I really loved that the gel formula doesn't drip like a typical essence would. It has this squid-like texture that's pretty unique. After application, unlike sheet masks, it doesn't leave excess liquid sitting on your skin. Your complexion feels like it's been smoothed out and blurred in the best way, with this lovely soft, powdery finish. The results actually last until morning, which is impressive. Even though I have oily skin, this made my face feel surprisingly dry. Plus, while I was applying it, there was this stinging sensation that really bothered me. I usually don't notice irritation, but this was noticeable. Honestly, I wouldn't repurchase unless it goes on sale, and even then I'm not sure it's worth it. Even at sale prices, I'm just not that convinced.

Face in Face's After Shower Mask works wonderfully for my skin, and after using it, my skin feels hydrated and looks brighter. That's why I decided to purchase this product with high expectations. Irritation and breakouts: I didn't experience any, and actually, when I refrigerate it before use, it feels refreshing and really soothes my skin. Absorption: The gel melts into the skin and absorbs fairly well. It varies depending on your skin's condition, but I noticed it absorbed incredibly well when I used it after using a high-frequency massage device at home. Hydration: After using this mask, I didn't apply anything else on top. Still, the moisturizing effect lasted for a decent amount of time, which was great. Since it's summer right now, I think that's why. When the weather gets cooler, I'd probably want to apply a light cream on top for extra nourishment. Recommended for: Anyone who needs to calm and soothe their skin should find this works well, regardless of skin type. Price I paid: I got it on sale at Olive Young for about 15,000 won. Within the Face in Face line, the After Shower Mask really does seem to deliver the most dramatic results for me. I haven't found anything that performs better than the After Shower Mask. It's not a staple product I repurchase regularly, but it's definitely worth grabbing when it goes on sale.

But when I'm too lazy to do that, I reach for this gel mask instead. It's so convenient to remove and clean up afterward. Plus, there's no sticky residue left behind, which feels really fresh and clean. I love that I can use it right before heading out without any hassle. It does seem to work, but honestly, gel masks don't deliver those dramatic, wow-factor results that you might be hoping for. I mean, it works okay, but the effects aren't super noticeable.

Even after keeping it on for over 20 minutes, the cooling sensation stays strong the whole time. When I moved it from my face to my legs, it was so refreshing it made me shiver with delight! I have really sensitive, reactive skin, but the ingredients are gentle and the cooling effect is so fantastic that I love using it not just for skincare but also as a soothing treatment whenever my skin needs calming down. I honestly can't think of any real drawbacks. I really loved that this gel formula doesn't have a runny serum texture, so it stays exactly where I apply it without dripping everywhere. I used it right after showering, but honestly I can't tell if it's actually working or not. Since there's no serum component, the area around my eyes feels pretty dry. If your eyes and lips feel dry, I'd suggest misting your face with a hydrating spray before using this product - that seems to help a lot.

Usually, the mask doesn't cover all the way to the tip of my nose, but this one does, which I really appreciated. After using it, I could actually see the gel becoming thinner, and that was a great sign that it was working. The mask contains pearl particles, but I'm honestly not sure if they're actually doing anything for my skin or if they're just there for show. Compared to other after-shower treatments, this one dries pretty quickly, which made my skin feel tight and uncomfortable. I've tried several sheet masks from this brand, and this gel one seems to slip around way too easily. It kept sliding down while I was walking from my vanity to bed, and ended up covering my entire upper lip area. I love how easy it is to apply this gel mask without any hassle or worry. The mask is too thin and dries out quickly. The essence pools at the bottom of the pouch, making it awkward to apply. It doesn't feel hydrating enough and the brightening results are disappointing. What I really appreciate is how it seals in moisture when I layer it over a regular mask or after applying essence or ampoule. I usually avoid sheet masks with too much essence during summer, but I really liked that this one has a gel texture instead. The adhesion is great too. After using it, my skin feels firm and bouncy, and I don't feel that uncomfortable tightness anymore. While I was wearing the mask, it felt heavy and uncomfortable on my face. I always prep my skin with a toner before applying a mask treatment. I think this brand's hydrogel is pretty decent. It's a common thing, but the biocellulose mask doesn't feel as moisturizing... I've tried a lot of other hydrogels, and after using them my skin feels hydrated, but this product gives an even more radiant glow that I really love. If you have a larger face, you might find it a bit limiting... On my face it's almost slightly too much coverage... For guys, it might be a bit... you know. When I layer this mask on top of a sheet mask, the hydration effect definitely doubles. Whether I'm doing an intensive moisture treatment or using it before makeup, the difference is really noticeable. By the way, I have combination skin.
