The coverage is definitely impressive. Usually, when I apply base makeup, my skin gets red and itchy, but for the first time, I was able to wear it comfortably without any irritation. It's quite drying and matte. If you don't properly moisturize beforehand, it can sometimes emphasize dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 12, 2022
As time passes, it creates a natural-looking skin finish. I'm trying it for the first time and I really like it. You need to apply a good base skincare routine first to prevent it from separating. It might accentuate dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 10, 2021
Excellent coverage and staying power. It's less likely to transfer onto masks. It's quite drying for winter use and significantly emphasizes dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 23, 2020
I keep repurchasing and using this product. It provides great coverage and naturally brightens my complexion, which I love. When it wears off, it doesn't fade gracefully. Also, it seems to emphasize dead skin cells more than I expected. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 17, 2020
First time using the famous Estée Lauder foundation! It has a smooth application and a very matte finish. The powdery finish makes it seem great for oily skin. Not recommended for dry skin though... If you're going to use it, you'll need to apply your skincare products generously beforehand. After wearing makeup all day, when I look in the mirror, it's less prone to breaking down compared to other foundations. However, there is some pore-clogging and wrinkle accentuation. The darkening effect isn't too severe either. The finish is too matte, so you need to apply it very quickly. Not recommended for those with slow hands... (Make sure to do your skincare routine thoroughly!) After some time, there's noticeable pore-clogging, wrinkle accentuation, and dead skin cell emphasis. You need to buy a pump separately to use it...! Considering the price, it doesn't feel like a must-have item, so I won't be repurchasing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 3, 2020
When it comes to matte foundations, Double Wear is truly the best. The coverage is quite high if you apply 2-3 thin layers. Recently, they've released a wide range of shades, so you can find a match regardless of whether you have yellow or pink undertones. The foundation particles are on the larger side, so if your skin is dry or doesn't take makeup well, it can look noticeable. While its matte finish is a strength, be careful when decanting as the product tends to dry out quickly during use. If applying with a brush, since it's a matte product, using a flat brush will help it absorb better. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 12, 2020
For dry skin, it's a bit drying but the staying power is incredible. I doubt I could switch to another product. It's extremely drying, which really accentuates wrinkles. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 6, 2020
This is my holy grail... Even after 10 hours of wear, there's no breakdown. Since using this, I've had so many people ask what foundation I'm using and tell me my skin looks flawless. I have combination dehydrated skin, but I use this even in winter. In colder months, it can feel a bit more matte, but if I layer my skincare well and apply this, I don't need to touch up my complexion all day long. Dryness? It's quite matte, so if you apply it on dry skin, it can emphasize pores. That's why I make sure to layer my skincare thoroughly before applying! That solves the issue. Oh, and it doesn't work well with a foundation brush... I only use a sponge. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 29, 2019
The holy grail foundation for oily skin! It's matte with great coverage, making it a summer essential. Give it a try - highly recommended! Due to its matte finish, it can emphasize dead skin cells in winter if not applied carefully. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 17, 2019
The coverage is better than other moisturizing foundations! I usually prefer a glowy skin look and dewy foundation, so I was hesitant at first. But it's actually quite usable occasionally... I'll need to mix it with a moisturizer or oil for the best results! After trying it again, I found that mixing it with a hydrating, sheer coverage foundation works wonderfully. The longevity is great, there's no darkening, the color is balanced, and the coverage is improved. I'm really satisfied now! The color is quite reddish. It seems even pinker than my Shu Uemura pink shade, which is disappointing as it doesn't give that porcelain-like finish I was hoping for. It's quite drying, and after a while, it accentuates dead skin cells. Around areas with blemishes, the foundation starts to separate, which is frustrating. Can someone please share tips on how to apply this for a more hydrated finish?
