The pearl particles are incredibly fine and adhere well to the skin. The peachy gold pearl creates a natural skin glow. Personally, I prefer highlighters with smaller particles, so the color payoff is absolutely fantastic. Plus, the amount is so generous that it feels like it'll last a lifetime. The large mirror is also great, though I wouldn't carry it around for fear of breaking it! Controlling the amount and blending is extremely, extremely challenging. I'm not sure if it's my lack of skill, but it's as difficult to work with as NARS Orgasm in terms of potentially creating an overly shiny look. If you apply it incorrectly, you might end up with a T-zone that shines like a golden Buddha statue or looking like a highway reflector caught in headlights at midnight. On the flip side, this could be seen as an advantage for creating dramatic looks? Since it's gold shimmer, even if you apply a lot, you won't look like a futuristic cyborg from the end times. I've been applying it with a fan brush. Since the particles are fine and adhere well, making blending tricky, I apply it lightly multiple times. I barely touch the brush to the product, tap off the excess thoroughly, and build it up in layers. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 13, 2019
Apply it to the right spots on your face and boom! The glow pops! It's a definite highlighter. Perfect for those who love a bold makeup look. I wanted a subtle highlighter, but the shimmer particles are too large. Not recommended for those with visible pores or uneven skin texture. The shimmer gets stuck in pores and accentuates any unevenness. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinMay 19, 2018
As someone who didn't pay much attention to ingredients before, I just bought this because it was popular and on sale. Later, I realized it's great that it doesn't contain talc! The color is a mix of yellow, beige, and gold. At first, I thought it might be too yellow, but when applied to the skin, it creates a natural white glow. The base color blends seamlessly with your complexion, giving a natural look with a nice highlighting effect. It looks beautiful not just on the face, but also works well on the body. It's great that it spreads easily with a brush. The yellowish tint might be a concern for some, but since makeup always needs to be matched to individual skin tones, it's hard to call this a straightforward disadvantage. The excess powder can make the inside of the container get dirty quickly. It's also easy to get the product on your hands when opening and closing it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 25, 2018
The case is pretty, and I heard Lee Hyori uses it, so I was tempted to buy it. It's so beautiful, but I'm not good at controlling the amount, so it tends to apply too heavily. It's both a pro and a con for me. If you can control the amount well, you can use it beautifully for a long time. But if you're like me and struggle with application, you might end up looking like a cyborg! Still, I'm satisfied with the product because it's pretty. The subtle glow applies nicely, which I like. However, it's not great if you layer it multiple times, so it's best to apply just a light touch. I know someone who used the same product but gave it to a friend after using it briefly. She said it was too yellow and sparkly for a makeup novice like her to use, so she gave it away. She mentioned it felt quite heavy on the skin too. It's famous for being a classic highlighter and because Lee Hyori uses it, which is why she bought it, but she was disappointed by how heavy it felt. Also, she said it seemed to settle into pores and skin texture, accentuating them rather than creating a brightening effect. It wasn't natural-looking or brightening, just an awkward in-between, according to her. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 17, 2017
I really like using the sample product that comes with the purchase of Stainiac tint. It's subtle and has a beautiful sheen. The full-size product has too much product. It would be great if they reduced the amount slightly and packaged it in Dior's signature pretty paper case, then sold it at a more affordable price. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 17, 2017
This 8.5g product is made in the USA. The highlighter I used previously had a pearly, creamy texture, but this one has a finer shimmer formula, which gives it better staying power, so I switched to this one. Of course, the natural color is the absolute best. It's an ivory-tinted gold, but with minimal yellow undertones, so it blends seamlessly with my skin tone. It shines best on the forehead rather than the cheeks. It has a luminous, glowing effect. There's a photo of a mischievous, fair-skinned beauty on the lid, which gives this vintage-inspired design a signature look for the brand. Sadly, my facial skin is the powdery, flaky type, so any powder-based cosmetics tend to irritate it terribly. (That's why I can't use loose powder or even powder blush - I have to stick to cream formulas.) For me, this is an unfortunate must-have item that I have to force myself to use sometimes. Since I have a lot of uneven texture, I always make sure to lightly apply a primer to those areas before using highlighter. The primer helps reduce the irritation as well, which is a nice bonus. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 27, 2017
Nowadays, most highlighters don't show up well, so I've been looking for ones with a lot of pearl to use. This one has a subtle yet beautiful sheen, and I'm very satisfied with it. The color is a bit disappointing. It's a bit too gold-toned... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 21, 2017
I purchased this product because the gold highlighter is better than the shiny pink highlighter. Using the strobing makeup method, lightly sweep the fan brush across the cheekbones, and gently touch the brush to the bridge of the nose for a subtle glow. The highlighter can also be dotted on the apples of the cheeks or lightly applied to the front of the hairline for a pretty look. The large quantity means I may be able to use it all up, making it a satisfactory cost-effective product. You only need to apply the highlighter lightly with the brush. If you apply it like blush all over the cheeks, it will accentuate pores and uneven texture, making you want to cry. The case has a somewhat retro-teen vibe and is not very durable, so I don't recommend carrying it around in a makeup bag. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 12, 2016
This is one of my long-time staple products :) It has a luxurious pearly finish, great staying power, and with just this product, I can achieve a naturally radiant glow. Plus, the amount is generous! There really aren't any downsides, but you do need to have a good base makeup routine. If you use a highlighter (or anything else) on top, it will apply well. If you have flaky skin, using this could make it look a bit messy. After completing your base makeup, use a brush to lightly sweep and dab the product. Gently buff it in, and it will blend seamlessly and create a natural-looking finish :) - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 12, 2016
This is amazing!!!! I didn't use a highlighter because I heard it emphasizes pores, but I tried the 50% off Demore and it's really good. There's no pore emphasis at all, and when I applied it to my wrinkly palms, it looked like I had just applied moisturizer, not shimmery highlighter. You just have to buy it - it's the epitome of natural-looking. The case has a printed design, not a sticker, so the product capacity is smaller, but I think the sticker part will eventually peel off over time.
