When applied before makeup, it gives your skin a slightly matte finish with a beautiful glow. 1. The shimmering effect from the pearls gets covered by foundation, so it's hard to tell how effective it really is. Besides that effect, I'm not sure what other functions it serves. 2. A versatile pearl base that doubles as a primer? In my personal opinion, it reminds me of strobe cream. However, it's thinner than strobe cream, has a pearly ivory color, and offers some primer functionality. Because it's so thin, it tends to leak if you stand it upright. So I just lay it down when using it. My pores have been looking wider recently, so I was testing primers at Olive Young. I was drawn to its moisturizing feel and almost bought a thicker primer, but ended up with this instead. If you're expecting significant pore coverage, you might be disappointed. It only slightly covers small pores. Strangely, while it's not amazingly good, I feel like there's a subtle difference when I don't use it. I'll probably end up using the whole tube without really thinking about it. I have both strobe cream and this product, but lately I find myself reaching for this one more often. Great for achieving that dewy glow! It's perfect for those who love a radiant, hydrated look. It doesn't seem to have any effect on pores. I've heard you need to try a different product for that. As someone with oily skin, this product made me feel greasy, so I wouldn't recommend it. It might work well for dry skin types though! Also, the consistency is too runny - even a gentle squeeze of the tube dispenses way too much product, and the opening gets messy. Apply just a tiny amount at a time!

I thought it wasn't doing much, but when I skipped it, I really felt its absence! It's definitely better than using nothing. Since I use small amounts, it lasts quite a while. It covers my rather large pores quite well and surprisingly comes with a generous amount of product. The price is reasonable, and it applies smoothly overall. As someone with combination-dry skin, I think it would be great for those with dry skin types. While it does provide good coverage, it's not perfect. It applies smoothly like an emulsion, feeling light and not heavy on the skin. It doesn't cause any blemishes and seems perfect for those who prefer a natural makeup look. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for a product with high coverage.
