As someone with an oily scalp that gets itchy after just one day, I find this shampoo really helps reduce both the itchiness and oiliness. I love that this shampoo is free from 20 potentially harmful ingredients and works really well for me. I alternate between this and the Avalon Tea Tree shampoo. It lathers beautifully, leaves my scalp feeling refreshed, and doesn't make my hair too stiff. I'm very satisfied with it. I'm actually quite happy with this product and use it regularly. In the past, it didn't lather well and left my hair feeling too stiff when rinsing, which was inconvenient. It's just about what we'd expect from a shampoo... Not quite remarkable enough to rave about, but not problematic either. It's in that middle ground. The lather is better than expected and the scent is just right - I love it! The large size is convenient as it lasts for a long time. I'm not sure if it's because of this product or just the change of seasons, but I've noticed a bit more hair fall lately.

I've been using this for over two years. Its organic ingredients make it gentle and reliable, which is really reassuring. While the lather might be slow to build at first, if you keep massaging, it produces a rich, satisfying foam. In the past, I suffered from inflammation and blemishes due to an oily, heated scalp. But since using this product, I've been liberated from all that discomfort! (I also recommend OGX products from the same company as Avalon, as they're equally gentle on the scalp and don't cause any issues) Your hair turns into a frizzy mess. Some buyers think it's because of the strong cleansing power, but that's not the case. It's actually because the shampoo lacks silicone or other ingredients that make hair soft. After washing, your hair becomes coarse. There are no strong cleansing agents either, so its cleansing effectiveness is actually worse than regular shampoos. If you don't have an allergy or aversion to lavender scent, this is a great gentle shampoo. Since it's paraben-free, it doesn't cause any blemishes. However, if you have an oily scalp, don't expect strong cleansing effectiveness. Start by thoroughly wetting your scalp with water. Once the dirt, oil, and dead skin cells have softened a bit, lather up the shampoo and massage it into every nook and cranny. Take a brief break to do other shower tasks, then rinse. I bought this because it's popular on iHerb and other sites. If you enjoy lavender scents, you'll probably like this. After using this product, I developed a rash on my scalp, face, and around my neck. I was worried about hair loss, and initially I liked this product because it was easily available at the supermarket and felt light when using it, but... For my sensitive scalp, the four allergens in this product made my head too itchy. Even though I'm on my second bottle, I probably won't repurchase.
