Being an essence cushion, it's nicely hydrating and seems to have a slight cooling effect. It's supposed to have a pink base, but on me, it appears slightly grayish. There doesn't seem to be much darkening, and the staying power is incredibly long-lasting. The coverage is also excellent.
ConsWhen applied, it goes on thick and doesn't adhere well to the skin. If your nail accidentally brushes against it, that entire area gets smudged. Since it's an essence cushion, as time passes, it tends to get quite oily, so I wouldn't recommend it for summer use.
TipI find that using a beauty blender or wedge sponge instead of the cushion puff that comes with it gives better adherence, so I apply it with those.

Even without applying a lot of moisturizer in the base layer, this alone provides excellent hydration without emphasizing dead skin cells. Usually, hydrating base products have weak coverage, but this one offers surprisingly good coverage even when used alone. It's lighter than the usual #23 shade, so even a small amount can give you a bright, radiant look.
ConsThe biggest drawback is definitely the staying power and finish. While it applies beautifully at first, it doesn't adhere well to the skin, so it transfers easily. Areas where hair has brushed against it look terrible. It seems that applying even a small amount of powder after using this cushion helps reduce breakdown.
TipMake sure to finish with powder for the best results.

Since she doesn't use cushions much, I've been using it myself. First off, the coverage is surprisingly good, and it's definitely hydrating - more so than the IOPE Cover. In terms of value for money, the Essence Cushion is great when on sale. It gives a nice glow while providing coverage, making it perfect for daily winter use. It's also great for touch-ups as it doesn't cake up even when applied over foundation.
ConsThe inevitable downside of a hydrating product is its lack of staying power and adherence. If I apply makeup around 7 AM and arrive at work by 9, by 10 AM my phone is covered in foundation when I take a call! It also transfers a lot onto scarves and padded jackets. At times like these, I'm tempted to try Estée Lauder's foundation, famous for its adherence. It tends to look a bit oily and the color seems slightly dark. This is probably because it was bought to match my mom's complexion... It's not ideal for achieving a bright skin look, but it's great for a natural, healthy appearance. While I'm not a fan of my face looking too pale in contrast to my body, I still find it useful for touch-ups.

(For reference, I've never experienced breakouts from using products incorrectly.)
ConsThis product was such a disappointment. It breaks down too quickly, leaving the skin looking greasy. The coverage is extremely weak. I've been using Missha's Magic Cushion (alternating between the Moisture and original formula) for a year and a half. I decided to try this pricier option, but today I went back to my M Cushion, hence this review.
TipMissha M Cushion is the best. If you use it, you'll need at least two oil blotting sheets a day. Touch-ups are a must.

First off, it has great coverage, hiding acne marks well and covering pores, making my skin look smooth with a nice glow. For a moisturizing product, it has impressive staying power. I hardly need to touch up, maybe just once throughout the day.
ConsIt applies quite thickly, so it's obvious you're wearing makeup. You need to be careful with the amount you use. Also, it tends to transfer easily and doesn't seem to adhere to the skin very well. I really wouldn't recommend this for oily skin types, as it can make you look excessively greasy. It also tends to stick to your hair a bit.
TipTo avoid the cakey look, apply a thin layer all over and then just add a bit more on areas that need extra coverage.

The coverage seems to be a bit better too.
ConsThis cushion applies a bit thick. Maybe that's why it tends to sit on the skin rather than blend in. The coverage isn't as impressive as I had hoped.

I don't usually touch up my makeup, but the staying power isn't bad at all. Best of all, when you buy it on sale, the price is absolutely fantastic!
ConsAs with any moisturizing cushion, the longevity is inevitably a bit lower, and there's some transfer. In summer, if you don't finish with powder, it can feel a bit too dewy.
TipThere are two types - Moisture and Cover. Personally, I can hardly tell the difference in hydration, so I just use the Cover one! The difference between shades 21 and 23 is more about yellow undertones than brightness. It's best to test before buying, but 21 isn't extremely light and 23 isn't too dark either. All in all, it's a great value for money!

I have dry skin, and when I buy moisturizing cushions, they often give too much glow. So I tried this one, and it doesn't have much shine - it's just the subtle glow I've been looking for!
ConsThe puff that comes with the product seems to absorb too much of the formula. As a result, it doesn't adhere well to the skin... I think I'll need to use a different puff. Also, it feels a bit drying for my dry skin. It would be better with a more thorough skincare routine underneath.
TipChange the puff! Using this product with a damp Too Cool For School marshmallow puff is a perfect combination. For those with dry skin, make sure to layer on hydrating skincare products beforehand.

ConsMy Missha unnie kept telling me to buy this, saying it was really moisturizing, but rather than being hydrating, the adherence is absolutely terrible... It all separates, and even my mom asked what on earth it was, which says it all... I have a darker complexion, and using shade 23 makes me feel even darker... It's such a waste of money... Sigh, I guess I'll have to store it away and use it in winter.

ConsAfter a few hours, you can see it starting to break down a bit, and it transfers way too easily, unfortunately.
