'Taupe' seemed too intense, so I postponed it. I really wanted 'Mocha', but while researching it, I found out about a similar product and ended up getting this one. (Note: Mocha is said to be lighter than Valkyrie) You, my dear 'Valkyrie', illuminate my face, everyone. No, more than just illuminating, the color is sophisticated and luxurious. It seems to have a yellow base tone. I feel like anyone with a deep undertone could pull this off... It applies smoothly. Let's see how we get along, my Valkyrie for my face ----------Update----------- Looks like I'm not a deep autumn tone after all... At first, I thought it suited me... But it makes my complexion look dull... Farewell, Valkyrie...
ConsYou really have to sharpen this one all the way down to use it~ It's such a pain. As for the price... well, they nailed the color so perfectly, what can you expect?
TipIt would look pretty as a full lip or gradient. I've found out that NARS has many shades suitable for autumn deep tones.

Even after trying Dolce Vita, I was unimpressed and thought 'Maybe it's not for me' during the dried rose craze. But Valkyrie changed everything!! It's a perfect match ㅠㅠㅠ It's reddish yet subtle, making it ideal for daily wear at the office.
ConsThe matte finish is a downside. After using this, perhaps due to dryness, I experienced a cheilitis outbreak. Also, sharpening it is extremely inconvenient.
TipFor those with dry lips, apply a moisturizer and let it absorb before using this product.

For those with a deep undertone to warm skin, I can't imagine anyone saying it doesn't look beautiful. It instantly elevates your mood, gives off a retro vibe, and the color payoff is outstanding. The staying power is the best among all the lip products I own. Apply it in the morning, and even after eating and drinking, you won't need to reapply - the longevity is that impressive!
ConsThe only downside is that you need to sharpen it frequently. I tried using a Bobbi Brown sharpener and almost ruined it, so I ended up buying the brand's dedicated sharpener at the NARS counter.
TipSince it's a pencil formula, it can be quite matte. I recommend exfoliating your lips the night before and applying a bit of lip balm before using this product for the best results.

As someone with a Korean 24-25 complexion, Dolce Vita matched my natural lip color so perfectly it was almost unnoticeable. Valkyrie, on the other hand, has this gorgeous brick-red hue with just the right mix of red and brown. It's so beautiful that my once-favorite MAC Taupe has been sitting untouched for months! While I've never stuck to just one lipstick shade before, Valkyrie looks its absolute best when worn alone.
ConsIf you rub it on too much, it can look a bit cakey. Being a pencil type, the core tends to fall out easily when you open the cap too forcefully. You need to be extra gentle when opening it to preserve this precious product! The brand's own pencil sharpener costs about $10, which is quite pricey. I found that Innisfree and NYX sharpeners are compatible. After trying them all, I ended up selling them and now use a NARS pencil sharpener instead.
TipRegarding the cakiness I mentioned earlier, if you apply it with light tapping motions, you'll get a clear, reddish yet muted color. It's hard to describe the exact shade - it's just uniquely Valkyrie. If you have a warm undertone, I highly recommend treating yourself to this! I managed to snag mine at the duty-free shop with various discounts for just over $20.

Compared to cheaper drugstore options, it definitely has a more luxurious color! I'd repurchase, and it suits my deep undertone complexion perfectly.
ConsIt might look a bit muted and have a slight dark tinge, but that's part of its charm. Just avoid using it when your skin looks dull.
TipI use the Innisfree Dual Pencil Sharpener because it's affordable. This shade pairs well with black or gray outfits.

Among all the lip products I've tried, NARS lip pencils seem to have the best adherence and application.
ConsThe main drawback is the high price compared to the amount you get. It's identical to It's Skin Matte Lip Pencil in Warm Cocoa (they share the same manufacturer), so I've been using that one lately.
TipInstead of buying the expensive NARS pencil sharpener, get the Innisfree dual pencil sharpener. It works hard for a fraction of the price.
