Pros
- Texture: Slippery with a viscous consistency and slightly heavy feel. - Application: Glides on smoothly with a rich feel. - Absorption: Absorbs surprisingly quickly with a slight stickiness. - Hydration/Moisturization: Maintains excellent moisture levels, addressing both surface dryness and deep dryness. Quick absorption allows for double application for longer-lasting hydration. I expected this essence toner to be heavy, but once absorbed, that feeling completely disappears. Compared to other essence toners, it's lighter with a good consistency and strong moisturizing power, which I'm very satisfied with.
Cons
While I didn't experience any issues, there is a slight stickiness after application. Those sensitive to sticky textures might not enjoy this.

Absorption: It's very thin, like runny mucus. There's a slightly slippery feeling! Absorption power: It doesn't feel like it's instantly sinking into the skin... It's more like the molecular structure feels large. It's water, but it absorbs with a slight slip, like oil? It's not a pure hydration feeling, more like there's 0.00001% oil in it. You need to pat it in quite a bit. But that means the moisturizing power is super strong! Moisturizing power: I think it's definitely more moisturizing than other toners I've tried! It feels like it has some nutritional value, if you know what I mean... Recommended skin type: All types! Strongly recommended for those looking for a nourishing toner!
Cons
Price: 200ml ₩19,000 (regular price) As of January 2022, it's 21% off on Hwahae Shopping at ₩14,900... but I'm not sure I want to buy it at this price. I've only used it for a few days, but if I see a noticeable change in my skin by the time I finish the bottle, I might consider it. I wish it came in a larger size for a bit cheaper!!
Tip
If you want plump skin, go for a hydrating mask!

The texture is somewhere between a runny and watery consistency, with a slick feel. Initially, I wasn't impressed as I dislike residual slipperiness or stickiness, but upon use, I found it doesn't leave much of a slick feeling and absorbs quite quickly. I appreciated the moderate hydration it provides. In my opinion, it might work well for those with oily skin as a light essence. It offers some hydration without leaving an oily residue, making it potentially suitable for blemish-prone or oily skin types. As someone with dry skin that's prone to occasional blemishes, I noticed a significant reduction in my skin issues while using this. I think it might be due to the product helping balance my skin's oil and moisture levels. It also feels gentler than my previous essence. As a representative of super sensitive skin, I found this product to be quite mild.
Cons
The main drawback is that while it might provide adequate hydration for oily skin types, it falls short for my dry skin. It wasn't effective in addressing deep dryness. When I ask myself if I'd spend my own money on this product after finishing it, I'm hesitant. It lacks a standout feature that would make it truly exceptional, which is disappointing.

True to its name as an essence toner, this product has a texture that's right in between - not too watery, not too sticky. I usually use it as an essence to boost absorption rather than as an exfoliating toner, applying it directly with my hands. On days when my skin feels particularly dry, I soak a cotton pad generously and use it as a mask pack. It's fascinating how it initially glides on smoothly, then feels slightly sticky as it begins to absorb, but with a few gentle pats, it sinks right in, leaving my skin feeling incredibly hydrated. With winter and indoor heating, my skin used to dry out quickly, but since using this product, that feeling has noticeably decreased. Above all, it's fragrance-free, making it a go-to product that I can apply without any worries!
Cons

Pros
For an essence toner, it's surprisingly non-sticky, which is fantastic! Pros
Personally, I love the design. The packaging box securely holds the bottle, giving it a stable feel. It seems unlikely to break during shipping. The bottle itself is great! The nozzle makes it easy to control the amount of product. As for the application, it initially feels slippery and seems like it won't absorb, but it quickly sinks into the skin. I haven't experienced any blemishes or pimples from using it.

The downside: While it was wrapped in plastic, it was then repackaged in a shipping box. The scent isn't to my liking. The product feels a bit drying for winter use.

This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I have oily skin that gets dry in winter. The essence has a smooth texture that's not overly runny, and it spreads easily. It feels slightly slippery at first but then absorbs well into the skin. I preferred using it in the evening, followed by a cream. It completely eliminated dryness, leaving my skin soft and hydrated even in the morning. There was a noticeable difference compared to using cream alone. My eye area tends to be very dry, but after using this consistently for a week, I saw a significant reduction in dead skin cells. I also appreciated that it didn't cause any burning sensation or have an unpleasant scent.

My skin type is dry! I thought it was a watery toner, but it has a slight slip when applying due to its viscosity. As someone who uses exfoliating toners, I appreciated that it wasn't irritating. I was worried the essence toner might be too light and watery, but it actually feels quite hydrating. It's lightweight yet gives a moisturizing sensation. When using it with an exfoliating toner, I just pat it in with my hands. Yesterday, I tried using it without the exfoliating toner, applying it with a cotton pad. The texture is slightly slippery, so I prefer the first method. Though it feels a bit slick at first, it absorbs quickly into the skin.

There's not really anything to complain about, but I wish the volume was a bit larger. Since it's winter, I'd like to use it more generously.

As someone with combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes, I tried this product for a week to review it! 1. Texture True to its name 'Essence Toner', it's less runny than a typical toner. It initially feels slightly slippery when applied, but over time it absorbs completely, leaving a firm, bouncy feeling on the skin. 2. Scent I'm quite sensitive to fragrances, but this one has a refreshing scent that didn't bother me at all! 3. Soothing effect While I didn't use this product alone, since incorporating it into my routine, I've noticed fewer breakouts and existing blemishes have reduced in size! Since the toner was the only change in my skincare regimen, I believe these improvements are due to this product. 4. Size At first glance, I thought the bottle looked small, but it actually contains 200ml which is a perfect amount.
Cons
While everything else is great, the dispenser could be improved. It would be better if it had a twist-open cap like other products or if it came with a dropper for easier application.
