The staying power is truly exceptional! It lasts all day with minimal transfer. When I apply this and follow up with a fixing mist, it's perfection... I don't think you'd even need a separate powder. The foundation itself has a velvety finish and sets quickly, so it's important to apply a hydrating base to prevent it from looking patchy right after application. If you skimp on skincare, it might look a bit dry and cakey. As a summer cool tone, I find the Cool Bone shade a bit yellowish. Because of this, I've been mixing it with other foundations to make it work. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSep 10, 2021
This product always makes it to the top recommendations for oily skin foundations! I've been using it for years, and I can confidently say the coverage is truly outstanding. You only need a small amount to get better coverage than most other foundations. I've heard a lot of talk about the price, but honestly, all department store brands are in this range. Plus, it's not a product you use wastefully, so I don't find the price to be excessive. I haven't found a better product yet, so I'll likely be sticking with this one for a while. Applying it with your fingers can result in a thick, heavy application. Also, the foundation itself has a very yellow undertone, so make sure to test it before purchasing! The way it breaks down throughout the day isn't very flattering (not to mention the darkening). Although I'm still using it because I haven't found a foundation I like better, these issues seem unavoidable. Try applying a thin layer with a damp sponge, gently patting it onto your skin (though personally, I prefer more of a pressing motion than patting). - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 30, 2021
Here's a review from a high school student after using it for 2 years!! Coverage ❤❤❤❤ The coverage is so good that I can't imagine using any other foundation. Of course, it doesn't completely cover blemishes and pores without concealer, but it's close! I took off one heart because I have large pores, and using this foundation alone without primer can be a bit challenging. Longevity ❤❤❤❤❤ The foundation itself has high coverage, and it maintains well until I get home in the evening. However, one slight drawback is that since I have super oily skin, the foundation isn't extremely drying, so it doesn't give a completely matte finish. But it does break down beautifully over time. Color ❤❤❤❤ I was worried because I heard it has a strong yellow undertone, but it wasn't as bad as I feared. It's not completely free of yellow, but it doesn't make you look jaundiced either. ❤Overall❤ It's a great foundation overall, and I think I'll stick with this one for the foreseeable future! There is a slight yellow undertone, and those with very oily skin like me might find the lack of a completely matte finish a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 13, 2020
Holy grail foundation (excellent coverage, long-lasting, and absorbs beautifully) While it's slightly disappointing that the shade has a yellow undertone, it's not very noticeable when applied - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 23, 2020
There's nothing quite like Double Wear foundation for summer! I also use it well in winter by mixing it with a small amount of moisturizer. The original dispenser it comes with is so inconvenient! In my case, I bought it at duty-free and found a Daiso pump to fit it. For me, it's a bit dark and has a yellow undertone, so I usually mix it with other products! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 29, 2020
I bought this foundation as it's recommended for oily skin. While it doesn't completely eliminate oil, any shine that does appear can be easily fixed with a tissue or powder without the makeup pilling or breaking down. This is my holy grail foundation! The downside is that if you apply it incorrectly with the puff, it can go on too thick, so you should use a brush instead. It doesn't fully cover red blemishes, and the color has a slightly yellow undertone and isn't very bright, which is a bit disappointing. Although it's pricey, this is the best foundation for those with oily skin! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 14, 2020
This product is an absolute perfect match for me! As someone with super sensitive skin who can't use just anything, it's not irritating at all. The staying power and coverage are both flawless. The main issue is that the overall color tone comes out a bit yellowish. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinFeb 28, 2020
The skin looks beautiful and stays put all day, even after playing around. Surprisingly, it's not as drying as I expected. For a color meant for cool tones, it has a slightly yellowish tint. Always keep your base makeup hydrated! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 26, 2019
My skin is combination dehydrated, and after using VDL's product, it gradually became incompatible with my skin. So I turned my attention to department store brands. I bought this one since it seemed to be the most popular, and wow, it's a game-changer! It's truly amazing - it adheres to my skin perfectly. Now I understand why people spend more on foundation; it absorbs so well. Even on days when my skin isn't at its best, it still works wonderfully. I've already gone through two bottles! Well, about it being really yellow... I have 21 shade skin, but this is really yellow on me. I was originally going to buy the natural shade, but hearing it was yellow, I got the cool tone instead. Even this one leans yellow... If you think your skin is reddish, you should try this. If I had bought the natural color, I might not have used it much... haha! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 13, 2019
The coverage and overall staying power are top-notch. It's a disaster if you don't use Double Wear in summer. It conceals pores well, and even with a thin layer, it adheres to the skin seamlessly for a natural look. There's an issue with it separating around the nose area. And the unavoidable yellow base... I recently switched from warm to cool undertones because I prefer a brighter skin look these days, but it appears more natural than radiant. Since it's a bit yellow, I mix it with a beginner-friendly BB cream, and they seem to work well together.
