Given its nature as a pore primer, applying too much might cause makeup to clump or pill, but this product firmly fills pores and smoothly covers skin texture, which is quite uneven in my case. After application, the skin feels comfortable. I have wide pores on my cheeks, generally uneven texture, and acne scars, so I'm very particular about my routine. I applied about a lentil-sized amount to each area (half that for the nose), and it didn't cause pilling during makeup application, creating a smooth and beautiful skin appearance. It creates a smooth protective layer on bumpy skin, allowing foundation to adhere well. The small size makes it convenient to pop into a makeup pouch when traveling. I haven't found anything particularly disappointing yet. The price is a bit high for the amount you get, though! When applying, instead of just spreading it on, use your fingertips to apply in circular motions for better adherence. On the nose, where product buildup can occur, pat it on repeatedly. On days when I put in extra effort, my routine is: Cleansing - Toner - Moisturizing emulsion - Sunscreen - RMK makeup base - Erborian pore cream - Erborian BB Nude + Shu Uemura Unlimited foundation - Powder. This base makeup routine helps maintain a flawless look for hours without any lifting. *It pairs well with Erborian BB cream! In a hurry? Just apply it to problem areas where pores are noticeable before foundation, and you're good to go.
