It's so gentle and comfortable. In winter, my skin gets dry, so I need to apply it several times.
ConsIt's such a shame it's only available through international shipping. You have to order it a month before you run out.

When my dermatitis flares up, this is the only product I use.
ConsIt can feel a bit drying. However, applying multiple thin layers works well. I noticed some pilling when I applied this over richer products, so I either use this alone or apply it first in my routine.

The simple ingredient list with a thermal water base gives your skin an incredibly soothing feeling. It absorbs quickly without any stickiness, leaving your skin feeling comfortable. The finish is really nice! You have to try it to understand how amazing it is. • I don't have sensitive skin, but I bought this because I wanted to try a light and gentle moisturizer for my excessive oiliness and blackheads on my nose. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to have made my sebum production or blackheads worse! The feel on the skin is truly gentle and pleasant!
Cons• The amount you get for the price seems a bit small. It feels like it runs out quickly... • If you don't have oily skin, this alone might not provide enough hydration for you. • The accessibility is really disappointing!

However, I've noticed gradual improvement since using Avène Emulsion. I've gone through countless bottles, and even when I try to switch to other cosmetics, I always come back to this emulsion. As someone with folliculitis, seborrheic dermatitis, and acne, I feel a sense of comfort whenever I use this emulsion.
ConsWhile the ingredient list is simple, it's not a product known for exceptional hydration. It might feel dry during winter. It's also disappointing that it's only available online, not in stores, which limits accessibility.
TipWhen you have super sensitive skin, it's best to consistently use one product.

Remembering this product from when I lived in the UK, I decided to repurchase it. After using it for about two weeks, I can confirm it's still the most comfortable moisturizer I've used and suits my skin perfectly.
ConsThe texture is a bit thick, so it doesn't feel great when applying, but it absorbs quickly and spreads cleanly. One downside is that it's not sold in regular Olive Young stores, so you have to buy it online or through international shopping. Many reviews mention the inconvenient packaging, and it's true that if you don't control the pressure, it can explode out in large amounts. I've gotten used to it now and carefully dispense small amounts. August 15, 2020 update: I heard that the caprylic ingredient is derived from coconuts, and I'm not sure if it's because of this, but my skin became too oily and I even developed inflammatory acne... I'm no longer using this product.

Even slightly rich products make my face oily and itchy. Shea butter, centella, panthenol, ceramides, hyaluronic acid - nothing worked, and I've been a skincare nomad forever. But this product? I've used over three bottles! It moisturizes effectively without being greasy. My skin feels so comfortable. Super sensitive folks, you need to try this. I'm back to repurchase!
ConsThere's nothing bad about it. I just hope it doesn't get discontinued. It would be great if it were more widely available in Korea too.

My skin feels so comfortable~~
ConsI'm satisfied because I only look for complete comfort after application, without expecting anything else. However, for those seeking multiple benefits, this might feel lacking.

When applied, my skin feels comfortable. I heard even dermatologists recommend it for patients with sensitive skin due to its excellent formulation.
ConsDue to the container design, if you're not careful with the pressure, it can come out too quickly. I'll try to squeeze it gently when using. It would be great if they offered a larger size too.
TipIt feels really nice when applied after patting on a low pH toner. In dry winters, I layer it over a low pH emulsion. I plan to purchase the version for dry skin from the same line later, instead of the emulsion.

Then I discovered a blogger talking about seborrheic dermatitis and noticed this product had excluded certain problematic ingredients, so I bought it right away. Unlike other products I've used before, I've been using this for almost a month now without any discomfort. Although my skin is so oily in summer that I don't need moisturizer, I still need one from the changing seasons through winter due to dryness. This cream has been great - it slightly moisturizes my rough skin without causing any major blemishes.
Cons10/30/19 - The preservative-free packaging is a plus, but if you squeeze it carelessly, too much product comes out and you can't put it back in, which is such a waste. Also, the hydration is slightly lacking. It was fine until recently, but with the sudden cold weather, I'm feeling a bit of dryness, so I apply it twice in pea-sized amounts. When I apply too much at once, I get small bumps. Even when applying twice, you need to be careful with the amount. 11/27/19 - Update: As the weather got colder, I felt more dryness and carelessly applied more, resulting in a pustule 😭 I didn't even increase the amount that much, but after applying it for about two days, a large pimple appeared on my face. Even if it feels dry, I'll have to apply only a small amount of this cream.

Ingredients I love that Avène Thermal Spring Water, which works well for me, is the first ingredient, and there are only 6 other ingredients. The simple formulation is great. It's free from ingredients that could clog pores or irritate oily or sensitive skin, making it comfortable to use. 2. Texture It's white and has a cream-like consistency, but it's not greasy. The texture is smooth yet matte, spreading thinly and evenly. When you gently apply a small amount to your skin, it feels soft and velvety, leaving a baby-soft finish while combating dryness. For me, it's a true holy grail product! At first glance, it looks like a white ointment, which made me worry it might be too oily. However, unlike typical emulsions or creams, it doesn't feel greasy. It leaves a soft, powdery finish on oily skin, which I absolutely love! 3. Packaging The patented D.E.F.I. sterile container allows for hygienic, long-term use. Regarding product dispensing, I was surprised by how much came out on the first day. But I found that gently pressing only on the edge of the opening, allowing the emulsion to come out through the small circle, provides good control.
Cons1. Accessibility While Avène products are easily found in stores like Olive Young, Lohb's, and Lalavla, this 'Tolérance Extrême Emulsion' seems harder to find. It's often out of stock even on Avène's official website. 2. Price I don't find the price disappointing. It's meant for those with sensitive skin who shouldn't use many products or apply them heavily. The 50ml for 37,000 won doesn't seem burdensome, especially since you only need a small amount. You can also find it cheaper if you search online.
Tip1. For Oily Skin This product works perfectly as a moisturizer for my skin, which is oily in summer and oily to combination in other seasons. After cleansing with a low pH cleansing water and low pH cleansing gel (or gel-to-foam), I spray Avène mist to hydrate and soothe my skin, then finish with a tiny amount of Avène Tolérance Emulsion for moisture. As someone with oily skin, I initially wanted to finish my skincare routine with just an essence (serum) after the Avène mist. However, I worried this might lead to dryness and milia in fall and winter. It's also challenging to find objectively gentle essences (serums). So, I turned to creams and emulsions from derma-cosmetic brands based on thermal spring water. I'm very satisfied with the results - it moisturizes well even with a thin layer. Other creams and emulsions either leave my skin feeling dry if I use a small amount, or cause acne if I use too much due to excess oil. The Avène Tolérance Emulsion moisturizes my skin without feeling greasy, even with a small amount. 2. For Dry Skin Since it leaves a soft, powdery finish on my oily skin, those with dry skin might find it insufficient in winter. If you're okay with shea butter, you might want to try Avène Tolérance Cream. If mineral oil doesn't bother you, Avène CPI Cream could be a good option. Both creams also use the D.E.F.I. sterile container for hygienic use.
