I find this oil absorbs well. I especially like that it's fragrance-free. Of course, being an oil, it doesn't instantly sink in. I mix it with my moisturizer and apply it all over, then separately on my eye area and lips. By morning, it's fully absorbed. I alternate between tamanu, rosehip, carrot seed, argan, jojoba, oregano oils, as well as Vaseline and shea butter, but I use this vitamin E oil daily because it's unscented and doesn't cause any blemishes. I'm using it hoping it helps with dark spots and wrinkles, though I'm not sure about the results. Still, I like that it keeps my skin from feeling dry. It's not a lightweight oil that absorbs immediately, so if you apply too much, you might find it sticky. I only use a generous amount when I'm staying at home. Adding a drop to your vitamin E cream enhances the hydration even more. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 9, 2021
It's more hydrating than jojoba oil or argan oil. The viscosity is higher than traditional natural oils. It's thick enough to properly coat your skin! The packaging is a hygiene concern! The opening is too wide and it leaks easily. The higher the vitamin E content listed, the more moisturizing it is! I apply it in this order: toner, emulsion, then this product to coat my eye area, around the mouth, and the bridge of my nose before bed. It stays put until morning. It's also great mixed with your toner, emulsion, or cream! - de*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 5, 2020
It's great for mixing with your cream when you're on Accutane or dealing with dry winter skin. Really helps keep your skin hydrated! The packaging is a bit of a hassle. The oil gets all over the lid, which isn't very hygienic. I've had to transfer it to a separate pump bottle for use. - je*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 1, 2020
I bought this product through overseas shopping after searching for alternatives to jojoba oil, which seemed to lack lasting power for my extremely dry winter skin. I've previously tried a purer vitamin E oil with a higher IU, but it was too sticky and I stopped using it after a few tries. This product, however, is blended with other oils, making it lighter and more satisfying to use. The texture is like a typical face oil, dispensed in drops. I mix it with my cream as the final step in my routine, and the difference is noticeable. Unlike most face oils that feel greasy, this one gives a firming sensation to the skin. It provides good hydration and lasting power. Adding a drop or two at the end of your routine is great for those extremely dry winter days. The packaging is also much cleaner compared to the nuclear waste-level containers from brands like The Ordinary. I've been using it consistently and enjoying it. The scent is reminiscent of the cheap maraschino cherries on old-fashioned cream cakes, or even a bit like plastic. It's not a pleasant fragrance. The absorption isn't great either. Usually, face oils can be rubbed between palms and applied as a final step, but this one pills when used that way. Because of this, I only use it mixed with cream. - st*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJan 31, 2020
This product is a renewed version of Jason's Vitamin E 45000. While the texture is similar to the previous version, I personally prefer the ingredients in this one. Due to the high vitamin E content, it's quite sticky and viscous. Since I bought it for skin recovery, I can accept the stickiness from the vitamin E. I believe I purchased it for around $10-15, which is a great value. I'm very satisfied with it, and even a small amount is enough to get through the harshest winter. On days when my skin feels dry and flaky, I apply it carefully, and my skin remains deeply hydrated until the next day. I was worried about potential blemishes, but there were none! I use it towards the end of my routine, sometimes combined with rosehip oil. It's truly a lifesaver in winter. Just be cautious not to apply too much, as tocopheryl acetate can have side effects if overused. I recommend starting with a tiny amount and gradually increasing as needed. The packaging design isn't the most hygienic, in my opinion. It's also a bit inconvenient that you need to squeeze it out with some force, but since you don't use large amounts, you'll probably get used to it. Because of its sticky texture, I recommend applying it as the very last step in your skincare routine, especially among oil-based products.
