  Pros

  Back in my early 20s, I used SK2 Essence and the results were dramatic. But it was so expensive! Recently, my skin's been acting up, so I was considering splurging on SK2 again. Then I remembered Missha's ad comparing their product, so I decided to give it a try. I bought it just before Chuseok, so it's been about 3 weeks now? Anyway, I can really feel my skin calming down and improving!

  Cons

  There's not really anything I'm disappointed with. It might not be quite as effective as SK2... but that could just be my perception because of the price difference.

  Tip

  You can use it like a toner to wipe your face, or soak a cotton pad with it and use it as a sheet mask for an extra boost of hydration.

  Pros

  I've been using this with the purple bottle as a set for over a year now. I must have gone through at least a dozen bottles by now. At first, I tried switching to other skincare products after a few months because of the price, but I noticed my skin subtly becoming rougher. When I went back to this product, I could clearly see the difference compared to other skincare items. I always use it as a set with the purple bottle, so I'm not sure which one is responsible for the effects, but it's amazing. Even though I habitually squeeze blemishes, blackheads, and whiteheads with an extractor every night, leaving my skin red, it somehow recovers in just a few days. It's truly magical! For reference, I have quite a few acne scars and I'm prone to both regular acne and small bumps. Also, I have dry skin.

  Cons

  The only downside is that it's quite pricey. There don't seem to be any other drawbacks, but I need to write twenty characters.

  Tip

  It's much cheaper to compare prices online and buy it there than waiting for Missha sales. I didn't realize this was a product that people either love or hate. For those who are worried, I'd suggest buying one product at Missha and getting a sample to try it out first.

  Pros

  I think fermented skincare products really suit me. In fact, this one even helped calm my blemishes. I originally used Innisfree's Natural Fermentation Essence, but I tried this as it's said to be a budget-friendly version of SK-II. Now I'm on my fourth bottle and using it without any issues. It definitely feels like it helps the absorption of the next skincare steps. I find it's better to apply with a cotton pad.

  Cons

  It runs out too quickly. I only buy it when it's on sale... On its own, it lacks hydration and doesn't do much beyond helping with skin texture. It would be more practical if they switched to plastic packaging and lowered the price.

  Tip

  It seems designed to create a synergy effect when used with other products from the same line. Personally, I found the purple bottle more effective than the blue essence. My complexion noticeably brightened in a short time...

  Pros

  It seems to improve my skin texture. When I use it like a toner, I notice fewer small bumps on my skin.

  Cons

  First off, the scent is not very pleasant. Also, due to its watery consistency, it's easy to use too much of the product.

  Tip

  When your skin feels dry, it's great to soak a cotton pad with this and leave it on your face for a while.

  The next day after applying, my complexion looks radiant. My skin feels firmer, and makeup goes on smoothly. It provides great hydration, and its effectiveness in soothing blemishes is absolutely outstanding.

  Cons

  I'm not sure about its anti-wrinkle effects, but its brightening effect is good.

  Tip

  If you squeeze a pimple and then apply this essence on a cotton pad over the area, it calms down quickly.

  When my skin was acting up, I saw great results using this. It's my first time trying fermented skincare, and it seems to suit me well. If fermented products work for you, this could be a great affordable option to try.

  Cons

  I personally found the scent okay, but looking at other reviews, I noticed many people didn't like it. If you're not sensitive to fragrances, you might find it fine.

  I generously applied it to a cotton pad and gently wiped my face and neck. It provides some hydration and is quite convenient to use.

  Pros

  With the 1st generation, I experienced some blemishes the day after first use, so I adapted by using it every 3 days. After that, I could use it without any issues. The 2nd generation seems to suit my skin right from the start! Its strong point is how hydrating it is. When I apply essence after using this, I feel like the essence absorbs even better. According to my dermatologist, it takes about 2 months for a product to reach from the dead skin cells layer to the dermis, so I think it's best to use any product consistently as long as it doesn't cause irritation.

  Cons

  Fermented essences have a higher chance of causing blemishes due to their fermented ingredients. It would be great if they offered samples to test before purchasing the full-size product, but it seems there aren't any samples available for the 2nd generation yet. Anyway, those with super sensitive skin should definitely test it out before buying.
