The texture feels refreshing and pleasant. It has a cool menthol scent and cleanses really well, just like the surfactants in mainstream brand products. According to recent articles about cosmetic ingredients and toxicity, it contains C12-13 Pareth, which is made by adding ethylene oxide (a Group 1 carcinogen) to C12-13 alcohol. It also includes quaternary ammonium compounds, which are highly toxic. I wanted to keep using it for its cleansing power, but I can't anymore. It seems like Hwahae's green standards have become a bit more lenient lately. The same product is flagged for containing quaternary ammonium on another ingredient analysis app called MomGuide. It's scary to think it might contain 1,4-dioxane, which has carcinogenic, allergenic, immunotoxic, and developmental toxicity potential. The app mentions that for these six ingredients considered quaternary ammonium, there's a possibility of trace amounts of 1,4-dioxane (a Group 2B carcinogen) remaining from the benzene and ethylene oxide synthesis process. They suggest checking with the manufacturer about residual harmful solvents. I contacted the company through their chat service, but they only said there's no problem. I wish they would attach relevant documents on the product page to confirm that these carcinogenic substances are definitely not present. The product felt so good to use... If it weren't for the potentially harmful ingredients, I'd want to keep using it. Now I'm back to being a shampoo nomad... When shampooing, I loved the refreshing cooling effect. I thought, 'So this is what they mean by reducing heat sensation!' But most importantly, after using it for about a week, people around me started touching my hair, saying it looked healthier. It felt so good! I only changed my shampoo, and I guess it's true what they say about good ingredients making a difference. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied! I wish it came in a larger size too. Or at least offer refills!

Perfect for summer, but I plan to use it in winter too. You know that feeling when you haven't washed for a few days and dead skin cells build up under your nails? Well, after using this, all that gunk was completely gone! It even handled greasy hair well. Though I have an oily scalp that usually gets greasy within two days regardless of shampoo, with this one it took about two days for oil to build up on my scalp. I've been told I might get hair loss from always parting my hair the same way, so I was thrilled to try this as a Hwahae Tester. While I'm not sure if it's due to brushing before showering, I do feel like I'm losing a bit less hair! Unlike other shampoos that leave my hair feeling straw-like and needing conditioner, this one is much gentler. The scent is nice too! While the lather isn't amazing, it's sufficient for a comfortable wash. Use this shampoo with the expectation of reducing hair loss rather than increasing volume. The bottle is so pretty, it'll look great in bathrooms where decor matters! The lather could be a bit better, but everything else is average. It's not an outstanding shampoo, but it's a decent, reliable option. The Hwahae Tester review period was too short to really experience the full hair loss prevention benefits, which is a bit disappointing. While I used to choose shampoos based on fragrance and price, for the first time ever, I'm deliberately using scalp-focused shampoos. I received this on April 7th and here's my review after using it daily for almost ten days! 1. Fragrance 💛 It has a mild, sweet, yet refreshing scent. I'm not sure how to describe it exactly... but it's non-irritating and reminds me of fresh honey and herbs...? I think most people would like it, regardless of personal preferences. 2. User Experience 💛 ✔ It lathers well. While I'm not sure about those with long hair, for my bob cut, one pump is more than enough to create a rich lather. It's great for thoroughly cleansing every part of the scalp and leaves you feeling refreshed. Plus, since you need so little, one bottle should last a long time. ✔ It's not drying. After rinsing, my hair doesn't feel stripped, so I've reduced my conditioner use. Of course, you don't get that silky seaweed-like feel you get with conditioner, but the shampoo alone seems sufficient. Not using conditioner might even be better for the scalp...?! ✔ It's cooling. There's a lingering cooling effect after use! While I don't necessarily feel my scalp getting cooler, the fact that my hairless nape feels cool for a while suggests it's probably helping with scalp heat. Yet, it lacks that harsh, spicy sensation typical of menthol products, which makes it non-irritating and pleasant. 3. Effectiveness 💛 ✔ Skin Overall, my scalp feels less itchy and healthier. It's not like I've achieved an invincible scalp or experienced miraculous effects, but it feels like I've regained a normal(?) level of health! Before using this, my scalp was so sensitive that even the friction from towel-drying was uncomfortable, but now that's gone!! ✔ Odor After my scalp weakened, I'd feel heavy oiliness and detect a subtle odor from my crown just half a day after washing, which really bothered me. But after using the Alllab shampoo for a few days, whether it's balanced my oil and moisture or not, I definitely notice less oiliness and odor! ✔ Hair loss After months of having an overly sensitive scalp, I started worrying about hair loss. It seemed like I was losing more individual strands when running my fingers through my hair, and the roots looked weaker... While I can't comment much on the amount of hair loss as I don't have significant symptoms yet, feeling my scalp become healthier has given me psychological comfort. I'd recommend this to those in the early stages of hair loss or those like me who are worried about potential hair loss due to a weakened scalp! 1. Given its gentle fragrance, the scent doesn't last very long. 2. While my scalp feels healthier overall, I'm getting some blemishes in certain areas. These are spots where I've always been prone to blemishes, so I'm not sure if it's due to the shampoo, but it doesn't seem to prevent them from forming. This is why I deducted one star. I'll reassess this aspect after using it for a few more days. If you massage the shampoo thoroughly into your scalp and leave it for 1-2 minutes before rinsing, the refreshing feeling is doubled ✌
