This mascara is absolutely amazing! It's typically a product more popular with Americans than Asians, so the brush is thicker, but it applies beautifully. The staying power is fantastic, and it's become my go-to mascara - I reach for it more than any other. As you can see, I've used it so much that the coating on the tube has worn off! I couldn't find anything particularly positive about this product. Unfortunately, it just didn't work well for me. 1. Poor curl retention - My lashes tend to droop easily with mascara in general, but this one was especially bad. By the time I finished applying it to one eye and moved on to the other, the first set was already falling. The lash drop was quite noticeable on my eyes. 2. Inconvenient thick brush - For those of us with short lashes, this mascara is challenging to use. The brush is on the thicker side, making it difficult to tell if you're applying it properly. It kept smudging on my eyelids too. I won't be repurchasing this. This mascara seems better suited for those with naturally long, full lashes. If you have shorter lashes like mine, you might want to look for a product with a thinner, more precise brush for easier application and better control.

The applicator seems better suited for Asian eyes compared to previous Maybelline products. It applies smoothly and offers above-average curling power. When you think of mascara, Maybelline comes to mind, but this feels like a significant downgrade from their classic yellow New York mascara. The sharp, gasoline-like scent is irritating (though it dissipates after application). Surprisingly, even without applying it to my lower lashes, I noticed subtle smudging about 4 hours after application, suggesting poor staying power. The way it absorbs and its staying power are decent, making it a safe and easy choice for everyday use. I bought it because it was advertised as washable, but I'm disappointed that it doesn't come off easily. - dl********Dry SkinMar 28, 2023
To be honest, I can't think of any particular advantages... Maybe it's affordable when on sale? While the unique packaging is nice, it's not slim but rather chubby, which makes it a bit awkward to hold. Unfortunately, despite being marketed for curl and bounce, it doesn't hold a curl well on my monolids! It droops, even after using a heated eyelash curler. This could be due to mask humidity, but still... For monolids, a lash primer is absolutely necessary! - The curling effect is outstanding! Lashes stay curled from morning to night. They really nailed it with the name 'Curl Bounce'! - I've been using it for a few days and haven't noticed any smudging. Of course, there's no flaking either. It's excellent value for money! - The brush is a bit too thick, making me nervous about getting product on my eyelids when applying close to the lash line. - It creates a dramatic, Western-style lash look, which might be a bit much for those preferring a more natural makeup style. After applying the mascara, I used a cotton swab to separate my lashes. The best thing about this product is that it doesn't really have any drawbacks. Sometimes I'm too lazy to remove my makeup before bed, but when I wake up in the morning, my lashes are still fabulous! The biggest advantage is its staying power. If anyone says this doesn't last long, they're probably not applying it correctly. I tend to wink a lot, so the inner corner area sometimes smudges a bit. The curl hold is decent, and despite the thick brush, it applies quite neatly. As mentioned earlier, the thick brush makes application a bit tricky, and it smudges terribly. If you're out and about for a while, you'll end up with raccoon eyes. 1. The spiral-shaped applicator is great. The brush is full, so one coat applies thinly and evenly across the lashes. It goes on beautifully. 2. This product focuses more on volume than length. 3. Since my lashes aren't naturally straight, the curl-holding power is pretty good, maintaining a natural and beautiful look. The smudging is so bad it negates all the positives. The 2022 mascara smudges like crazy. It claims to be waterproof, but it smudges at the pool and in everyday life. How can it claim 24-hour wear? Some blogger reviews seem questionable. I always thought my pencil eyeliner was the problem when I had smudging, but today I went out wearing only this mascara, and after 2 hours, I looked like a complete panda. I even applied powder before going out, but it's a powdered panda look. The attached photo shows a before-and-after comparison from about 40 minutes of water play. It smudges quickly even without diving. As a last resort, I'll try to salvage it with a fixer, but if that doesn't work, I'll have to throw it away. I'd rather have a mascara that flakes a bit because it's easier to touch up! This one doesn't even come off easily when it smudges. You need to remove it with oil and reapply, which is very inconvenient. It's such a disappointment. I don't think I'll be using Colossal again in the future. Since it's not a film-type formula, a cleansing balm removes it more effectively than a point makeup remover.
