I've been using it from pregnancy through postpartum, and now with my baby. Being 100% natural, our whole family uses it with peace of mind. While it's said to replace cleansing cream and foam, I use it as a liquid soap. It's gentle and doesn't cause any deep dryness, which is great for bath time too. Although iHerb is no longer an option, you can find good deals if you look for direct purchases. I love that it's a fair trade product, so the profits go to a good cause. Consumers get a fair price, so there's no reason not to buy it. I plan to repurchase this for life.
ConsThis seems well-suited for dry to normal skin types. After cleansing, it leaves the skin hydrated without any tightness. The scent and texture aren't particularly bothersome. As an all-in-one product, I use it for the whole body, but I only wash my baby's hair with it. For myself, I use a different brand of natural shampoo. It's a bit thick in consistency.
TipI've heard Alaffia also has a 100% shea butter product. After showering with black soap, melting a bit of this oil and applying it all over your body could be the ultimate in hydration. You can get it on iHerb for about $8,600? The Alaffia brand is truly a hidden gem.
