It doesn't cause any blemishes. The coverage is great and the makeup lasts a long time. It's challenging to find the right shade. Opal is too light, so I mix it with Nude when applying. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 23, 2017
My skin didn't feel overwhelmed, and I didn't experience any blemishes. A small amount provides sufficient coverage! I bought this in Paris, and while the shade 21 is labeled as 25 here, it seemed fine when I tested it on the back of my hand. However, when I applied it all over my face, people asked why I suddenly looked so much darker... I tried using it like a concealer, applying it only to areas I wanted to cover, but it wasn't really worth the effort. - je********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 13, 2017
Excellent coverage... Applies smoothly (use a puff to press it in, not a blender. If you spread it with your fingers, it'll be obvious you're wearing makeup) The amount... The ingredients are questionable. I usually like applying with my fingers, but with this one, it turns into a cakey mess - ji******Combination SkinSensitive SkinNov 16, 2016
The coverage is top-notch. The ingredients are also quite good. Staying power is above average. The skin finish is disappointing. The color doesn't give a particularly radiant look. When applied, it feels a bit thick and heavy. It's uncomfortable. On dry skin days, it accentuates dead skin cells. It tends to settle into pores. For someone like me with few blemishes, it just felt unnecessarily thick. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinAug 11, 2016
※For readability, I'll describe my skin type here: Occasionally prone to blemishes/blemish scars (slightly reddish marks)/large pores/had a tough time in the past due to acne but cleared it with prescription medication (as a side effect(?), my skin changed from oily to normal, not quite dry)/around shade 22 #Coverage Champion - After using this, I tried another foundation once and realized I had forgotten how good the coverage of this one is #Ingredient Ace - Though it contains parabens, there's a counterargument that parabens are the safest preservatives. Most articles on Nave* claiming parabens are harmful are actually promotional pieces for natural cosmetics #Staying Power - Not bad (decent enough) #Messy Breakdown - Especially around the sides of the nose, it breaks down in a really unattractive way #Doesn't Cover Pores #Shade 15 is too light and 25 is too dark Having struggled a lot with acne, I bought this product solely based on its ingredients. If you're looking for a gentle foundation, I recommend this. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 29, 2016
As someone with oily skin, I decided to try this affordable alternative to Double Wear, and I'm quite satisfied. My skin gets extremely oily, requiring blotting paper every hour, but with this foundation, I don't end up with patchy makeup. It has good staying power, covers well, and despite its matte formula, it applies surprisingly smoothly. Regarding texture enhancement, honestly, if your pores are filled with sebum, any product will emphasize them. People with problematic skin can't expect makeup to make them look like those with naturally good skin - it just provides some coverage. I believe skincare is the most important factor. While it doesn't severely emphasize texture, there's definitely a difference between applying it over a primer versus directly on the skin. Personally, I'm focusing on managing my sebum and pores. If you have very oily skin and find Double Wear essential but struggle with its price, give this a try! I purchased a shade that's not available in our country, but the bottle is so tiny that I don't think it'll last until my next overseas trip. It's an extremely matte solid product, but it spreads surprisingly well when applied. If you find it too dry, try mixing it with a tiny bit of moisturizing emulsion. It applies smoothly, which feels great! While Opal seems popular in our country, I bought Nude. Opal seems to be around shade 21, while Nude is more like 23. Unless you have very fair skin, Nude might look more natural on you. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJul 12, 2016
The coverage is definitely its biggest strength. If you take care of your base makeup, the staying power is quite good too! (Especially for oily skin types!) First off, the application and adherence are disappointing. It feels like you're painting your face rather than applying makeup. (Plus, it transfers so much that it leaves marks on your phone screen during calls...) - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 8, 2016
I quite like it! The coverage is decent. I have acne-prone skin, and I used to use Dr. Jart+ Silver Label, but my skin kept breaking out. So I decided to switch. I was torn between this and La Roche-Posay Toleriane foundation, but I went with this one. After using it for a week, I'm satisfied. The best part is that my skin hasn't broken out, which is such a relief! The downside is that since I bought it online, I found it really confusing to choose the right shade. I wish I could have tested it in person before buying, but unfortunately, this product isn't officially imported in Korea yet. - er********Combination SkinAcne SkinJun 14, 2016
The coverage is amazing! It conceals blemishes and scars really well. You don't even need to use a separate concealer with this. The staying power isn't bad either. It's a bit drying... If you don't moisturize properly before applying, your face can look parched and cracked after a few hours. Spritz some face mist frequently and apply a hydrating cream beforehand, and you should be good to go. Since it's drying, it's best to make sure your face is well-hydrated before applying this product. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 7, 2016
Great coverage. There's a reason it's called the affordable Double Wear. Doesn't cause blemishes - I have acne-prone and sensitive skin, but it doesn't break me out. However, as time passes, oil builds up and can lead to blemishes. To prevent this, use blotting papers and finish with a setting powder. The shade Opal, which is supposed to be the lightest, is still too dark for me. This might be why I thought it covered acne scars better. I have very oily skin, and while it claims to be matte, it's not really matte? It feels like applying oil, and though the finish is matte, something feels off. It applies thickly and emphasizes texture terribly. Pore coverage is non-existent. It washes off with just water and simply runs down your face. The staying power is awful. Maybe because I'm super oily, but it doesn't last long. When it breaks down, it's not pretty. The only reason I didn't toss it was its high coverage and that it didn't initially cause breakouts. But without blotting papers, the excess oil led to blemishes. Remember to shake well before use.
