It's great at removing dead skin cells, and after exfoliating, my skin feels incredibly soft and smooth. It also brightens my complexion. What's more, after getting rid of those dead skin cells, my makeup applies so much better! When exfoliating, I noticed it stings a bit around the nose area. If you have super sensitive skin, it might be best to avoid this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMar 17, 2020
Please note! My skin is sensitive and combination dehydrated, leaning towards oily. 1. Texture It's neither thick nor watery. When squeezed onto the back of your hand, it flows but has some viscosity, so it doesn't run too quickly. 2. Exfoliation I ended up buying this thanks to The Saem employee's impressive persuasion skills, even though it wasn't my original intention. They mentioned something about micro-peeling, saying it selectively removes dead skin cells. However, after using it, I didn't really notice the effects they described. It just moderately exfoliates, I guess. But on my skin, it caused a lot of redness after use, like little red spots as if I was having an allergic reaction. I'll mention this in the cons section! 3. Gentleness The employee claimed it was super gentle, but I figured there would be some irritation since it's an exfoliator. For me, it was harsher than expected, so I don't reach for it often. As someone who's used to Innisfree and Sidmool products, I'm not sure if this one has better ingredients, but it definitely doesn't feel gentle to me (having a point of comparison helps in determining what's gentle and what's not). 4. Post-use My face definitely feels smoother after use! It's like I'm reborn after a day of being drenched in oil, impurities, and dead skin cells. However, this is only before I look in the mirror... Before that, my skin feels soft and supple, but when I check the mirror, it's all red and irritated. 1. Scent As you apply and massage it on your face, you can't help but inhale the product's scent. The combination of fragrance and ethanol creates an extremely unpleasant smell that makes me hold my breath while using it. Also, it stings while applying. It's like poison for sensitive skin. 2. After-use When I look in the mirror after use, I see red spots all over my skin. They do subside after 1-2 days, but who wants to deal with this risk? Absolutely not recommended for sensitive skin types. My whole face also becomes flushed. 3. Price I remember it being really expensive. For a drugstore brand, the price for this exfoliator was quite high. Considering it doesn't suit my skin, it's really disappointing. It works great on elbows and heels though! As with all cosmetics, if it doesn't work for your face, try it on your feet. (The attached photo is just to prove that I actually used this product.) - Hwahae UserNormal SkinFeb 11, 2020
It removes so much dead skin cells, you'll be amazed it's all coming from your face! After cleansing, your skin feels incredibly smooth. It even gives a temporary brightening effect to your complexion! As you might expect, you absolutely shouldn't apply too much pressure... It can cause a bit of tingling sensation, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 24, 2019
I can only recommend this for those without sensitive skin. Seriously! I rarely write reviews, but I'm currently at the dermatologist because of this product. My skin is on the sensitive side, and this was incredibly irritating. I've never had my skin react this badly in my life. After using it, my entire face felt like it had been burned - it was stinging and swollen red. I didn't even scrub hard, but as soon as I started exfoliating, I felt a burning sensation and stinging. I strongly advise against using this if you have sensitive skin or during dry winter months when skin tends to be more sensitive and dehydrated. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 18, 2019
As a Hwahae Tester, I found it convenient and effective that dead skin cells came off easily with just a gentle hand massage. After washing my face, my skin felt smooth and soft. Unfortunately, the more I rolled it on, the more it seemed to irritate my skin. After rinsing, I felt a slight tingling sensation. Also, even a small squeeze dispenses too much product, causing it to dry and stick around the cap. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 16, 2019
It's great at removing dead skin cells and works well even for dry skin types. Frequent use can be a bit irritating to the skin, sometimes causing a tingling sensation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAug 26, 2019
After using it, you can visibly see and feel how smooth your skin becomes. I love that it forms clumps quickly, so you don't have to rub it for long. I thought it was a gentle product, but when I massaged it on my face like regular cleansing, it stung a bit. Once I felt the tingling, I started rolling it very gently. The tingling sensation doesn't last long though. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 15, 2019
It gives the illusion of sloughing off dead skin cells, making you feel like sebum is being effectively removed. After use, your face feels fresh and smooth. It was too harsh for my skin. My face felt burning and tingling. I'm afraid not everything that comes off is sebum, so it almost feels a bit deceptive. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 11, 2019
I really liked it. It was great that I could remove dead skin cells without any discomfort. Even though I don't have sensitive skin, it stings a little at first. It can get messy if you apply it with your hands, so using a mask brush works better. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMay 4, 2019
Whenever I felt rough, oily buildup on my nose, I used this. It made my nose smooth as silk. It's incredibly effective when used during seasonal changes when dead skin cells become more noticeable. It feels a bit harsh when applying. There's a slight tingling sensation, and it leaves my face feeling very tight, so I need to moisturize well immediately after use. For better dead skin cell removal, I found it more effective to cleanse with lukewarm water first to soften the skin before using this product.
