The staying power is truly exceptional! It lasts all day with minimal transfer. When I apply this and follow up with a fixing mist, it's perfection... I don't think you'd even need a separate powder. The foundation itself has a velvety finish and sets quickly, so it's important to apply a hydrating base to prevent it from looking patchy right after application. If you skimp on skincare, it might look a bit dry and cakey. As a summer cool tone, I find the Cool Bone shade a bit yellowish. Because of this, I've been mixing it with other foundations to make it work. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 7, 2021
This foundation truly doesn't transfer at all! After application, it feels completely matte, and it looks so natural when applied! Since others have already detailed the positive aspects, I'll focus on the color and coverage. Color: I was previously using Innisfree My Foundation 2.4. I was torn between Cool Vanilla and Cool Bone, but decided to try Cool Bone even though it seemed lighter. Surprisingly, Cool Bone wasn't as light as I expected! Comparison with Innisfree: Cool Bone is similar to Innisfree My Foundation 2.4 with just a touch (0.1 or 0.2) more yellow undertone. If you don't have time to test at a department store, this comparison might be helpful! Coverage: I used Innisfree My Foundation because of its good coverage. Comparing it to this Estée Lauder foundation, I'm not sure if it's just my application technique, but I expected a dramatically different effect, which wasn't quite the case. (I'll need to use it more to be sure.) Still, compared to My Foundation, it covers blemishes and dark circles better. I really love the matte finish and how it doesn't transfer! Conclusion (for those who find the full review too long): 💙 The color should work well for cool-toned individuals who usually wear shade 21. 💙 If you're curious about the color, comparing it to Innisfree My Foundation 2.4 might be helpful! I also found Hanyul shade 21 good for comparison. I actually tested Hanyul before purchasing this. 💙 It covers dark circles and blemishes well. 💙 It has a matte finish and doesn't transfer easily! One thing to be cautious about is that it dries very quickly! Before buying, I wondered if it could really dry that fast, but after using it, I found it really does dry quickly! Also, moisturizing is absolutely essential! While it does have a matte finish, you need to be thorough with your hydration routine! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 7, 2021
My skin suddenly became super sensitive, so I decided to switch to a better foundation. I'm already on my third bottle! Even without using concealer, it covers pretty well. I don't like sticky or overly oily looks, but this absorbs nicely and leaves a soft, matte finish that I love. As I mentioned, my skin became sensitive, and even when I used popular drugstore products that everyone raves about, I'd get small blemishes. But with this product, I haven't experienced any of that. I didn't notice before wearing masks, but when you put on makeup and wear a mask, it rubs off in patches very unattractively, and it's really difficult to touch up afterwards. Those who have used it will definitely know what I mean. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 5, 2020
The adhesion to the face is excellent. It lasts for a long time and has a soft, powdery texture. The coverage seems a bit lacking. It doesn't seem to cover blemishes well. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 9, 2020
I loved how it kept my skin feeling fresh and dry all day long. I think I'll be sticking to this product from now on. I couldn't really find any downsides to mention. I'll keep using it and see if I notice anything! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 24, 2020
The lightweight and thin texture applies smoothly, which I really liked. Applying two thin layers provides great coverage without looking cakey! It finishes with a matte and powder-like feel. Depending on your skin type, you might find it a bit drying. I found it less drying when I mixed it with BB cream. For best results, apply two thin layers for good coverage without looking heavy. If you have dry skin, try mixing it with BB cream or a slightly oily foundation. I experienced less dryness when I focused on a more thorough skincare routine beforehand (applying a moisturizer with some oil content as the last step, but make sure it's fully absorbed). - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 14, 2020
The coverage is excellent, and it applies smoothly. After application, my skin feels incredibly soft and matte. Even as time passes, it wears beautifully without breaking down. I haven't found a product that compares to this one. I've been using it consistently for several years now. You need to apply it very quickly. If you try to pat it in after it dries, it can become cakey. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 17, 2020
First time using the famous Estée Lauder foundation! It has a smooth application and a very matte finish. The powdery finish makes it seem great for oily skin. Not recommended for dry skin though... If you're going to use it, you'll need to apply your skincare products generously beforehand. After wearing makeup all day, when I look in the mirror, it's less prone to breaking down compared to other foundations. However, there is some pore-clogging and wrinkle accentuation. The darkening effect isn't too severe either. The finish is too matte, so you need to apply it very quickly. Not recommended for those with slow hands... (Make sure to do your skincare routine thoroughly!) After some time, there's noticeable pore-clogging, wrinkle accentuation, and dead skin cell emphasis. You need to buy a pump separately to use it...! Considering the price, it doesn't feel like a must-have item, so I won't be repurchasing. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinFeb 25, 2020
I liked how it applied with a soft, powdery finish, and the simple case design was quite nice. It was drier than I expected, which caused some dead skin cells to appear on my skin. For those with dry skin, I recommend applying a generous amount of a hydrating product before using this foundation to ensure better results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 5, 2020
Great coverage. Long-lasting. Leaves skin with a soft, powdery finish! By afternoon, it feels slightly dry and starts to look a bit patchy. Touch up with a Double Wear cushion that's half a shade lighter, and spritz with a hydrating mist for added moisture.
