ConsNo matter how much I try, it just won't come off completely. Maybe because the ingredients are so gentle, there's too much residue left behind. Even when I follow up with a cleansing foam, it still feels a bit uncomfortable. I'm surprised to see so many reviews on Hwahae saying the cleansing effectiveness is good!
TipThis might be suitable for those who only apply sunscreen.

Easily accessible and readily available for purchase
ConsI'm quite baffled. My face feels dirtier after cleansing than before. The slippery feeling on my skin is no joke. Even after trying a second cleanse with a foam cleanser, it doesn't wash off well, and I can't handle it. I've used cleansing emulsions from other brands before trying this one, but it's inconvenient and doesn't compare well, especially on days when I wear makeup. I can't cleanse with this emulsion on those days.
TipThis might be suitable for those with extremely dry skin who don't wear any makeup at all

Great ingredients for sensitive skin 2. Gentle and non-irritating 3. Decent cleansing effectiveness 4. Convenient travel-size and affordable price 5. Moisturizing 6. Absorbs well 7. Excellent for those with dry skin 8. Love the packaging design!
ConsIf you rinse it off with water instead of using cotton pads or tissues, it feels quite slippery and like it hasn't been properly removed. I usually follow up with a cleansing foam, but after using this cleansing emulsion, the foam doesn't lather up well. That's how slippery and oily it feels. This is my first time using an emulsion, and it's just too slippery... While it doesn't cause any skin reactions and is moisturizing, affordable, and has decent cleansing power, I find it usable. I was about to repurchase when I ran low, but I decided to try other products instead, so I'm not using it currently.
TipI recommend applying the emulsion thoroughly, wiping it off with cotton pads or cleansing tissues, and then following up with a cleansing foam!

I don't wear much makeup, so I don't need deep cleansing! I recommend this to people who feel the same way. Compared to using cleansing oils or waters, this causes no irritation. Even after cleansing, my face feels comfortable. The amount you get for the price is quite generous, so you can use it without holding back and it'll last over a month.
ConsThe scent is too rich... It's not a buttery richness, but more like cooking oil, and I couldn't get used to it even after using it for over a month. Also, it really just has an emulsion texture, so the more you rub it in, the more it seems to absorb into the skin. Using it makes me feel really uncomfortable. I can't tell if it has any cleansing effectiveness at all. It feels too unsatisfying to use on makeup, so I used cleansing water first, then this. Even then, it felt unsatisfying, so I washed again with a cleansing foam... Since it doesn't have any dead skin cells or sebum removal functions, it feels like impurities are just building up... Personally, I find the user experience so unpleasant that I won't be repurchasing.

Affordable price. Widely available, making it easy to purchase.
ConsDiscontinued use after 1 month. Seems to lack cleansing effectiveness... Used cleansing emulsion once, followed by cleanser twice. Still visible residue remains... Slippery feeling persists no matter how much I wash. Some say it's normal, but I'm not a fan... Blemishes appeared around forehead hairline and chin area... Not sure if it's because of this product, but... Stopped using it.

It's also fragrance-free. The absorption is good.
ConsIt doesn't come off easily... I cleansed once and used an exfoliating toner, but the BB cream was still there. It's also hard to remove with just water.
TipMake sure to double cleanse, use an exfoliating toner, and rinse thoroughly with water multiple times!

ConsI have extremely dry skin, so I had high hopes for this product since it's supposed to be gentle and can be rinsed off with just water. But I'm disappointed. As a cleansing emulsion, it doesn't cleanse well at all. I alternate between using mineral sunscreens like Sidmool Dr. Troub Bio and Innisfree The Minimum Baby, but this product struggles to remove both. Neither of these are waterproof sunscreens, by the way. The Sidmool Dr. Troub Bio sunscreen is somewhat easier to remove, but it still takes longer than with other cleansing products. From the moment I apply this cleanser, it feels like it's not adhering well. I have to massage quite firmly for a long time and rinse with water for ages before it comes off. The Innisfree The Minimum Baby sunscreen doesn't come off at all. It mixes with the Minimum cleansing emulsion into a sticky mess that won't budge no matter how much I rinse with water. I ended up having to double cleanse. It feels like trying to wash off Vaseline with just water - the sunscreen mixes with the cleanser, turning white and clumping together, while water just beads off as if it were waterproof. I mean, shouldn't it at least be able to remove a sunscreen from the same product line? While the product itself feels gentle when applied to the face, the fact that it doesn't cleanse well means I have to rub and wash for a long time, making it hard to say it's a gentle and hydrating cleansing experience. Even after I manage to rinse it off with water, my skin feels drier than usual, despite having applied a moisturizer. I've never had a first-step cleanser that's this ineffective at removing products. To be honest, I'm a bit shocked. To add insult to injury, I had the bad luck of buying this at full price just a day before a sale started. That makes it even more frustrating.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThis product is truly gentle. I don't think I've ever experienced any blemishes after using it. As it's a cleansing emulsion, my skin feels incredibly soft after washing, without any tightness... That's where the positives end though.
ConsUnfortunately, the emulsion's softness is short-lived, as you need to follow up with a cleansing foam for a double cleanse. Double cleansing is absolutely necessary with this product. It definitely doesn't remove makeup completely on its own. I used it several times without realizing this, and when I finally wiped my face with a cleansing tissue, I was shocked to see how much makeup came off. I really liked that it had gentle ingredients, which is why I bought it, but I've now seen its limitations. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 is out of respect for the fact that I never had an allergic reaction and it was indeed a gentle product. I won't be repurchasing.

Haha!
ConsI stocked up during a sale, but now I regret it. It's too watery, and I'm not sure if it's actually removing anything. It barely removes eyeliner, so I have to use a separate remover. Even after double cleansing with a foam cleanser, it feels like something's still left on my skin. The overall feeling is not great... I shouldn't have bought it.

ConsIt struggles to remove all makeup. I bought this as a gentle emulsion for the first step of my cleansing routine, but while it is indeed gentle, its cleansing effectiveness is significantly lacking. You'd need to cleanse three times to completely remove makeup, which defeats the purpose of a first-step cleanser. It makes me wonder if it's even worth using. I think it might be better to just wash twice with a cleansing foam instead!
