I absolutely love this product in terms of how it absorbs, its hydration power, and overall application. I've been using it consistently since winter, going through multiple bottles! The texture is watery but finishes with a slightly smooth feel, which is great. My husband has oily skin while I have extremely dry skin, but we're both satisfied using it. There's no irritation, and it's very moisturizing, so as someone with dry skin, I apply it generously in multiple layers right after cleansing! Since it's not a sticky or viscous formula, it feels hydrating, but if you don't apply other products quickly afterward, the moisture from this toner alone doesn't last. Personally, I don't prefer slippery or sticky textures, and I find that Blithe's lightweight formula actually provides a better deep hydration feeling, so I'll likely continue using this product. For those with dry skin like me, instead of applying the toner just once, try layering it multiple times to really let it absorb. It's gentle and hydrating. Great as a first essence and layers well without pilling. The formula is nice for my sensitive skin and doesn't cause any irritation. I expected a tangy fermented or grainy scent, but there's actually none of that. Instead, there's a slight artificial fragrance when applying, even though the ingredients list doesn't mention it. I've only tried the sample size, so I'm hesitant about purchasing the full-size product. When using an ultrasonic device, it works great to continuously mist this first essence instead of aloe gel. Fermented skincare products suit me well, and this one is gentle on my skin without causing irritation. It feels like it's providing good hydration. The texture is completely watery, but the sample container has such a large opening that it practically pours out. I have combination dehydrated skin. My skin condition worsened... it completely broke out. Definitely don't recommend! Even though I have combination dehydrated skin and it's not even a seasonal change, when I apply this, my skin gets dry and parched, causing severe deep dryness. My skin is breaking out terribly. It's not moisturizing at all. I tried using it for a week thinking it was an adjustment period, but I regret it. I used a sample, and now I'm at a loss with the full-size product I bought. I'm scared to use it. Absolutely not recommended for those who don't do well with fermented skincare products!

Applying the water essence just twice leaves your skin feeling like it's drenched in essence, with an added boost of moisture. There's really nothing to complain about... It's so gentle and wonderful! I have combination dehydrated skin, so I layer the water essence about twice. Even with just this, it provides a decent amount of hydration! If you have dry skin, you might want to add a moisturizing cream on top for extra nourishment.

It's gentle, almost fragrance-free, and I'm really enjoying it! The volume is surprisingly generous, so even though I use it liberally, it's lasting a long time. It's challenging to combat deep dryness with this alone, so during fall and winter, I wouldn't recommend using it by itself. The texture is incredibly watery and hydrating. When applied after using a pad, it eliminates deep dryness! I highly recommend it! It seems a bit pricey. I've been using this along with a cream and it's pretty decent. As I mentioned in my cream review, my skin texture has definitely become smoother and my complexion looks clearer. I really appreciate the eco-friendly packaging! The design is also clean and attractive. Since I have sensitive skin, I avoid exfoliating toners and always use this as a hydrating toner. However, the watery texture makes it a bit inconvenient for that purpose. It would be great if this came in a mist form as well.
