I tried this large-sized product for the first time and was pleased that it didn't cause any irritation. At first, I wasn't keen on multi-purpose products, but I've been using this one for years now. There's nothing bad to say! The only downside is that it's cheaper if you buy it directly from overseas. One bottle lasts for ages though. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJul 4, 2018
As a facial cleanser, it seems excellent. I was initially concerned about potential irritation when rolling it on dry skin, but that doesn't seem to be the case. When I add water and lather it up, it feels like I'm doing a double cleanse. Although I haven't used it for long, I'm satisfied with the results. While it's not that it doesn't lather at all when using the shampoo, it produces less foam compared to other products, so I end up using more. I suppose that's because of the natural ingredients. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 21, 2018
I had been struggling with unexplained contact dermatitis, and even natural cleansers weren't helping with dead skin cell removal. I couldn't exfoliate too aggressively either, so my skin was in quite a predicament. After using this product for over three weeks, I'm truly satisfied. My blemishes and whiteheads have faded, and it's also helping to soothe my skin. For someone like me with troubled skin, this has been a real lifesaver. I plan to stick with this product exclusively for the foreseeable future. I haven't noticed any drawbacks yet. I'll update after using it for a bit longer. - su*********Dry SkinAtopic SkinJun 14, 2018
I love that it's a natural product. It feels like it's giving my skin a thorough, refreshing cleanse. Being a natural product, it seems to be missing something. The lather isn't as rich as I'd like. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedApr 17, 2018
I bought it and tried the sample, and so far it seems pretty good! Hmm... I purchased this after using Dr. Bronner's. Compared to Dr. Bronner's, it doesn't give that squeaky clean feeling, which I personally like. It almost makes me wonder if I've actually cleaned my face properly, but I'm sure that's not the case, right? - pi*****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessFeb 27, 2018
I recently purchased this and tried it for the first time. I deliberately applied heavy makeup and challenged it with my cleansing routine. Surprisingly, it removed everything thoroughly, felt gentle, and didn't leave my skin feeling dry. It stings a bit if it gets in your eyes. Although it's advertised for use on the body as well, I found it doesn't lather much for body use, so I'll stick to using it on my face. Since it contains only naturally-derived ingredients, I'm willing to accept these minor drawbacks. First, wash your hands. Then, pump the product 3 times onto dry hands and massage it thoroughly onto your face. Afterwards, wet your hands and continue massaging to create a rich lather. Rinse thoroughly with water. If you don't rinse well enough, it might leave a slightly slippery feeling, in my experience. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 20, 2017
The ingredients are good, and it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight after cleansing, so I've repurchased it and continue to use it While it occasionally goes on sale, the price is still a bit steep for a cleanser - Hwahae UserOily SkinSep 27, 2017
The ingredients are gentle, and buying in bulk offers great value for money. It doesn't lather well. After rinsing, the skin feels squeaky clean. Perhaps due to the shea butter, it seems to produce a lot of excess oil. The pH level is 8 - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 26, 2017
When it comes to all-in-one products, I'm particularly mindful of the ingredients. Alaffia seems to be one of those rare cleansers you can trust and use without hesitation! However, if you're sensitive to shea butter, especially those with acne-prone or oily skin in summer, you might want to be cautious. It seems to cause blemishes for some people unpredictably. If you're using it as a shampoo substitute, try massaging your scalp with your fingertips as if you're just cleansing the scalp. For the rest of your hair, instead of directly washing it, let the foam from rinsing your scalp run through it. Gently work it through to remove dirt and impurities. In my personal experience, this method feels less harsh and causes less irritation than direct washing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 28, 2017
I bought this from a home shopping channel and have been using it for over a year now. While it doesn't lather much, it's gentle on my skin and removes makeup effectively. I'm really happy with it! I like everything about it except for one thing - if it accidentally gets in your eyes, it stings like crazy!
