If I had to find a positive aspect considering the price, I suppose the case might be worth mentioning. It tends to emphasize dead skin cells when skin is a bit dry. Instead of brightening or adding radiance, it leaves a dull and dry feeling. I have a fair complexion, but this product doesn't provide any glow. It falls somewhere between Espoir Face Hydrating Compact and Bio Fond, but it's overpriced and doesn't deliver value for money. There's really no standout feature worth mentioning. I hadn't used it for so long that I just started applying it liberally to use it up before it expires. It accentuates dead skin cells and makes my skin look dry and dull rather than dewy. Since no one else wanted to use it, I'm trying to finish it quickly myself. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresNov 16, 2017
The complexion it gives is brighter than other products, so when applied to the T-zone, it's like using a highlighter I have a lot of sebum on my nose but nowhere else. When applied to the nose area, it really emphasizes the pores, and on smoother parts of the face, it pills and doesn't absorb well. I tried applying it with the included puff, other sponges, and even my hands, but it still pills a lot - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 23, 2017
The color is beautiful... and it's Chanel, after all. The application is terrible, and the product quality is so poor that I can only think it's protected by the Chanel name. It applies even worse with the included puff. Try using a different applicator for slightly better results. - me*******Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticitySep 1, 2017
I decided to try this solid foundation after only using cushions. The case was smaller than expected, and the color looked natural! However, if your skin isn't in good condition, it can emphasize blemishes and pores. On well-exfoliated and hydrated skin, it applies smoothly. I found that rubbing it in works better than patting. Being beige-toned, it offers some redness coverage. I bought it for touch-ups, but since it can look patchy when reapplying, I've been using it for initial makeup application instead! The case is really small, and so is the mirror. The hinge doesn't open very wide, and the case feels a bit flimsy - it often doesn't close properly. You need to apply it with a rubbing motion rather than patting, and the coverage isn't particularly good. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 26, 2017
I find it quite moisturizing and nice. It doesn't pill even when I apply a thin layer over makeup. It seems to give a bit of a glow too! As for coverage, I'm not so sure... It might work well if you already have good skin. It's really just moisturizing. - wl*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 9, 2017
This solid foundation is a holy grail product. It gives you that flawless, egg-shell smooth complexion. It can look a bit patchy if your skin isn't in top condition. The included puff is absolutely useless. Try applying it with a Pony Effect puff instead. It's a game-changer! - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 1, 2017
This is the secret to that plump, smooth, peeled-egg skin texture! I've bought this at department stores, duty-free shops (twice!), and even stocked up on refills. It's a product I've used consistently. This is definitely a love-it-or-hate-it product. It's essential to test it in-store before buying. If you have uneven skin texture or prominent blemishes, it might be challenging to use. Those with combination dehydrated skin are likely to feel increasing dryness over time. As someone who applies facial oils year-round, I find it emphasizes dead skin cells in winter, and the dryness becomes more noticeable as time passes. I can't use it except in spring and summer. Given its eye-watering price, you might want to consider other products that give a good skin finish without breaking the bank. For best results, finish your skincare routine with a facial oil. Then, gently press a tissue over your entire face to absorb any excess oil before applying this product. This technique allows for a more hydrated application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 23, 2017
Even though I have combination skin leaning towards dry, this foundation applies like a dream. It allows for a natural skin-like finish and while the coverage isn't super high, it wears beautifully throughout the day. The case is extremely flimsy. The first one I bought had a damaged case that wouldn't close properly. I ended up having to buy a whole new product instead of just a refill. Since it's a solid foundation, you need to blend it carefully to avoid patchiness. It works great when used together with the Shiseido Spot Cover Foundation. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinApr 16, 2017
It's so convenient to use since it's in compact form. Compared to other solid foundations, this one applies really thinly and looks quite natural. Plus, it doesn't dry out easily on the skin. When I say it's thin and natural-looking, I mean for a solid foundation. You can still tell you're wearing makeup... But it's definitely not thick or cakey by any means. - rj****Combination SkinSensitive SkinMar 18, 2017
Convenience. Nice color. Pretty case. That's about it. If your skin condition is even slightly off, it terribly emphasizes dead skin cells and pores. I bought it for touch-ups, but it does a messy job at that. I purchased this because I was disappointed with the adherence of cushion foundations, but now I regret it... For this price, I could have bought another Guerlain foundation... sigh.
