worse. I've been to countless dermatologists and tried every skincare product imaginable, but this is by far the best. It moisturizes deep down without any stickiness, leaving my skin fresh and supple. And of course, it makes my blemishes disappear! The price is the only downside. If it weren't for the cost, I'd use this forever because my blemishes only clear up when I'm using this product. - su********Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 7, 2019
As someone who struggled with adult acne until my early 30s, I couldn't use nourishing creams, so I tried pretty much every serum and ampoule that was supposed to be good. I bought this product as a set with the Hypotency Serum, a vitamin C serum, because they're said to work even better together. If price isn't an issue, this is an excellent product for those with combination dehydrated skin who suffer from eczema or blemishes, especially when used consistently. It's a serum containing hyaluronic acid derivatives, which are great for hydration. This product is solely focused on providing moisture. The formula is clear and transparent like water, colorless and fragrance-free, without unnecessary additives, making it incredibly gentle. It seems to have minimal preservatives, which is why they recommend refrigerating it. This hydrating ampoule has been on the market for nearly 20 years, making it a pioneer in its field. Products like O HUI and LIRIKOS hydrating ampoules are all inspired by this one. As they say, the original is often the best - it's less sticky than O HUI or LIRIKOS versions. I'm deducting one star because of the price. These days, there are many excellent and affordable domestic alternatives to this product. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinDec 20, 2017
An outstanding product! I always stock up on it in bulk whenever I visit duty-free shops, despite the high price. The price is quite steep. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 18, 2016
My skin was in its best condition when I used this! After trying other products, I came back to repurchase this one! The only downside is the small amount... It runs out so quickly... - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 2, 2016
As someone with oily yet dehydrated skin, I've always felt that regular moisturizers weren't enough. But after using Hydra 5, my dryness has disappeared! I feel so hydrated now! I'm really satisfied. Some people mention it feels sticky, but I didn't experience that at all (maybe it varies person to person?). Also, I didn't have any blemishes pop up. I received this as a gift... but if I were to buy it again, I'd need to really prepare myself. The price is absolutely brutal! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 11, 2016
I noticed more visible effects on oily areas like the T-zone. I used to use this with vitamin C, but I found Hydra to be so good that I repurchased a larger size of just this. When applied to areas with large pores, it gives a satisfying tightening sensation on the skin. The price is quite steep... For me, even a 30ml bottle only lasts about 2 months. Unless you're buying it duty-free, the cost can be pretty shocking. - jj*****Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 1, 2016
February 1, 2016 After trying samples, I've been using this product for about a month now. I love how it's not sticky, feels fresh, and seems to provide long-lasting hydration! ——————————————————— April 8, 2019 I'm adding to my review after 3 years and 2 months. During this time, this product, Hydra 5B Complex, along with the High Potency Serum from the same brand, has become my favorite ampoule, never leaving my skincare fridge or vanity. I've lost count of how many 30ml and 15ml bottles I've alternated through. I've also recommended it to so many people around me, and many of my acquaintances are now using it too. This is a real review from a CellexC enthusiast! Pro 1: Elastic texture The application feel is quite different from typical hyaluronic acid ampoules. It's neither runny nor watery as you might expect. If I had to compare it to something... maybe it's like a water-based glue? While I often feel immediate dryness after using the High Potency Serum, applying this product not only quenches skin thirst quickly but also makes my skin feel instantly elastic. It feels like it creates a thin moisturizing barrier on the skin surface! You can feel the elastic application, but it's not heavy, so when you layer a cream on top, you can maintain that moisturized feeling for a long time. Pro 2: Honest ingredients By not adding unnecessary diverse ingredients, they've minimized potential skin reactions. It contains sodium hyaluronate for hydrating dry skin, purified water, and only two other ingredients, making it truly a functional hyaluronic acid ampoule as the name suggests. This is a flagship item that shows why CellexC is renowned as a functional brand. Thanks to this, even when I briefly stray to other brands, I always come back to CellexC at the first sign of blemishes. Con 1: Limited availability In the past, it was widely available in department stores, duty-free shops, and online, and was often featured on home shopping channels. Recently, that doesn't seem to be the case. It's disappointing that there are now many constraints on where we can purchase it with better deals and prices. Con 2: Small size (February 1, 2016) The volume is small. Of course, it's a product concentrated with high-functional hyaluronic acid, so it's different from general cosmetic brands, but someone used to typical skincare might find it very small at first! -> This is a point I made in the past. As of 2019, many functional ampoules/essences have come out in the market, and small-sized products have become more common. So this product doesn't feel particularly small anymore. Rather, even with the same small volume, CellexC products feel much more worthwhile compared to other brands because of their definite effects. Pro tip: Apply with High Potency Serum Usually, vitamin serums or ampoules from other brands work well when mixed with essences from different brands, but for CellexC, I highly recommend applying it with the High Potency Serum. Perhaps it's obvious, but compared to other brands' set compositions, these two work so well together they might as well be considered one product. The High Potency Serum absorbs into the skin instantly, and you need to create a moisture barrier with Hydra 5B right away. Then, follow up with C-Silk Cream or Cellin E Cream and you're set! (As for the creams, I like both, but I find C-Silk works a bit better for me.) - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 21, 2015
It seemed to have some moisturizing effect, which was nice. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations as a functional skincare product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 1, 2015
It's incredibly hydrating. I saw great results when using it together with a vitamin serum. At first, you might think it's excessively sticky, but with consistent use, you'll realize it's not stickiness but a feeling of deep hydration. You need to pat it in well to ensure proper absorption.
