The satin formula absorbs smoothly and feels moisturizing, though it can transfer due to its texture. It has excellent staying power. The formula applies quite thickly, almost like a layer of red bean paste. I was hoping for a cool-toned shade, but unfortunately...

Although it belongs to the matte lip category, it does not feel as matte when applied. It also does not feel as dry afterwards. The pigmentation is good, which is nice. I thought it would be closer to the classic red, but it has a slight pink tone. Incredible pigmentation!!! This is a genuine red color haha It doesn't seem to be a bright red, but rather a balanced red that is neither too dark nor too light..? The application is really great! The color payoff is also good, and it applies smoothly - it's really great👍 Everything else is good, but the longevity is low.. I was looking for a red lipstick and was able to purchase it at a discounted price during my travels at the duty-free shop! The color is just as beautiful as I expected! It's a really vibrant red! If you're looking for a red lip, I'd highly recommend this one!! My lipstick container seems to have become a bit loose over time... Since it's magnetic, it's gotten a bit weaker as I've used it more. At first, it was really sturdy, but now it feels a bit loose. Other than that, I'm quite satisfied with the product! I have a cooler skin tone with reddish undertones, and I applied the Peripera Outward Beauty Base as a base, then used it as a pop of color on the inner part of my lips. It looked absolutely gorgeous! (By the way, I really like matte lipsticks on a dewy base.) I also bought it from the Shilla Duty-Free Online Shop, and it was about 10,000 won cheaper than the regular price! At first, it felt like a semi-matte texture, but it went on more smoothly than I expected. And the moment it settles on the lips, it becomes so fixed that it feels like it's my natural lip color, making the color last a really long time. The color itself is a deep red without any brownish or purplish undertones, so just one application gives you a perfect makeup look. While lining the lips with the same bold red looks great, if you lightly smudge it before it sets completely, you can create a nice pink-toned gradient effect. I was considering the Jungle Red from the Nars line, but it was too matte and had more brown tones, so I end up using this Retro Red more often. Also, being a Nars product, the sleek and beautiful packaging makes the lipstick feel even more luxurious. The only downside, which is quite obvious, is that as a matte lipstick, you need to make sure to properly exfoliate your lips. I usually mix this with the Coral Pink shade 12 from Laneige, applying it just to the inner part of my lips. This creates a nice gradient effect, and the Laneige formula is so moisturizing that it prevents any dryness or emphasizing of lip flakes, while still lasting a long time. - ho**********Combination SkinApr 29, 2017

I only learned about it online and bought it through a friend, and when I first saw it, I was a bit worried it was a slightly darker red. Since my skin tone is more on the warm side, wearing Rita alone felt a bit overwhelming for me. **Since it's matte, make sure to exfoliate your lips before applying. **The same goes for the NARS lip pencils - the color payoff is quite sheer, so over time it may just leave a stain along the lip line. *If you lightly dab it onto your moisturized lips and then press your lips together, it will give a natural, flushed lip look. *It looks gorgeous layered over a nudey, dewy coral or pink shade as well!
