I didn't experience any blemishes with this product. The staying power is quite good, and the coverage is decent enough. The shade is too dark for me... It doesn't seem like it should be that dark, but it makes my complexion look so dull that I don't feel like using it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinApr 22, 2023
After applying, it keeps my face looking hydrated for over 5 hours, even when oil starts to appear. This might be the best foundation for oily skin types. The ingredients seem to be among the gentler ones for a foundation. As someone sensitive to scents, I appreciate that it's fragrance-free. The price is high, but I can understand why. Unfortunately, the shade looks too dull on my skin. While shades 17 to 21 match my neck color, the cool-toned version makes me look more yellow than my neck. I'm considering trying the porcelain shade next time. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJun 26, 2022
It's my first time using this, and I'm impressed with how well it adheres to my skin. Even with my oily complexion, it suits me perfectly. I think I'll keep using it in the future. I'm not sure if I chose the wrong shade, but despite selecting a fairly light color, it still appears a bit dark on me, even though I usually use shade 21. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 25, 2021
The staying power is truly impressive. I used to carry my cushion compact everywhere for touch-ups, but since using this, I've stopped completely! While there's a slight darkening effect, it sets so well that it doesn't budge even when I sweat or my skin gets oily. As someone with fair skin, I find the color a bit dull compared to my complexion. I prefer a brighter look, so... I wanted to get Porcelain, but it was sold out, so I bought this. It doesn't seem to suit my skin with reddish undertones. Applying more does lighten it, but it makes my base look too thick. You need some skill to blend it quickly before it sets, or it'll dry unevenly. Touch-ups are a no-go with this one - it just pills up. Honestly, I'm not sure if it controls oil well in my T-zone. My skin gets just as oily, so blotting papers are a must. Apply it in thin layers! Blend quickly before it dries. While it's somewhat better than other foundations, I wonder if there's a foundation out there that's even better at controlling oil? - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 17, 2021
I bought this product because it's so well-known and popular, but I couldn't feel that it was worth the price at all. Apart from the fact that the ingredients are somewhat decent, I wouldn't recommend it. Even though I chose the lightest shade, it still ended up looking darker than my actual skin tone. It was also extremely drying, so I only used half of it before giving the rest to my mom. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJan 17, 2021
The coverage is really excellent, and I love how it sets perfectly on the skin Perhaps because I have dry skin, it felt a bit drying. Also, I made a mistake in choosing the shade, so the color didn't quite match my complexion - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 16, 2021
✓ The signature of matte foundations for oily skin - Estée Lauder Double Wear! ✓ With so many matte and fixing foundations out there these days, when you compare, it's definitely matte but doesn't finish as powdery or dry as you might expect. ✓ Coverage is medium to high. It covers well, but as a trade-off, it can feel a bit heavy and slightly suffocating when applied to the skin. ✓ It doesn't hide skin texture or pores, and its matte particles might actually accentuate them. If you have noticeable texture or large pores, using it with a primer might give you better satisfaction. ✓ I don't use it alone, but mix it with Armani Lasting Silk - this combo is absolutely amazing... truly... highly recommended for foundation nomads out there! ✓ Well... I found everything about it disappointing, to be honest. 1. Color range - They've added more shades now, but when I initially purchased, even the lightest shades (both pink and yellow base) were too dark for my shade 17 skin. Especially for cool undertones, the color is really off. It has too much red, making the face look dull? The shades don't seem to suit Asian skin tones. 2. Oxidation - This seems to apply to the pink-based shades, but even from the swatch on the back of my hand, you can see that the color changes noticeably from the initial application after just a short while, becoming much darker. It makes the skin look dull. 3. It severely accentuates pores and skin texture. After trying various application methods, I found that it works best with a Real Techniques sponge. As it's a matte foundation, I wouldn't recommend using it with wedge sponges or similar. It can make your skin look really dry and patchy. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 6, 2021
My skin is quite sensitive, and usually even the slightest mistake in product choice can lead to blemishes. However, unlike other foundations, this one has fewer harmful ingredients, so it didn't cause as many skin issues. I accidentally bought the wrong shade, and when I applied it to my face, it made my skin look too dark and gave my complexion a pinkish tint. It worked a bit better when I mixed it with another lighter yellow-based foundation. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 27, 2020
As someone with cool undertones, this was the first Double Wear shade I tried. When applied in thin layers, it offers unbeatable coverage and longevity that no other product can match. The shade runs a bit dark and tends to be on the drier side, so it requires extra attention during application. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 29, 2020
I bought this foundation as it's recommended for oily skin. While it doesn't completely eliminate oil, any shine that does appear can be easily fixed with a tissue or powder without the makeup pilling or breaking down. This is my holy grail foundation! The downside is that if you apply it incorrectly with the puff, it can go on too thick, so you should use a brush instead. It doesn't fully cover red blemishes, and the color has a slightly yellow undertone and isn't very bright, which is a bit disappointing. Although it's pricey, this is the best foundation for those with oily skin!
