It's not something I use daily, but when my hair feels a bit dry and lifeless, I apply it before bed. It's like a sleeping mask for your hair. I don't consider it a styling product, but rather something that adds shine and nourishment. For styling, I use other Aveda products. When I wake up and shampoo the next morning, I can feel that my hair has absorbed some nourishment.
ConsThe scent might be polarizing. Personally, I love Aveda's fragrances so much that I even use their Invati body spray as a perfume. However, my mother strongly dislikes it, and occasionally some friends complain that it smells like a temple or monastery.
TipIt's crucial not to use too much of this product. The applicator is a drop-by-drop type, and a little goes a long way. Two to three drops are sufficient. Apply these drops to your fingertips, rub them together, and then work the product into your hair, avoiding the roots. If you apply too much to your scalp, it can weigh down your roots, making your hair appear thinner.

It really helps with dryness and brittleness. It's especially great for winter use.
ConsAs the day goes on, my hair tends to fall flat. It doesn't seem to work well for summer use.

My dry and brittle hair became soft and tangle-free. The scent is lovely too - I prefer having this pleasant fragrance in my hair over other perfumes.
ConsWhile it doesn't cause blemishes since it's a hair product, applying too much can sometimes lead to clumping or greasiness. It does make the hair soft, but it can't reverse damage to already damaged hair.
TipFor best results, apply a small amount before fully drying your hair, then dry it. Just before heading out, apply another coat to seal in the moisture and define your curls. This technique creates bouncy, shiny hair with a beautiful shape.

The scent is lovely too, somewhat aromatic.
ConsYou need to be careful with the amount. Especially on days when you don't wash your hair...
TipRub it thoroughly between your palms before applying to your hair

I use Aveda's Damage Remedy line shampoo, conditioner or treatment, and essence. After styling, I apply just three drops to my palms (which is enough for shoulder-length hair) and focus on the ends. This keeps my hair strong and frizz-free all day. It's deeply hydrating and lasts a long time - even after using two or three other hair products, more than half remains. Like most Aveda products, it has a lovely subtle herbal scent.
ConsYou really need to use a tiny amount. Even one drop too much can make your hair feel clumpy, and you should be careful not to let it touch your scalp. If you tend to get oily by evening even after washing your hair in the morning, you'll need to use this product with caution.

I used to apply pumping essence generously every day, but the dry remedy oil felt heavy. This product, even in small amounts, creates a calm and natural look.
ConsThe quantity seems a bit small. As someone with thick hair who tends to use more hair products, I find the amount insufficient. I'm currently applying it lightly to my hair ends after running it through my whole head.
TipInstead of using it for overall styling, I apply it just to tidy up the hair ends. For a finishing touch, I gently run my palms with the remaining product over my entire hair, giving it a neat appearance.

It's not oily at all and helps tame those frizzy tips, giving them a more polished look. Just three or four drops are enough to do the trick.
ConsDespite its long-lasting nature, I still find the price a bit steep for what it offers.

Even a small amount helps tame frizzy hair and gives it a more polished look.
ConsExpecting it to dramatically improve your hair texture might be a bit too optimistic.
TipFor best results, apply it evenly to your hair ends before and after washing and drying. It really helps to calm and smooth your locks.

To be honest, I didn't notice much difference while using it consistently, but when I skipped a day, it was noticeable. My hair felt dry and had a lot of static electricity. I initially bought it as a supplement to my protein treatment, but even after my hair became healthier and I stopped using protein products, I'm still on my third bottle of this.
ConsThere are no real downsides. Compared to other products, the volume is a bit small, but even using 3 drops daily, it lasts over half a year. Oh, the price is a bit steep, but that's Aveda for you, haha...
TipYou can add a few drops to your conditioner and use it like a hair mask. It works great!
