I absolutely... recommend this! It's my favorite modeling mask. I used to only use Lin** but switched to Descembre after seeing an esthetic clinic director use it. The cooling effect is extraordinary...! The soothing effect is incredible too. Whenever my skin acts up, I always reach for Descembre first. When my friends visit, I always give them this mask, and they all add it to their carts before leaving. You'd be silly not to buy it! The scent is a bit off-putting due to the ingredients, but it's not a deal-breaker. The soothing + cooling effect is just mind-blowing! I think it's good to apply it generously around the mouth area too, just like they do at dermatology clinics. - tw********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 28, 2025
I usually only use cheap modeling masks, but I had the chance to try this one. At first, I thought it was a burning sensation, but it turned out to be a cooling effect... It's truly a cooling effect I've never experienced before. Even after removing the mask, my skin felt refreshingly cool. The downside is that it hardens faster compared to other modeling masks. With other masks, you can revive them by adding water when they start to dry out, but this one becomes almost clay-like, making it difficult to salvage. - km******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 9, 2025
After trying various modeling mask brands, I've settled on Descembre for over half a year now. Alternating between modeling masks and sheet masks has led to many people noticing a visible improvement in my skin. Especially since using this product, my skin texture has significantly improved. My skin looks so good now that I'm not embarrassed to take selfies with the basic camera. On days when my skin feels irritated from being out for long periods or wearing makeup for extended hours, I make sure to use this mask to soothe my skin. It prevents any issues the next day. I absolutely love Descembre! I've already ordered the 1kg refill and can't wait for it to arrive. The downside is definitely the higher price compared to other modeling masks. For the 1kg refill, it can be up to 6 times more expensive. However, one purchase lasts a long time... I think of it as an investment in my future. When I look at it that way, it seems quite affordable. It's convenient to store the mask in an airtight container from Daiso. Descembre's own plastic container can be difficult to open and close. Also, in my experience, it's better to use a slightly higher water ratio with this mask compared to other modeling masks. - lu****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRednessRecommendedJan 21, 2025
The modeling mask provides instant skin soothing and a great cooling effect after use. I'm not sure why I should buy this considering its price. It hardens too quickly and feels irritating when peeling off. Applying plenty of essence before using the modeling mask improves absorption. - cj********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedDec 31, 2024
After using only budget-friendly products, I hesitated but decided to try this based on recommendations. Let me tell you, it's absolutely worth buying! The way it applies and adheres to the skin is on another level. It glides on incredibly smoothly, feels cool and hydrating without any irritation. It's truly excellent! As for the scent, while many dislike it, I found it neutral - just a seaweed smell. You can feel the difference from budget products the moment you apply it to your skin. Highly recommended! The product itself is perfect. The only downside is the wickedly high price... and the small amount you get. Please have more sales! - eo*******Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 25, 2024
The cooling effect lasts long after removing the mask, leaving your face feeling refreshed and hydrated for hours While it's great for cooling hydration, the price point is a bit high to keep purchasing solely for this effect. It also seems to dry out faster compared to other brands - im*******Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 30, 2024
The cooling effect is fantastic, and it's great for tightening pores. I think this modeling mask will become a staple in my routine. It's a bit tricky to use at first... But I think it'll get easier once you get the hang of it. The amount of water you use is really crucial. Make sure to apply it to your face quickly before it starts to set. - ek****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 11, 2024
The soothing effect is top-notch. When my skin is super sensitive, this product works better for me than anything else. Even after using a sheet mask, following up with this modeling mask makes a noticeable difference in my skin's condition the next day. Unfortunately, the price has gone up. I used to buy it for around 30,000 won, but suddenly it increased. As someone who uses it about three times a week, it's really disappointing. The scent isn't pleasant, and it can be a bit of a hassle to use. When disposing of it, I freeze the leftovers in a bag due to the smell, then throw it all away at once. - id******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 5, 2024
Great hydration, cooling effect, and absorbs well. It's easy to use because it spreads nicely and absorbs easily. Even after removing the mask, you can feel the moisture on the inside, and it does a good job of locking in the hydration from serums and ampoules. Thanks to the menthol ingredient, it feels refreshingly cool when applied to the skin - almost cold to the touch. While not as intense as initially, the cooling effect lasts well until you remove the mask. Although it absorbs well, it sets quickly, so you need to apply it fast. I had high hopes for spirulina's soothing and healing properties, and while the cooling effect was nice for reducing skin heat, I didn't notice much calming effect. Not sure if the menthol was irritating or if the high moisture content was too much for oily skin, but my skin actually felt worse after masking. It felt like... sebum was building up? And I noticed some small bumps forming. There's also an unpleasant fishy smell every time I use it. Considering the price, I didn't find the benefits significant enough to repurchase. - ki*****Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 29, 2024
As a seasoned user of modeling masks, here's my take on the Descembre 1kg 2-pack: First off, this Descembre modeling mask is worth every penny. It's incredibly cooling, but not in a burning way - it's just refreshingly cold. Perfect for super sensitive skin like mine and my mom's. I use cold filtered water when mixing, and it stays cool for the full 20 minutes. It's amazing for calming redness and leaves my face so bright, I look like I'm covered in flour! Don't assume all modeling masks are cooling - they're not! I tried the Lindsay Calendula mask yesterday, and it was only cold during application. That's one I'm saving for winter. For summer, I'm sticking with Descembre. Itaka is great but way too pricey! The only downside for me is the high price tag. But honestly, it's so good it's worth it. My mom keeps wanting to do masks together, so I might alternate with the more budget-friendly Lindsay ones. One thing beginners might struggle with is getting the water ratio right. Unlike Lindsay, Descembre gets a bit jelly-like after the first mix. You need to mash it up to blend in more water. Experienced users will know what I mean! Also, while the powder is fine, it doesn't dissolve as easily as Lindsay's. I had to scrape the bottom of my rubber bowl to mix it properly. You can see some powder stuck in the second photo. 1. I have a small face, so I use just over one scoop of powder. 2. More product makes application and removal easier, but for a perfect fit, check out Soi's YouTube tutorial on modeling mask application. 3. You can add leftover single-use hyaluronic acid eye drops or a pump of hydrating ampoule. I use Tosowoong's 100ml ampoule from Hwahae, but Descembre is plenty hydrating on its own. 4. I prefer the mask bowl and spatula that come with Lindsay masks. The rubber bowl is too big for me. 5. After masking, clean your tools with wet wipes before rinsing to avoid clogging your drain. 6. My routine: COSRX Peptide Skin Booster, Vitamin C23, hair drying, modeling mask for 20 mins, niacinamide ampoule, then moisturizer. Alternatively: post-shower toner, hydrating or cica sheet mask while drying hair, modeling mask with leftover essence, then niacinamide or retinol and moisturizer.
