  Pros

  I initially thought the herbal scent might be pleasant, but as I continued using it, I grew to dislike the fragrance. This ultimately led me to stop using the product.

  Cons

  I dislike the scent, and it makes my hair excessively oily. I don't feel any improvement in hair damage at all. Instead, my hair becomes limp and heavy. I only used it about three or four times before discarding it in almost new condition. What a waste!

  Tip

  Apply it before your hair is completely dry. If you apply it after your hair has dried, it tends to make your hair even more limp and heavy.

  Pros

  I started using this product on a friend's recommendation. My dry and brittle hair became soft and tangle-free. The scent is lovely too - I prefer having this pleasant fragrance in my hair over other perfumes.

  Cons

  While it doesn't cause blemishes since it's a hair product, applying too much can sometimes lead to clumping or greasiness. It does make the hair soft, but it can't reverse damage to already damaged hair.

  Tip

  For best results, apply a small amount before fully drying your hair, then dry it. Just before heading out, apply another coat to seal in the moisture and define your curls. This technique creates bouncy, shiny hair with a beautiful shape.

  Pros

  My hair is very fine and fragile, so I always think twice before coloring or perming. I use Aveda's Damage Remedy line shampoo, conditioner or treatment, and essence. After styling, I apply just three drops to my palms (which is enough for shoulder-length hair) and focus on the ends. This keeps my hair strong and frizz-free all day. It's deeply hydrating and lasts a long time - even after using two or three other hair products, more than half remains. Like most Aveda products, it has a lovely subtle herbal scent.

  Cons

  You really need to use a tiny amount. Even one drop too much can make your hair feel clumpy, and you should be careful not to let it touch your scalp. If you tend to get oily by evening even after washing your hair in the morning, you'll need to use this product with caution.

  I apply this to the damaged ends of my hair, and it not only adds volume but also gives a firming effect!

  Cons

  I wonder if using too much might make my hair greasy? For my damaged hair, it works perfectly when I apply it just to the split ends.

  Pros

  I started using this product due to severe static electricity in winter, and it completely changed my preconceptions about using oils on my oily hair type. It gives just the right amount of shine without making hair look greasy, and it seems to add bounce and elasticity to my hair texture.

  Cons

  Being an oily hair type, if you apply it too close to the roots, it can inevitably make your hair look unwashed and excessively oily. This isn't really a problem with the product itself, but those with oily hair might regret using it outside of winter months.

  Tip

  To use, drop 3-4 drops onto your hands, rub them together quickly, then apply to slightly damp hair by rubbing it in swiftly.
